Jazz & The City Band brings authentic New York jazz to weddings and celebrations throughout NYC and beyond. Our musicians are dedicated jazz artists who regularly perform at renowned NYC jazz clubs and alongside respected artists on the city’s jazz scene. From intimate duos and trios to larger ensembles, we tailor the music and lineup to your celebration, with piano, upright bass, drums, guitar, saxophone, trumpet, and vocals available. We’re jazz artists first. Jazz isn’t one of many styles we offer — it’s the music we’ve dedicated our lives to. Our musicians are part of New York’s vibrant jazz scene, regularly performing at renowned clubs and alongside respected artists. They Made the Night!
Absolutely loved having them at the wedding! They brought such a fun, beautiful energy to the whole celebration. The music was amazing, they were so professional and easy to work with, and they made the night feel even more special. Highly recommend them for any wedding or special event!

From our first conversation, Jazz and the City Band showed us they understood exactly what we wanted for our wedding. What really sets them apart is that these are serious jazz musicians with real careers in the music world—not just a cover band playing weddings. They brought genuine artistry to our reception, and their elegant arrangements kept our guests engaged the entire night. The band was flexible with our requests, kind in all their interactions, and fair with pricing throughout the planning process. We felt like we hired real talent, and our guests kept telling us it was the best live music they'd ever heard at a wedding. Highly recommend them if you want an actual jazz experience.

I hired Dan and his jazz trio for a private event, and they were phenomenal! Their professionalism was top-notch! They arrived on time, communication was seamless, and they were incredibly polite. They even nailed a couple of special song requests, performing them better than we ever expected. The music itself was amazing. They are exceptionally talented musicians who brought a tight, elegant, and perfect vibe to the room. If you want a world-class jazz trio that is as wonderful to work with as they are to listen to, I highly recommend them!

Dan & his team are incredible to work with! We’ve hired this band on several occasions, and every time not only do they deliver top notch performances, but they are so extremely professional — always on-time, respectful & super communicative making sure that everything is satisfactory. There’s a whole lot of talent in this group, and working with them is such a breeze. Can’t recommend enough!
