“We held our wedding at Mess Hall in October 2024 and couldn't be happier with how things went. From the very beginning, working with Al, the owner, was a dream. He's incredibly responsive and thoughtful and helped us think through a vision for the evening. He had great recommendations for food and drink that felt personal to our taste as a couple. His ability to think big-picture AND attend to the smallest details made for an incredibly smooth planning process and sensational wedding day. Our guests loved the industrial vibe of the garage bay and the farmhouse/tavern feel of the interior rooms - the best of both worlds! When speeches went long during dinner, Al worked with us in the moment to adjust our timeline so we could maximize time on the dance floor. Al doesn't miss a beat. We wholeheartedly recommend Mess Hall for your next big event!”

“We picked Clyde’s because the location was close to my church, where we did the ceremony, and because it was one of the few venues in that radius that fit our budget. I picked Clyde’s for practical reasons and looking back I couldn’t have made a better choice. I always knew I wanted my wedding reception to be fun and relaxed and have plenty of good food and drinks for my guests. Clyde’s so fit the bill. First, the food is simple yet delicious. We already knew that from dining there, and the tasting confirmed it. We were able to make menu choices to please everyone. Second, our room was beautiful and uniquely decorated and that makes a fun atmosphere. It was large enough to fit all our guests and have room to dance (we had about 50 people, but could have fit more in the room.) finally, the service was exceptional - all our guests commented on how great the servers and bartenders were at their jobs. We felt so welcome. The event staff went above and beyond to work with me to decorate and set tables to my specifications. If you are considering Clyde’s, I highly recommend them. DC wedding venues are expensive and Clyde’s was one of the few places we could afford, but even if our budget was higher, I couldn’t imagine a better experience.”

“Getting married at the Royal Sonesta Capitol Hill was the best decision we made in our planning process, and it completely redefined what a hotel wedding can look like. From a logistics and execution standpoint, the staff operated at a level of 5-star professionalism that is hard to find. From our first inquiry onward they treated my wife and I as well as each guest with genuine care and attentiveness. Working with Anais was a truly collaborative process, we felt she was part of our team and she helped us so much throughout our planning and execution. Anais and her staff anticipated our needs and helped execute a perfect event that never felt rushed, and maintained a calm, gracious demeanor through the entire process, especially the wedding weekend itself. The venue itself delivers on every front. The guest rooms and public spaces are immaculate, the reception and ceremony room picture perfect, and the rooftop views of the monuments, breathtaking. Additionally, I’d like to Shout out the staff at the hotel’s restaurant, Bistro Du Jour. In the months leading up the wedding we shared many special moments thanks to Oliver and the team. As for the food options were varied and all exceptional. Multiple guests went out of their way to tell us it was the best wedding meal they'd ever had, and the kitchen executed the entire menu with absolute consistency. The packages for wedding offered are extremely fair, diverse and really remove so much guesswork from the planning. We wish we could get married all over again. We would recommend the Royal Sonesta Capitol Hill to anyone.”

“The Hyatt Regency Tysons Corner was an incredible venue for our wedding in May 2025, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From start to finish, the team was professional, responsive, and a genuine pleasure to work with. A special thank you to Cristine, who was absolutely fantastic—organized, attentive, and wonderful throughout the entire planning process. As an out-of-state bride, I truly appreciated her patience in answering countless questions, coordinating meetings and tastings around my trips to the East Coast, and accommodating multiple ceremony traditions as a Middle Eastern bride. With about 100 out-of-town guests, this was the perfect venue for a Memorial Day weekend celebration. The convenient metro access from the airports and into DC, along with the nearby restaurants and shops, made it an ideal location. While every wedding has its hectic moments, the venue and vendor coordination was seamless, and our guests couldn’t stop raving about the food—especially the steak, which was one of the best we’ve ever had. We are so grateful to the Hyatt Regency Tysons Corner team for making our wedding day truly unforgettable and would wholeheartedly recommend them to any couple.”

“My wife Brittany and I have had a fantastic and transformative experience dancing at Forever Dancing Ballroom! We found them at one of their open house events and immediately booked a package of lessons with Fabio for our wedding. Our dance lessons were always a fun break from wedding planning, and we left every dance lesson feeling better than we did when we walked in. It was exciting to learn new moves and choreography at every lesson. At first, we thought the techniques were difficult, but with practice and good coaching, we were able to learn the steps and perform a romantic and fun first dance at our wedding. It was thrilling to do our dance in front of such a supportive and enthusiastic crowd - we absolutely loved the magic moment of our first dance! My wife and I had a casual interest in dancing before we worked on the first dance with Fabio, but since then, we've become hooked and now we take group classes and have continued with private lessons as well. Jennifer Bonini manages the studio classes, billing, private lessons, events, and more. She is friendly, funny, and supportive, and very excellent at keeping everything organized. A talented dancer herself, Jennifer has also shared some excellent dance coaching with us from time to time. Other coaches at the studio are similarly personable and welcoming to all. The entire vibe at Forever Dancing is simply perfect for those looking for an approachable dance studio that will keep you smiling, moving, and have a blast dancing. I highly encourage you to visit Forever Dancing Ballroom as a studio: for wedding first dance lessons, group classes, cool workshops, and a fulfilling way to spend your time!”

“Our experience with Marriott Fairview Park started out rough. The initial point of contact we worked with was slow to respond, a bit short in their communication style, and overall not great. It wasn't until their director stepped in and made us feel more confident and appreciated in using this venue for our wedding reception. She was quick to respond and made sure we felt stress-free the day of. Additionally, our day-of contact was great throughout the entire process and on the day of the reception itself. Very helpful, attentive, and overall pleasant to work with. The venue itself was great but there were some low points. The tablecloths (white) didn't seem well ironed and two of them looked dirty. We had to flip one the night before and rearrange others to cover some of the blemishes. Without a doubt, Prasha and Corky were the ONLY reason we are giving this an overall 5 because they themselves were A problem solvers who made us feel heard and supported. The price felt fair and everyone loved the food (in-house catering). We would recommend this to others as long as you have Prasha and Corky on your team, otherwise, your mileage may vary.”
