Colleen Callahan is the owner and lead planner of Toasted Host Events, a boutique wedding planning and design company serving New England and beyond. Known for creating celebrations that are deeply personal, intentional, and seamlessly executed, Colleen believes every wedding should tell a story that reflects the couple at its heart. From intimate gatherings to full-scale celebrations, she combines thoughtful logistics with elevated design to create unforgettable experiences that allow couples to be fully present on their wedding day.

I design experiences rather than just managing an event. I think like a producer as well as a creative planner. Beautiful weddings are everywhere. Meaningful experiences are remembered. My main goal when working with my couples is to actually get to know them and pull pieces of their personalities into the wedding day. Rather than chasing trends, I ask, "What feels like them?"     Toasted Host Events was the best Money We Spent

    Wish we could give Colleen 6/5 stars. Working with toasted host events was by far and away the best money we spent on our wedding. Colleen was not only so detail oriented, but she helped us out in ways we did not even know. Between vendor communications and confirmations, advice, and generally being fun to work with, I wish we could throw another wedding just to work with her. We would legitimately get excited for our calls with her, and she and Amy were definitely an addition to our wedding day. Could not recommend Toasted Host Events enough!!!!

    There truly aren't enough words to describe how incredible Colleen and Toasted Host Events were throughout our wedding planning process. From day one, Colleen made us feel completely supported, and by the time our Cape Cod wedding arrived, I honestly couldn't imagine doing it without her. She went above and beyond in every possible way. She joined every vendor call, helped build and manage our timeline, coordinated all the logistics, ran our rehearsal flawlessly, oversaw every detail of the wedding setup, and made sure everything came together exactly as we envisioned. She thought of things we never would have, and because of her, we were actually able to enjoy the planning process instead of feeling overwhelmed. On our wedding day, I never had to worry about a single thing. Anytime I needed something, had a question, or something unexpected came up, Iknew Colleen already had it handled. That kind of peace of mind is priceless. She made everything feel effortless so we could be fully present and enjoy every moment with our family and friends. Beyond being incredibly organized and talented, Colleen is one of the sweetest, kindest people you'll ever meet. She brings the best energy wherever she goes—calm, positive, reassuring, and always smiling. She made everyone around her feel so comfortable and it truly felt like having a friend by our side throughout the entire experience! Our vendor coordinator was fine but she could never have handled everything we wanted with the same care as Colleen did. To vendor coordinator’s you’re just another number in their summer wedding season, but with Colleen she will care as much about your wedding as you do ensuring everything goes perfectly. Our wedding was everything we had hoped for and more, and so much of that is thanks to Colleen. We are beyond grateful for everything she did and cannot recommend her and Toasted Host Events highly enough.

    Hire her!!

    From our first meeting with Colleen at Toasted Host Events, we knew we had found the right planner for our wedding.     Hire Colleen!!

    About two months before the wedding, I realized I needed some extra support, and Colleen immediately stepped in to help. She worked with me to create a detailed timeline, coordinated final vendor communications, and brought so much organization and confidence to the planning process. On the wedding day, Colleen and Amy had a true “yes first” mentality. No matter what came up, they handled it with positivity, professionalism, and a smile. They took care of countless details that I never would have thought about, from coordinating flower transportation to making sure our rings and vow books got to the officiant and best man exactly when they needed to. They also did an incredible job keeping our wedding party and family members organized and where they needed to be throughout the day. Because of them, I was able to stay present, enjoy every moment, and trust that everything behind the scenes was being handled. If you’re on the fence about hiring a day-of coordinator, do it, and if you have the chance to work with Colleen and Amy, even better. Their support, attention to detail, and genuine care made our wedding day run seamlessly, and I am so grateful for everything they did for us.
