About this venue
District Winery hosts full-service weddings for up to 200 guests. The first working winery in Washington, DC, District Winery is located in Navy Yard along the Anacostia River. Our modern, sophisticated, waterfront wedding venue with floor to ceiling windows, an outdoor terrace, and sweeping river views is the ideal venue for your wedding. District Winery include our highly regarded wedding cuisine and wines made onsite. Executive Chef Christian Fischhuber brings years of international culinary expertise to our venue, as he oversees every detail of your menu. Couples work with a District Winery event manager who will assist with all of the details, from helping curate the perfect menu to coordinating with vendors to ensure seamless execution. All District Winery weddings are turnkey and include the use of our custom walnut tables, chairs, high top tables, bar stools, marble topped bars, china, glassware, flatware, linen napkins, printed menus, table top items to enhance your decor.

Host your ceremony on our wraparound terrace or in our second floor, indoor private space with floor to ceiling windows. Enjoy cocktail hour either outdoors on the terrace or on our mezzanine level overlooking the winery production space and barrel room. Then dine and dance the night away with unobstructed riverfront and sunset views.

Second Floor Cocktail Space Overlooking the Working Winery
This space is the perfect place to greet guests and host a cocktail hour. With glass windows overlooking the winery and wine displays, you'll have the perfect backdrop for photos. High top tables, staged couches and chairs and other furniture additions are commonly utilized in this space.

Top Floor
Expansive Top Floor Space with Attached Terrace
This space is the largest in the venue. Room dividers can break the space into three different sections, with the North and South ends holding 76 people seated or 125 standing. The center section can hold 48 seated or 50 standing. This layout is ideal for "hiding" the reception/cocktail space during the ceremony.

Beautiful from start to end!
District Winery provided an immaculately organized, friendly, and exciting experience for our wedding day! The venue is sleek, yet warm with dark wood, beautiful lighting, and a view of the water. The food was great! The cocktails were flowing! And the night was better than we could have imagined! There was no doubt in my mind that the wedding would go off without a hitch - they do so many weddings, and they are all perfect! We even got lucky with a surprise fireworks show from Nationals Park during our reception! Kat, our amazing planner, made us feel beautiful and prepared throughout the entire process. I would highly recommend District Winery to any couple looking for a stunning and well-executed wedding venue.
District Winery makes wedding planning a breeze!
No review can express how grateful we are to the whole District Winery team, especially our coordinator Kat Excellent (her real name), but we'll try our best! When we discussed what vibe we wanted for our wedding, the first word we said was "fun," (followed by "good food" and "beautiful") and District Winery helped us hit it out of the park. We truly cannot recommend District Winery enough! From the very first phone call and walk through, we knew that District Winery was the venue for us. The space is so beautiful, with indoor and outdoor options and tons of flexibility for different set up options. They also do a lot in-house (catering, seats and tables, some decor,) and provide you with a dedicated "day of" coordinator a few months out. Even before we were assigned to Kat, the team was super responsive anytime we had questions and made the planning process super seamless. Also, while they don't require use of their preferred vendors, their list is truly top tier (we used a recommended photographer, florist, DJ, and bakery), which made the process super easy. We had our ceremony inside and the cocktail reception on the terrace while the team flipped the room. It was so seamless that our guests hardly noticed! The space is pretty open, so you can really transform it depending on the look and feel you want for your wedding (although the space is already beautiful, so you don't really need to do much!). We also have to give Chef Nick and his team a special shoutout. We had some pretty intense dietary needs (kosher meals, vegans, serious allergies) and the kitchen team were able to address all of that! He was also so kind in helping us pick an entree that was slightly off-menu from the tasting to meet our desires. In the end, all of the food was delicious and we were so happy! Thank you, Chef Nick! Kat is so organized and DW runs events like a well-oiled machine. We had one detailed spreadsheet to keep track of vendors (contact info, arrival/deprature time, COIs, etc), ceremony order, menu, seating chart, room layout, DW decor, personal decor, parking slips...you name it! We also had a walk through with Kat about one month out, which helped finalize a few important details about the space. If you're considering District Winery for your wedding, we highly recommend you do it! You will not regret it!
09/27/25 - The most perfect day
District Winery is an amazing venue and I would encourage anyone to have their wedding there! My husband and I chose this venue because we wanted to have our wedding in festivities all in one spot and deal with as little vendors as possible. District Winery makes all of that possible and they make it as stress free as possible. Working with Tori as our same day coordinator was amazing and she helped us execute our vision seamlessly. If you have the pleasure of working with her, consider yourself lucky! The food was delicious and so many guests could not stop raving to us about their entire meal (the fan favorite was the Fried Chicken)! Thank you to everyone at the District Winery family for making our day absolutely perfect and as stress free as possible!
Highly recommend District Winery!
We got married at District Winery in June and would definitely recommend to others. While we initially thought it would be outside our budget, they were able to work with us to help lower the cost in different ways. In the end, we felt that District Winery was a very good value for what we paid. We didn't have a wedding planner, and our event manager, Kat, was absolutely incredible in the few months leading up to the wedding. She thought of every detail and helped accommodate our different requests from customizing some of the food to splitting cocktail hour between the terrace and mezzanine when we were concerned about the weather. We've also heard so many compliments from our guests on the venue, the food, and even the waitstaff.
