About Gina May Brown Photography

Gina May Brown Photography

Wedding & Engagement Photographer Capturing Love Stories Worth Keeping

I'm Gina May Brown — a wedding and engagement photographer based in Pulaski, TN, with nearly 40 years behind the lens. I serve a limited number of clients each year so I can show up fully for every single one. My work is quiet, documentary, and deeply personal. I believe your wedding day is the beginning of a family heirloom — not just an event to document, but a story worth preserving for generations.

I do not shoot for trends. I shoot for the daughter who will hold these images thirty years from now and feel everything. My documentary approach means I blend into your day so nothing feels posed and nothing real gets missed. The result is timeless, light-filled images rooted in genuine emotion — heirloom artwork meant to live on your walls and outlast us all. Be present with the people you love. I will take care of preserving the memories.

    10-11-2025 Wedding

Couldn’t recommend better photographers. They were experts at their craft. They were friendly helpful and experienced. They showed up early took photos and even helped us with last minute stuff. They took time to get to know our bridal party and our families. 10/10 would recommend. Best photographers I’ve ever I’ve used for ANY event.

Meilene, thank you from the depths of my heart for these kind and generous words. It was a joy and an honor to be part of your wedding day — a day woven with love, laughter, and unforgettable moments. Your trust allowed us to move seamlessly through the whirlwind, capturing not only the grand scenes but also the quiet, tender in-betweens. It's simple! Just head to my inquiry form at https://tinyurl.com/GMB-Photography-Inquiry and share a little about your date, your vision, and what matters most to you about your day. I read every single message personally and will get back to you warmly and promptly. I can't wait to hear your story.
I usually book sessions 3–6 months in advance and weddings 12–18 months ahead. Fall dates and weekends tend to go quickly—so the sooner, the better!
es! I want working with me to feel as stress-free as possible, so I offer flexible payment plans processed securely through HoneyBook. We'll work out a schedule that feels comfortable for you so you can focus on enjoying your engagement season and looking forward to your day — not stressing over finances. Just mention it when you inquire and we'll figure out what works best for you.
Honestly? Some of my most beautiful images have been made in the rain. Overcast skies mean soft, flattering light — and there's something incredibly romantic about a couple who laughs through a little weather together. For weddings, we work with what the day gives us and I'll always find the beauty in it. For engagement sessions, if conditions are truly unworkable, we'll reschedule to a date that works for both of us. Either way, I've got you — we'll figure it out together.
Guess what? Almost everyone says this — and almost everyone forgets I'm there within minutes. My job is to make you feel like the best version of yourselves — laughing, moving, and soaking in every moment. No stiff poses, just effortless connection with plenty of laughter and gentle guidance along the way. A few tips: get some rest beforehand, hydrate well, and eat a good meal so your energy stays up. Don't stress over a blemish — I've got you covered in editing. Wear something comfortable since we'll be walking and moving around. You just show up and be you. I'll take care of the rest.
Absolutely! Your fur babies are more than welcome — pets are family, and family belongs in your photos. Whether it's a dog who can't stop wiggling or a cat who pretends not to care, I love working with animals and know how to capture their personality alongside yours. I even raise ducks myself, so feathered friends are especially welcome — just be warned, I will absolutely stop to love on them! A few tips: bring their favorite treats to keep them engaged, and plan a good walk or playtime beforehand so they're calm and happy. The more relaxed they are, the more magical the images will be.
I capture your love story naturally — no rigid checklists, just real moments as they unfold. That said, I absolutely love knowing what's meaningful to you! If there's something close to your heart — Grandma's heirloom locket, a special handshake, a detail that tells your story — tell me and I will make sure it's honored. For family portraits and sentimental details, feel free to share any specific requests. The more I know about what matters to you, the more intentional I can be about preserving it.
100%! I believe photos and video should complement — not compete — and I take that seriously. I coordinate seamlessly with your videography team so both mediums work together to tell your story beautifully. No turf wars, no awkward overlaps — just two artists working in harmony to make sure every moment is captured from every angle. If you haven't booked a videographer yet and need a recommendation, I'm happy to point you toward talented professionals I trust and love working alongside.
Nobody loves standing around waiting for family photos — and I completely agree! That's why I work with you beforehand to create a fast, efficient family portrait list so we get all the must-haves done smoothly and quickly, without missing the fun happening around you. A little planning goes a long way. When you know who needs to be in which groupings ahead of time and have someone designated to round up family members, we can breeze through portraits and get back to celebrating. Beautiful and efficient — it really is possible!
Some of the best photos happen in the unplanned, in-between moments — a whispered word, a grandmother's happy tears, the way you look at each other when you think no one is watching. I'm always anticipating these little moments so I can document them in an artistic yet completely unobtrusive way. I move quietly, I stay present, and I never interrupt what's real to manufacture something posed. My goal is that when you look back at your images, you don't just see how everything looked — you relive exactly how it felt.
Absolutely! Engagement sessions are one of my favorite things to offer — and honestly, they're about so much more than pretty pictures. They give us a chance to get to know each other before your wedding day, so by the time you walk down the aisle, working with me feels completely natural. You'll feel relaxed and confident in front of the camera, and I'll already know how you move, laugh, and love together. Plus, your engagement images make beautiful save-the-dates, guest books, and wall art to celebrate this special chapter. I highly recommend them!
I love incorporating personal touches — because your photos should feel like you, not like everyone else's. A sentimental location, a meaningful detail, a special outfit, a beloved pet, a hobby you share — all of it is fair game. If you have ideas, bring them! I genuinely love hearing what makes your relationship uniquely yours. And if you're not sure where to start, I'm happy to ask the right questions and suggest creative ways to make your session feel completely personal. The more of you that shows up, the more magical the images will be.
Your full gallery is delivered within 6 to 8 weeks — and I do my best to get them to you sooner whenever possible. I want you to know that every single image is personally edited by me, one at a time. I don't use AI culling or batch editing shortcuts. Your photos deserve real eyes, real care, and real intention at every step. Your story took a lifetime to build — it deserves more than an assembly line. Trust me, it'll be worth the wait.
Every session and wedding is unique, but you can typically expect around 40 to 60 fully edited images per hour of coverage. I carefully curate each gallery to include only the best moments — the ones that truly tell your story — rather than overwhelming you with hundreds of similar shots. Quality over quantity, always. Every image you receive has been personally edited by me with care and intention. As for turnaround, you can expect your full gallery within 6 to 8 weeks, though I'm always working hard to get them to you sooner.
Yes! Your gallery is delivered through Pic-Time, where you can order so much more than most photographers offer — fine art prints, canvases, matted frames, metal prints, custom albums, calendars, ornaments, greeting cards, and more, all from professional labs and shipped right to your door. But my highest recommendation? A beautiful piece of wall art. Something your children and grandchildren will pass by every single day and know exactly where their story began — and how deeply loved you were. That love didn't stop at the wedding. It only grew. Let's make sure it lives on your walls.
Your gallery is delivered through Pic-Time, making it easy to download and share your images with family and friends. When sharing on social media, I'd love it if you'd tag me — it means the world and helps other couples find me! I absolutely love when clients come back — and so many do! Your story doesn't end after "I do," and I would be truly honored to document every chapter that follows. Anniversary sessions, maternity, newborns, family portraits, milestone moments — I am here for all of it. Returning clients hold a special place in my heart because I already know you, I already love you, and I can't wait to see where life has taken you. Just reach out at https://tinyurl.com/GMB-Photography-Inquiry and let's start planning your next chapter together!
For weddings, I always recommend a second photographer — and here's why. We bring two completely different perspectives to your day. I follow you, capturing your reactions, details, and emotions as they unfold. My second shooter follows your partner, getting those irreplaceable faces during first looks and the moment they see you in your dress for the very first time. Your wedding day will go by in a beautiful blur. The posed portraits are wonderful for remembering how everything looked — but it's the candids that capture how it all FELT. The more memories we capture together, the better.
I'm a documentary-style photographer at heart — meaning I blend into your day and let moments unfold naturally. No stiff poses, no forced smiles. Just real, in-between moments captured with a light, timeless aesthetic. I believe the most powerful images aren't the ones where everyone is perfectly arranged — they're the ones where someone is laughing so hard they're crying, or sneaking a glance when they think no one is watching. My goal is that when you look at your images thirty years from now, they don't just show you how everything looked. They take you right back to exactly how it felt.
