About this venue

Gallery O on H is DC's most unique indoor-outdoor gallery and event venue. It is a space where art,music and the unexpected come together to honor the past and celebrate the present, delivering the authentic experience you were hoping to find for your wedding or event. Gallery O on H is located in the Atlas District Arts and Entertainment neighborhood in the 1300 block of the historic H Street corridor. The venue smoothly integrates the original East Gallery with the newly renovated West Gallery and Garage, all connected by the beautiful Courtyard.

East Gallery

The East Gallery, the original gallery building, consists of two cozy floors with an ADA restroom on the first floor. Take in the beautiful rotating display from Dolly and Steve's private art collection. Couples often use this gallery as the main entrance and have even welcomed their guests herewith a glass of champagne!

West Gallery

The newest addition to Gallery O on H, the West Gallery is the perfect space for an intimate reception or dinner. The original details of the space, lovingly restored during the renovation, make this a truly unique space.The first floor includes a catering kitchen and an ADA restroom, and a permanent ramp.The second floor includes two separate spaces, two additional restrooms, and the Green Room, perfect for getting ready or for a quiet moment during your big day.

With a windowed garage door opening to the private Courtyard, the Garage offers the perfect indoor-outdoor space. Complete with two more ADA restrooms and a custom built-in bar, the space is often used for cocktail hour as well as dinner and dessert buffets.

The rental rate includes the exclusive use of the entire Gallery O on H facility, a venue manager during the event, five cocktail rounds and six wine barrels.
Unfortunately, we do not hold event dates. In order to secure your date, you must submit a signed contract, and a deposit of 50% of your rental rate.
There are a total of six restrooms in the facility, four of which are ADA compliant.
The first floor of the East and West Galleries, Lower Courtyard, and Garage are all ADA accessible. A ramp is available to provide access from the Garage and Upper Courtyard.
From the contract signature to 121 days prior to the event date: Refund of the deposit. From 120 days to 91 days prior to the event date: Loss of 50% deposit. From 90 days prior to the event date: No refunds are offered.
To comply with the city's sound ordinances, and to respect neighbors, music in the Courtyard must maintain a decibel level below 60 dbs in the alley behind the fence. This requirement generally allows for 70-80 dbs inside the Courtyard. The sound level is tightly monitored and enforced by the Gallery O on H staff.
Gallery O on H has a catering kitchen on the first floor of the West Gallery that is perfect for your caterer's set up.
There is no onsite parking available at Gallery O on H. Vendors must may use the loading zone behind the rear gate during load-in and load-out. Immediately after loading, all vehicles MUST be moved to either a paid valet spot or to the street. Vehicles cannot block the alley, as it is a fire lane. Valet parking services are available through H street Valet, but are not included in your rental.
