    Perfect Wedding Venue

    The Atrium at Meadowlark Botanical Gardens was the perfect setting for our wedding day. From the start, Shoug and her team took a collaborative approach to planning with us, helping us coordinate everything from catering to linen rentals and connecting us with vendors we trusted. The space itself is truly beautiful with those magical vibes we were looking for, and we loved how flexible the indoor and outdoor areas were for our celebration. It felt intimate even though we had all our loved ones there, and our guests could not stop complimenting the venue throughout the night. Shoug's team worked like true partners with us every step of the way, making sure every detail came together seamlessly, and we could just enjoy our day. We could not have asked for a better experience.

    Truly the Perfect Wedding Venue

    I can’t say enough good things about The Atrium! The staff were incredibly helpful, organized, and truly knew what they were doing — every detail was perfectly accounted for. The venue itself is absolutely stunning, and they made sure everything ran seamlessly from start to finish. When there was a chance of rain, the team was so responsive and ready to pivot without hesitation, which made me feel completely at ease. I felt so supported throughout the entire process, and the day couldn’t have been more beautiful. Highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a flawless and stress-free experience!

    Bride

    The Atrium at Meadowlark Botanical Gardens was the perfect venue for our wedding. From the moment we first reached out, the staff was efficient, personalized, and extremely helpful in guiding us through the planning process. On the day of, they seamlessly transitioned the indoor space from our ceremony to the reception during cocktail hour, allowing our guests to enjoy the beautiful greenhouse setting throughout the entire event. The Atrium itself is a stunning space, with an abundance of soft light and lush greenery that made for the most gorgeous backdrop for our special day. The value we received was truly worth every penny, and we cannot recommend this venue enough to any couple looking for a breathtaking and memorable wedding experience.

    Such a beautiful space!!

    As soon as we took a tour of the Atrium, we knew this was the perfect spot to get married. The gardens are beautiful, and the inside the building the glass walls, plants, and little river give an airy and natural feel. I didn't worry about rain because you feel like you're outside even when you're in. When guests got too hot on the dance floor, they could go out and socialize on the patio overlooking the gardens in the cool night air. Given the meal prices for comparable venues, this venue is GREAT VALUE!! The food was great and the guests were happy. There were a couple small things that might be helpful to share, though. Our point of contact changed several times in the span of our engagement and there was sometimes a delay in communication. Also, the venue was marketed as a capacity of 200 people but it is better suited to weddings of 160-180 guests. When you go over 180, you have to choose some guests to seat in a room that feels divided by the little stream which is awkward. Also, there is no space for getting ready so brides and bridesmaids have to get ready off-site. Overall, I was overjoyed with having my wedding day here and I think for the price we still had an incredible experience. I don't regret it at all!!

    Great Indoor Venue

    The Atrium at Meadowlark Botanical Gardens was everything we could ever ask for in a wedding ceremony and reception venue. The unique indoor space with large windows and beautiful winter decorations (our wedding was held in December) was a perfect match for us. Their in-house catering, Great Blue Heron Catering, was also a great vendor to work with and offered many options for meals and bar packages. All staff we interacted with from the day of our menu tasting through the day of the wedding, were very friendly and professional. We appreciate the team at Atrium at Meadowlark Botanical Gardens for helping to make our event a night to remember.

You may hold a date free of charge for 7 days.
The security deposit is $1,000 and is fully refundable after the event if there are no contractual violations.
We will periodically offer seasonal discounts and reduced rates for rentals with a short term booking. Inquire with the Events Office for further detail.
The Atrium does not have a waiting list. All dates are filled on a first come first serve basis. Please feel free to check back as frequently as you would like for current availability.
We require you to use our in-house Catering Department with either Full Service ($8,000 f&b minimum) or Pass-through Service. We will allow professional Outside Catering for events that are booked less than 4 months from the event date, with an additional fee of $1,000 plus tax. All Outside Catering MUST be pre-approved by the Events Office. No exceptions.
The Atrium has a maximum capacity of 230 guests seated. The capacity includes area for a dance floor, DJ, bar(s), plated dinner service, gift table, place card table, and cake table. The Atrium can also accommodate up to 300 guests with certain set ups. However, the capacity varies depending upon the event set up.
We only allow one event per day, so you may choose a time block that will best suit your needs. However, it needs to include all the setup and breakdown, and it may never exceed the area curfew. Sunday – Thursday: Curfew is 11:00pm Friday – Saturday & Sunday (before federal holiday): Curfew is 1:00am
Ceremony locations are inside the Atrium, the Atrium Terrace, and any of the three Gazebos on the property. Seating is not permitted at the gazebos, aside from pre-existing benches. No other areas of the gardens are acceptable for ceremonies.
Any activities planned to take place outside would be moved inside The Atrium. There are several options for a back up plan and one would be predetermined prior to the event.
Limited storage is available with the approval of the Events Office.
All Alcoholic Beverages MUST be arranged with Great Blue Heron Catering. Providing alcohol from outside sources is not permitted. Alcohol is only allowed within the Atrium, and cannot be taken into the Gardens.
Amplified sound is not permitted outdoors (with the exception of ceremony music).
Real candles enclosed by votives, globes, hurricanes, lanterns, or similar container are permitted. The flame cannot go above the top of the container, and wax needs to be contained. Ceremonial candles/flames are allowed, and must be approved in advance.
Tenting of the Atrium Terrace is only permitted provided the client uses the approved vendor. Inquire with the Events Office for more information.
“In Jurisdiction” refers to clients that reside in NOVA Parks Jurisdictions and are eligible for a discount. Jurisdictions include Counties of Arlington, Fairfax & Loudoun; Cities of Alexandria, Fairfax & Falls Church. “Out of Jurisdiction” refers to clients who reside outside of NOVA Parks Jurisdictions and are not eligible for a discount.
Events need someone outside of the wedding party to help coordinate the ceremony and all the event details. We highly suggest you have at least a Day-of-Coordinator, or ask a family member or friend to fill that role in the event you do not have a planner. Our Staff is here to help, but we are not able to fill this role for you.
In the event that the Renter cancels the reservation 365 days or more prior to the rental date, the entire deposit is refundable, less a $500 administrative fee. In the event that the Renter cancels the reservation less than 365 days prior to the rental date, all deposits and payments are forfeited with the exception of the security deposit ($1,000).
Your rental includes an 8 hour minimum block of time. Rental times need to include a minimum 1 ½ hour set-up, and minimum 30 minute breakdown for Great Blue Heron Catering and other vendors. Linens are NOT included, and can be added to your Catering Package.
After the hold process, you may proceed to contract. At this time, a $500 contracting fee is required to process your booking. This fee is applied towards your total Venue Rental, and is non-refundable.
After you receive the contract, half (50%) of the Venue Rental is due with the signed contract to lock in your date. The remainder, plus a refundable security deposit of $1,000, is due 30 days before your event.
