I’m Marcel, a cellist and founder of Velveteen Ensemble | Curated by Marcel. Since 2014, I’ve hand-selected musicians to create unforgettable wedding moments. I believe live music transforms a ceremony or cocktail hour into something more meaningful than words — it’s about amplifying emotion and making memories that last a lifetime.

Unlike agencies that simply book whoever is available, every performance is personally curated by me. As a professional cellist with over a decade of experience, I’ve led more than 1,000 weddings and events where every detail was planned with care.     Marcel and his quartet performed at my wedding ceremony and for our first dance. They were remarkable. Their playing was the perfect touch to personalize the feel of our wedding, and remains a fond memory to this day. The synchrony of the cello notes to the my first dance that my husband and I choreographed is something that people still talk about to this day.
