“From the start, I had a very specific vision for my wedding day that I planned myself. I was a DIY decor bride, with particular taste. Throughout the wedding planning process, I realized that on the day of my wedding trying to navigate having a separate ceremony and reception location, there was no way I was going to be able to do it all myself. I met with many Massachusetts wedding planners and day of coordinators and absolutely no one is as dedicated to their couples as Shelby. From the time we hired Shelby for “month of” planning support, she was our biggest cheerleader and accountability partner. Shelby never thought we were “too much” and went out of her way to ask detailed questions about what our vision for our big day was. There is no job the day of the wedding that Shelby can’t handle. Because of Shelby, all my vendors had a detailed timeline of what to expect day of and what I wanted from them. When I tell you I didn’t have to make a single phone call or write a single email to a vendor, I mean NOBODY called me to ask questions the week of the wedding. This is because Shelby handles everything and follows up with everyone on your behalf before they could call you. All my vendors loved working with Shelby and appreciated her professionalism and thoroughness. On the day of the wedding, Shelby executed every single piece of my wedding better than I could have imagined. She took care to display everything beautifully, and I received so many compliments about how all the little details came together. Shelby constantly checked in with me to make sure I had anything I needed. My day was completely stress free due to Shelby. At the end of the night, everything was already packed up for me and placed in the designated areas. My husband and I both were hesitant to hire a wedding planner, especially because we had already planned so much of the wedding on my own. “It is not unusual for wedding planning to begin more than a year in advance of your big day. Venue, flowers, decor, churches (bring your own priest which is a thing), engagement photos, DJ, wedding party, save the dates, invitations. The list DOES. NOT. STOP. With all of these moving parts it really makes you wonder how such a complex event can happen without the slightest issue and seemingly end before you know it. Well, Liv is our reason. After months of planning, and picking, and choosing, and changing, and scrapping ideas our bandwidth for creativity and follow-through was wearing thin. Liv saved the day. She seamlessly coordinated communications between all parties and vendors to ensure that everyone was on the same page. I will honestly say that without her our day would not have come together like it did. Everyone tells you that something will inevitably go wrong regardless of how thorough your planning. Liv didn’t let that happen. The groomsmen forgot tie clips. Liv ran 5 blocks to pick up tie clips for the boys and was back before the girls even arrived at the church. “I could not have asked for a smoother wedding day. When we first decided to have our ceremony and reception at two separate locations, and eventually realized we would be working with around ten different vendors, I didn’t fully understand how essential an experienced day-of coordinator would be until late in the planning process. Looking back, I’m so grateful I had the foresight to book with MB Events. I worked with Caroline, and she was truly my rock on our wedding day. She communicated clearly and consistently and brought such a calm, genuine presence that immediately put me at ease. We had a few last-minute changes with some guests who were unable to attend while another one was added at the last minute. Caroline handled everything by coordinated directly with the venue to remove chairs and add name cards without needing any prompting from me. I was extremely stressed leading up to the wedding, but in hindsight, I really didn’t need to be. Caroline had everything completely under control! We met four times before the wedding: an initial Zoom meeting, another Zoom call about three months out to review the timeline and vendors, a venue walkthrough, and the rehearsal. She was incredibly detail-oriented and always thoughtful in her approach. It was so helpful to have a professional to bounce ideas off of, and she often raised considerations I hadn’t even thought of. I truly felt like she was my safety net throughout the process. From big to small details - cocktail hour, signature cocktails and menu design to florals, décor, hair and makeup schedules, transportation, seating, themes, clean-up, payment, contracts, vendor coordination, and all the little details you don’t even realize go into a wedding—they thought of everything. CityLux helped us plan our intimate, 30-person, two-day wedding weekend, including our at-home ceremony, a private dinner in Boston, brunch the next morning, and an at-home hibachi celebration. From beginning to end, everything was seamless. They coordinated our vendors, seating, table placement, florals, décor, silverware, timelines, and even last-minute replacements and adjustments. Every vendor worked together, everything was on time, and not a single detail felt out of place. Our planner, Allie, was truly incredible. She brought in wonderful, reliable vendors -- the caterer set up an outdoor kitchen; the tents were put up and taken down smoothly; there were all kinds of outdoor games; there were golf carts to help folks get around, and she had an excellent day-of person. Everything was so well coordinated. She even had contingency supplies arranged in case of rain, but luckily the day was dry. We were impressed, and we got to have a worry-free day.”

“We used Sara as the day of coordinator for our wedding at The White Room in Worcester and I cannot say enough good things about her. We began meeting about a month before the big day and had weekly check in's where she made sure that I was on track and getting everything done that needed to be handled. On the day she helped my parents with set up, ensured everyone was where they needed to be and fielded all questions from vendors and guests. The guests raved about the whole experience, and as far as I know literally nothing went wrong, and if it did, Sara handled it like a pro because I never found out!
