The Barns at Wolf Trap Renovation

We are planning a very exciting project beginning August 2026 through November 2026. The Barns will be unavailable during this time. The Pavilions will not be affected by this project.

Built from two restored 18th-century barns, the venue exudes rustic elegance and a touch of history. With its rustic wooden façade and charming atmosphere, the venue provides a unique and memorable backdrop for weddings, receptions, rehearsal dinners, and cocktail parties. Ovations Pavilion

Tucked away within Wolf Trap National Park, the Ovations Pavilion is the ideal destination for your wedding.

The Ovations Pavilion is one of Wolf Trap's larger spaces. It can hold 250 people seated with a dance floor, or up to 400 person cocktail reception. The space has ample power for a DJ or band, a large catering kitchen with optional built-in bar, multiple ceiling fans, and weather screens for protection against rain or sun. The Ovations Pavilion also offers a beautiful view of the meadow and the woods beyond. Due to our summer performances, Ovations is unavailable between mid-May and September.

Associates Pavilion

The Associates Deck is a versatile outdoor event space offering stunning views of the lower meadow and the world-renowned Filene Center. Located just a short drive from Tysons Corner and Washington, D.C., this 4,800 square foot tented deck provides a spacious and comfortable setting for your event. Equipped with ceiling fans and handicap accessibility, the Associates Deck is perfect for gatherings of all size. Due to our summer shows, Associates is unavailable between mid-May and September.

Also located within the beautiful National Park, the Terrace Pavilion is ideal for a wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, or modest reception. This 3,890 square foot wooden deck offers a beautiful and functional setting for your event. Due to our summer performances, the Terrace Pavilion is unavailable between mid-May and late September.

German Barn

All bar and beverage services must be provided by Wolf Trap. We offer a variety of packages to suit different needs and budgets. No outside liquor is permitted.

All events that take place in Wolf Trap Foundation’s spaces require catering partners from our robust Approved Vendors List, a variety of caterers to suit every need and budget. Clients benefit from working with caterers who have a thorough knowledge and care for the Foundation’s facilities, rules, and regulations. Clients are not permitted to bring their own food, beverage, or alcohol.

With the exception of catering and beverage services (as noted above), you may work with any vendor you choose. We ask that third party vendors schedule a site visit at least 2 weeks prior to the event to review facility rules and regulations. We require a Certificate of Insurance from all third party vendors. They may also be covered under a company’s insurance policy or event insurance.

A facility may be held for up to 2 weeks and holds must be requested in writing. However, if a facility is on hold and another inquiry is received, you will then have up to 3 business days to confirm your booking. To secure a space, you must sign a rental agreement and return it with a 50% deposit.

Facility rentals include 8 hours, including setup and breakdown. Events longer in duration, or requiring additional setup and breakdown time, are subject to an increased rental fee.

Rental fees include the use of the facility, an onsite event host, complimentary parking, Wi-Fi, audio support, and onsite kitchen access for caterers. The Barns and the Center for Education also include access to various sized on-site tables and chairs.

Load-in may not start prior to 7 AM, and all events must conclude by 11 PM (not including load-out time). Events at Wolf Trap National Park are permitted year-round. On performance days, events must conclude 4 hours before performance start time, unless booked in association with a ticketed summer performance.

Absolutely. As with other third party vendors, all entertainment vendors—bands, DJs, musicians—must have a Certificate of Insurance. They may also be covered under a company’s insurance policy or your event insurance. We require that entertainers and musicians provide all of their own sound equipment, including events occurring in The Barns. Third party vendors must follow Wolf Trap’s facility rules and regulations.

Rentals include complimentary parking and there are ample spots available in each location.

The stage was built only for presenting performances. It is not available for event rentals.

Be sure to specify your facility’s exact name and address on all invitations and promotional materials. The Barns at Wolf Trap is a single, versatile building that includes the German Barn, Scottish Barn, Atrium, and Lobby. Our facility rental fee covers access to the entire building. For a more intimate experience, you can rent the Scottish Barn, Atrium, and Lobby without the German Barn for a reduced rate, only available Sunday through Thursday.
