Epic Sounds is owned and operated by Lance Gray of Charlottesville, VA. Lance started DJing in 1997 and has over 26 years of experience DJing at nightclubs, private parties, military ceremonies (yes he is a Marine) and of course; hundreds of Weddings, Sweet 16s and Quinceañeras, Karaoke. “I have been an avid music lover all my life with a wide variety of genres in which I listen to even on my own time. Thru the years I have aimed at providing a professional service with a local feel and reasonable prices. Let me take the worry of one BIG item off your plate for your event!”

I care about the outcome of every wedding. It's a celebration of love, your love - it's important to me to make sure it is right! Set The Standard, Improve Each Day, and Have Some Fun Licensed and insured as required by many venues! Make It Epic!

    West Virginia wedding

    Lance was phenomenal from start to finish. He scheduled meetings with us as necessary, and was extremely responsive to emails. His portal made it easy and seamless to add songs and upload timelines. He drove out to our venue in WV and did not charge a travel fee. Everyone LOVED him. He read the room and played songs accordingly. He is just the best!!!

    Keep the party going!!

    Epic Sounds was an amazing addition to our wedding! From the beginning Lance was very attentive to our needs and our ideas. He was very flexible with our late add ons (if you’re on the fence about the photo booth definitely get it!!!!!) He provided professional sound and service throughout our entire wedding. Everyone who needed a mic had one set up with ease. He was able to do separate music for us in a different part of the venue for guests who did not want to be around louder music or lights. He was also ready to help with any task that was thrown his way! When I was dead set on a short clip I had seen online and had the idea to mix it with a different song, he was able to achieve my vision and took feedback when I wanted to tweak small things! One of our favorite parts was his ability to mix all night. We did not want a DJ to just press play on a preset playlist and go about their evening. Lance was on top of it the entire time and there was no lull in music or in energy on the dance floor. We requested that there were no slow songs and each song did not play all the way through. It gave him the ability to spin and gave him autonomy to read the dance floor and play whatever fitted the vibe. He made it very easy to make requests for what to play (or not play!) ahead of time and it saved us time and stress the day of. Lance helped our wedding vision come to life – if you want a party on your dance floor, he is your guy!!!

    Epic Job!

    Epic Sounds Entertainment was a fantastic choice for our wedding DJ and photobooth services. From the very first call, their communication was quick, helpful, and easy - they clearly cared about making our day special. Lance, the DJ, had our guests dancing all night long with an amazing music selection and energy. The photobooth crew did a wonderful job capturing all the fun and laughter throughout the evening. The level of intentionality and care they put into their work was evident in every aspect of their service. We are so grateful to Epic Sounds for helping make our wedding day truly amazing!

    Our favorite part of our wedding!!

    AMAZING EXPERIENCE!! I can't say enough good things about Lance. He was great to work with leading up to the wedding and was very professional and responsive. On our actual wedding day, Lance went above and beyond, from showing up early to make sure everything was set up correctly, to recording our ceremony and first dance, and then staying until all the guests were out. We had a very high energy crew and he kept the party going the whole reception. The song transitions were 10/10. The day after our wedding we had multiple guests text us about how amazing our DJ was. We have also had 2 friends who are getting married next year reach out and ask for his contact information. I HIGHLY recommend!
