The property, built in 1875 by retired Navy Admiral William Bradford, offers a unique combination of indoor and outdoor spaces. From intimate gatherings and sumptuous dinner parties to festive cocktails and full-scale fetes, Iron Gate has everything you need to make your next event an unforgettable experience. Our warm and cozy Indoor Dining Room gives your guests a front seat to our kitchen where our chef will delight you with a multi-course family-style tasting menu. Wow your guests in the spring, summer and fall under the stunning wisteria and grape vines on our Garden Patio, complete with a retractable awning. Tucked away next to the Garden Patio, our Side Courtyard is the perfect space for intimate dinners, brunches and cocktail parties.

The Garden Patio is a charming outdoor space, perfect for wedding ceremonies, cocktail receptions, and special brunches. Guests will feel transported out of the city as they gather under the stunning wisteria and grape vines that provide natural shade. This enchanting space is available in the spring, summer, and fall, and features a retractable awning for added comfort, ensuring a beautiful experience no matter the weather.

The Side Courtyard
Our most private and intimate space.

Located just off the Garden Patio, this secluded space is perfect for cozy dinners, elegant brunches, and sophisticated cocktail parties. Guests can enjoy a stunning view of St. Matthew’s Cathedral in good weather, or you can opt to rent a tent for a seamless event no matter the forecast.

An Incredible Night!
We got married at Iron Gate this past October, and it exceeded our expectations! We booked Iron Gate a year before the wedding and, from the beginning, they were attentive and communicative. Nari was very helpful guiding us through the initial process and subsequent months, and Daisha was critical leading up to the wedding and the day of. We had multiple meetings with them to go over all details, which put our minds at ease. We also appreciate that we could do a tasting of our full menu and wine options, as well as a final walkthrough. Iron Gate also let us store our wedding items with them the day before, which made the wedding day that much easier. On the wedding day, Iron Gate’s team was on top of everything. The space was gorgeous and made for incredible ambiance. We had 53 guests, and the space was perfect for a group that size. Iron Gate’s staff quickly flipped the ceremony space for dinner and, later, flipped it again for dancing. We were concerned about the flips because they had potential to slow the night’s energy, but Iron Gate’s team got them done very quickly. The dinner and wine were amazing, as expected. The courses were paced well, servers were attentive, and Tanya did a great job keeping everything running smoothly. For cocktail hour and reception, the bar team did a great job keeping the drinks flowing and not keeping our guests waiting long. We could go on, but, in sum, Iron Gate was an amazing place for our wedding, and we are so happy with how the night went!

The team at Iron Gate Restaurant went above and beyond to make our wedding day truly special. From the moment we first reached out, their communication was responsive, proactive, and clear - they made the planning process seamless. On the day of, the venue was absolutely beautiful, with a warm, romantic, and cozy atmosphere that felt like an intimate family dinner. Tanya, took especially good care of my grandmother, and the staff checked on us frequently to ensure everything was perfect. They even worked with us to select a wine that accommodated my sulfate allergy. We loved every moment of our wedding at Iron Gate and would highly recommend them to any couple looking for a stunning, personalized celebration.
