About Looms to Rooms

Looms to Rooms

Looms to Rooms is a Brooklyn, NY based home goods brand. We partner with artisans and social enterprises around the world to curate handmade, ethically sourced, and fully traceable products. Every piece in our collection is handmade; no two are exactly alike. They are the fingerprints of the maker, and one of a kind. Our vision is to redefine luxury as a moral choice, a world where every purchase empowers a community, the "conscious consumer" is the standard, and handmade goods are valued as a cornerstone of a sustainable global economy.

A Registry That Gives Back! Your wedding registry can be a values statement. Each piece we offer is handmade, traceable, and ethically sourced, crafted by skilled artisans, Fair Trade-certified partners worldwide. No two pieces are alike. 20% of our profits go directly back to the artisans who made your gifts. Your guests aren't just giving a gift, they're funding a maker's livelihood and community. Our Kantha blankets are made from recycled sari cloth by women who've survived trafficking. Our throws and tableware are made from 100% organic cotton. Every purchase tells a story worth telling. Start your home with purpose.

Timeless Piece

Description

These scarves celebrate the finest traditions of textile artistry. Made from premium Rajshahi silks, including mulberry, endi, and motka, each is dyed with "true indigo" from Indigofera tinctoria, native to the northwest regions of South Asia, producing an unmatched depth of color. Japanese shibori techniques nui, arashi, and kheta-ori create waves, ripples, and dimensions unique to every piece. Entirely handmade and naturally dyed, no two are alike. Each scarf is wearable art.

Chunky Throw

Description

For centuries, South Asian women have carefully sewn time-softened saris into beautiful, functional items, and our knitted sari pieces add a new twist to traditional techniques. Our designers have applied a stylish, relaxed look to this range, stitching contrasting saris into strips and knitting them together. Knitted items take around twelve to forty-eight hours (depending on the size) for an artisan to complete.

What’s included
  • One 62.2x 80.3 inch throw
  • Custom gift wrapped for the newly weds
