From DJing college house parties to packed clubs to music festivals, I've experienced the thrills of creating EPIC events through music. Weddings should be no different, but it requires a personal touch that brings out the stylistic uniqueness of each couple. I still remember having my own epic wedding dance party with my friends & family 10 years ago, and my goal is to give our couples the same! Remixologists is our team of talented like-minded DJs who share the client-focus & music versatility that I believe make the difference between having a good wedding and an AMAZING ONE for the ages!

    Great Music, Great Energy

    Simon and his team were great to work with throughout the planning process and on our wedding day. He made the DJ portion of planning easy and stress-free, and the music was a huge hit with our guests. He knows how to get people on the dance floor, and we received so many compliments about the music throughout the night. We highly recommend Simon and his team!

    Incredible DJ Service! - Must book!

    DJ Lee was incredible!!! Look no further you NEED to book Remixologists for your event. I spent hours reading reviews and vetting different vendors and Remixologists was honestly the best choice I made for my wedding reception! Specifically DJ Lee was AMAZING. He was super organized from the get go which was so helpful leading up to the wedding day. I had a fusion wedding and he seamlessly worked in Indian songs into the hiphop/pop/80s music that kept everyone on the dance floor all night! DJ Lee was also a great emcee and created the perfect mix of music and energy to get people of all ages out of their seats. I can't recommend Remixologists enough!! Thank you for making our night unforgettable!

    Don't waste time reading reviews, book this DJ now

    The Party Can't Stop Won't Stop! I need to think of an excuse to gather friends and family together just so that I can have DJ Taiga spin again. Simon was incredibly responsive from the get go and organized – he had a special spreadsheet and website to organize the various aspects of the day and when/if music will be needed). And that’s just who he is from a business standpoint. In terms of his abilities as a DJ, let’s just say the dance floor was packed all night and people were disappointed the night had to end. He even got my dad to dance; it was literally the first time in my life I’ve seen my dad dance. SIMON’S THAT GOOD. I gave him a list of songs/genres and he took those inspirations to create a dance mix that was, as the youths call it, LIT AF.

    The DJ you need to book!

    I highly recommend the Remixologists for your wedding. Having just had ours a few weeks ago, I can offer the advice that you want to make sure you choose a good DJ for your wedding. You want to make sure you have a DJ who is organized, client oriented, good at communicating, timely with responding to questions and also has great taste in music. We were in great hands with Simon. He is extremely organized and made sure that all the sound equipment was set up perfectly, all the ceremony music was executed flawlessly and that the music kept everyone going! He did a great job incorporating some of our favorite artists into the wedding music and I really appreciated how he helped to create special cuts of songs to fit the timing of our ceremony and special dances. Our friends and family danced until 11PM after the temperatures had dropped to 48 degrees for our outdoor wedding.

Because you want a seasoned DJ who’s spun for crowds from 50 to 5000, ages 10 to 100, who’s spun many weddings and understands the intricacies and nuances, and who’s goal is to create a soundtrack that throughout the day or night will make you smile, laugh, cry (in a good way!), and DANCE YOUR SOCKS OFF!
We can comfortably cover music from the last 70 years from soul to funk to disco to rock, swing, ballroom, 80s, 90s, pop, hip hop, reggae, R&B, electro, top 40 to international flavors like bhangra/bollywood, kpop, & folk music from various locales (Ukrainian, Croatian, Jewish to name a few.)
For cocktail hour & dinner music we usually opt for the soothing sounds of big band, doo wop, jazz, R&B, soul, and soft rock, but all of this is customizable to your tastes. In any case, we’re able to mix it all together seamlessly and chart the course for an amazing day or night: from a classy ambiance at dinner to a smashing dance party to cap things off!
Of course! We can eloquently make all announcements and introductions during your event. Our style errs on the side of subtlety, but that’s to keep the focus on you!
Absolutely! Your wedding is mighty important and we encourage prospective clients to meet with us (in person or via phone/skype) to get to know us and what we do.
We primarily serve the New York, Philadelphia, Washington DC regions and all surrounding areas (Connecticut, New Jersey, Maryland, Virginia, etc), but love to travel and are available for destination/north/south/midwest/west coast weddings.
We believe in quality products and use only the best sounding & most reliable equipment around. Our standard packages feature full-range QSC K-series & ElectroVoice (EV) loudspeakers, Technics 1200/Pioneer CDJ turntables, Pioneer Professional Grade DJ Controllers, Rane & Pioneer mixers, and Shure SM58 cordless microphones.
We have an extensive inventory of sound equipment and can provide small, compact loudpseakers, along with additional cordless microphones for your wedding ceremony and/or cocktail hour.
Yes, The Remixologists have full liability insurance and can provide proof to venues when necessary.
Remixologists consists of 7 talented DJs with an extensive inventory of equipment, so there’s always a backup plan.
We generally arrive in a dark tailored suit, but can adapt to the dress code that best fits your event.
We certainly can! We encourage our clients to make both a “request list” AND a “DO NOT PLAY list”. We get a good sense of what the clients’ likes/dislikes are and use that to customize a soundtrack that reflects their uniqueness. And for day of requests, we defer to your preference whether it’s ‘Yes’, ‘No’, or ‘Yes, but NOT from uncle Charlie’.
It’s totally up to you! We can keep it clean as a whistle, dirty like a college dorm bathroom, or somewhere in between.
