This is a unique skill that you'll cherish from your vendors! On top of being an absolute pleasure to work with, she and her team are true artists. I ambitiously asked for live moss to be installed on columns in the reception space and she delivered. All of my guests were floored. I can't think about it without wanting to cry! Moss aside, Anika and her team push boundaries across everything they do. From the bouquet and boutonniere, to the ceremony arch, it's clear that she has a distinct understanding of structure and design. The table scapes were also visionary, designed from moss platforms with anthuriums, garlic, and beech mushrooms–the latter coming as a complete surprise. She listened to our budget concerns, suggested reasonable and beautiful alternatives when necessary, and delivered unbelievable work. Can't recommend Marigolds Florals enough. Total professionals and artists. Seriously. Book them!”

“Vivian is absolutely amazing - I had so many scattered ideas, but Vivian was able to expertly bring all my thoughts to life. From the first call I knew Vivian would do everything to absolute perfection. I’ve seen her work, especially with hanging greenery and immediately knew I needed her for my wedding. I wanted hanging drapes which Vivian kindly and transparently explained she hadn’t done before, but just speaking to her, I knew she would be able to get it done - AND SHE HAD IT DONE BEAUTIFULLY. The guests could not stop telling us about how beautiful the florals were, and the sweetheart table is absolutely gorgeous. The way Vivian is able to imagine and transform the space is so special. I provided her with some photos of what I was looking for and she created this amazing mock-up to help me picture what the space would look like. She’s so helpful in terms of working with your budget, and undoubtedly made me feel so comfortable being able to bounce ideas back and forth. I also really appreciate the way she was able to repurpose items and bouquets from the ceremony. “Because of all the florals already there due to the nature of the venue, and all the florals and plants they filled in, I didn’t feel the need to have a ton of florals, so I did them myself! I found Flower Moxie here on Zola and they were so great! If you are thinking about DIY’ing your florals, I would definitely recommend looking into Flower Moxie! They have some set packages you can chose from, but I upgraded to the highest personalized package and it was so worth it. I got to have a phone call with the florist and they put together a custom package, and they definitely killed it, the flowers were exactly what I had in mind. There were so many resources and they went through everything so well I felt so prepared and we had almost no issues putting all the florals together. All of our florals still looked fresh and beautiful on our wedding day, and some of the florals in our arch arrangements lasted WEEKS. A word of caution though: it is definitely a lot of work, so just ensure that you have enough time in town before your wedding (i.e. you can’t fly in the day before your ceremony, if you are traveling to that location) and enough people to help you (for putting together, transporting and anything day of). I actually really enjoyed getting to do my florals myself, and would highly recommend if you are creative and DIYing your wedding!”

“The flowers (on our order) came in large boxes, but they were not labeled, so it took a minute to get the flowers both identified and properly set up. To be fair we were warned about the process, but not about the length of time due to our inexperience. As a note, it took my fiancé 5 hours to process the flowers when first receiving them. I also did not have any updates from them from the time I ordered till they were being shipped. They were beyond more affordable compared to other florists, and the flowers arrived alive and in good spirits. We were able to keep the flowers alive for over four days!! Many of the flowers that we chose did not have specific instructions, so we had to follow the general reference for the flowers and hope for the best. Additionally, some of the flowers that we wanted were not in stock, and they were replaced for us with substitutes but were not notified until we had all of the flowers already delivered to us. Also, as a note, bloom culture uses third party sellers for their flowers, so the quality may vary depending on location. Our flowers were in good condition, and the company we had clearly took good care of the flowers prior to delivering them to us. Would we do it again? Probably not, but it made for good laughs and bonding time and we have stories to tell from it!”

Established in 2012, Edelweiss Floral Atelier found its home in the heart of Cobble Hill, Brooklyn. Over the past decade, we have designed weddings across Brooklyn, Manhattan, Long Island, and beyond.

“Edelweiss was my local florist for over a decade and I was constantly amazed by their creativity, the wild range of incredible flowers, and impressive execution. So many important arrangements from my relationship came from them (with prompts like "creepy romance" and "over the top purple") so when we started planning our wedding, my partner and I dreamed of keeping that connection with Edelweiss. The reality that Eka and her brilliant team delivered was beyond our wildest hopes. Every element of the experience was magical and they completely understood and elevated our vision, bringing a lush, bright and unusual tropical flair to our "Caribbean hunting lodge" nuptials. I nearly cried when I saw my gigantic gorgeous bouquet, and all of the boutonnieres and incredible hairpieces they created were so unique. My guests fought over the centerpieces and as it snowed after our wedding day I got countless amazing photos of the bright blooms carrying the celebration forward. Edelweiss worked with our budget and delivered a transformative array of amazing floral pieces including a magnificent birch chuppah covered with fuchsia orchids, monstera leaves, anemones, you name it. I never thought of myself as a flower guy, and figured it could be a place for savings at our wedding - Edelweiss was the most incredible investment and went above and beyond to make the most elaborate, colorful decor that was truly unforgettable.”

I handed Sumeet a bunch of flowers and material and asked him to create some. it was gorgeous! So beautiful that I even moved it from the ceremony to the reception so that we could continue to look at it and take pictures with it part! Hi there! I’m Karina, an architect turned floral designer dabbling in all things daisies and more! My enthusiasm for floristry began in Brooklyn as a way to express my love for nature and design, but mostly so I could bring color, life, and beauty into my apartment on, you guessed it, Dean Street! Now, Dean Street Daisies has blossomed into a full-service floral and event design studio on the Hudson River in Irvington, NY where I live and create in a converted chapel with my husband and two cats!

“If I could do my wedding all over again, I would just so that I can re-live how amazing my flowers were at my wedding!!! I was introduced to Karina from Dean Street Daisies by a colleague at work after I mentioned to him how anxious I was about my flowers for the wedding. I emailed Karina, and in less than 24 hours she scheduled a consultation meeting with me and had been nothing but a delight to work with since then. We bonded on the fact that we are both architects, so I knew how responsible, detail oriented, and design focused she would be. I was not too sure what I wanted in the beginning, so during our consultation, she helped guide me through specific questions about my vision, what colors I'm attracted to, what type of flowers I typically like, etc. Her consultation helped me do a more thorough research, so after I sent her a general moodboard, Karina quickly built and shared with me a design presentation along with a detailed cost analysis that was perfectly within my budget. Karina was honest and upfront from the beginning about how much things would cost, and helped me find the right balance of number of arrangements/ types of flowers that would be around my budget and still fit my vision. And let me tell you... I went from not prioritizing flowers on my wedding day, to the flowers becoming the most important feature of the day! They were absolutely MAGICAL. Everyone was raving about them, and two months later, I still go through all my pictures and daydream about how beautiful my arrangements and bouquets were. If I could give 10 stars for Karina's artistry, professionalism, and commitment to her important role in my wedding I would. Thank you again!!”

Our flowers fit our vibe perfectly: I wanted something to pull from the venue's brick, but not look too "autumny" for our January wedding, and they nailed it! They look and feel like "regular" flowers, but they'll last forever and have so far held up perfectly!
