What dietary accommodations are available?

We specialize in allergen-friendly baking and can provide a variety of options for you and your guests including: Gluten-free Egg-free Dairy-free Soy-free Vegan Refined sugar free Organic Please note, however, that Hanami Cake Design is NOT an allergen-free bakery. While everything humanely possible is done to reduce the risk of cross contamination, work surfaces and equipment are shared between allergen-containing and non-allergen ingredients and as such, the risk remains.

Do you offer custom designs?

Hanami Cake Design specializes in truly unique and one-of-a-kind cakes, from the inside out! :D We love working with our couples to come up with custom flavors for their celebration: flavors that are updated childhood favorites, pull from cultural backgrounds to combine in new ways, or luxurious twists on classics! Our designs are inspired by nature, art, architecture, and the stories our couples! We love to play with textures, tier shapes, and small details that personalize your cake to you and you alone!

Does your price include tastings?

Tastings are a separate cost. Every tasting that is made for our couples is completely custom, and no two are alike! We can spend anywhere from 2 to 6 hours per tasting getting everything just right! :D

How do I know what size to order?

Accepted Answer

That's all on me so you don't have to worry about it at all!! :D Cakes come in all shapes and sizes and ultimately come down to two things: your guest count and your design! During our consultation, we'll go over if you need your cake to serve everyone (or not!) and if you have preferences for number of tiers, tall cakes, shorter cakes, modern silhouettes, classic cakes, etc. and then I'll take it from there! :D

Does your price include delivery?

Hanami Cake Design delivers everywhere (including down to NYC if needed!) so delivery is a separate cost, and just depends upon location.

Do you offer cake alternatives?

Accepted Answer

Of course! Your wedding is, of all days, when you get to be as selfish as you like, and embody all that Treat Yo Self Energy as you like! If you don't like cake? Not a problem at all! I've done weddings where pies were the focus, with just arrays of dazzling desserts, of all macarons; this is YOUR wedding and you get to make all the decisions! :D

When should we get in touch?

As soon as possible! Dates are first come first serve and availability (especially in the fall!) can fill up quick. 6 to 9 months is recommended, but there's nothing wrong with earlier than that! While I don't recommend reaching out within 3 months, we have been known to work miracles! :)
