We're Nate and Emma, a husband-and-wife wedding photography and videography team based in North Carolina. We specialize in candid, documentary-style photography and videography and capture weddings all over the East Coast. Our approach to wedding photography and videography is simple: we’re not here to turn your wedding into a photoshoot. Instead, we document the day as it naturally unfolds, unobtrusively and authentically. The result? Images and films that reflect who you are as a couple and capture your wedding exactly as it happened.

We're inspired by the classic look and feel of film. We’ll capture your day using a combination of digital and film cameras, develop and scan your film, and edit all of your photos so that they flow seamlessly together. The result is a gallery that looks vibrant, yet classic, and stands the test of time. Our wedding videos are crafted with the same philosophy as our photography—rooted in authenticity and guided by a documentary style. We capture the natural rhythm of the day unobtrusively, creating films that feel as real as the moments themselves.

Amazing team and beautiful memories
From our first conversation with Indie Bird Photo, Nate and Emma made us feel at ease with their friendly and prompt communication. They responded to every question thoroughly and with genuine kindness, which set the tone for an incredible experience. On our wedding day, Emma's calming presence helped us relax and be ourselves, while Nate's eye for detail captured moments exactly as we remembered them. Their work is absolutely beautiful and every shot feels like a work of art. It's clear they are true artists who care deeply about their craft. The quality of their photos is worth every penny, and we couldn't have asked for better photographers to document our special day. They worked with our budget and helped pull together a custom package that was perfect for our big day! We can't thank Nat and Emma enough!

Amazing

Stunning photos!
We are so glad we chose Nate and Emma for our wedding photos. The photos are absolutely stunning and captured the bright, joyful tone of the day while being classic photos well cherish forever. They also were so easy and sweet when working with them from intro calls and engagement sessions to the big day itself. They helped us feel at ease and didn’t overtake the whole day - made sure to have portraits taken, but also stayed through our reception to capture a lot of moments and range of candids throughout the day. GREATEST OF ALL TIME
Indie Bird Photo is the greatest of all time- I cannot recommend them highly enough! Above all else, Nate and Emma are both genuinely great people who are an absolute joy to be around on your wedding day (and otherwise.) They photographed our engagement session, our wedding, and even joined us for our rehearsal dinner- and each time, it felt like working with our friends. Most importantly, their professionalism and attention to detail are unmatched. They are both extremely talented, experienced, and they captured our wedding in the most beautifully authentic way. They brought my dream of candid/documentary style/old school film/black and white photos to life with such ease. Nate sent us a sneak peak gallery within 24 hours of our wedding- which legitimately moved me to tears. I was blown away by the way that Nate and Emma shared all of our joy and excitement and documented it all in the most beautifully artistic photos. It was so meaningful to be able to see (and share!) our photos that quickly. Our families/friends/other vendors/my coworkers, etc. cannot stop gushing about how beautiful the photos are- and we've only seen a few! Our wedding day would not have been the same without them, and I cannot thank them enough.
