Spruce Mountain Ranch was perfect for our 9/21/24 wedding! The staff was incredible during the planning and execution of our day! Brus Osborne was amazing to work with from our initial tour in 2022 all the way through our wedding day. Emily Wanderscheid was awesome the day of our event, so kind and helpful! The venue is so beautiful, most of our guests were from out of state and loved the venue. My husband and I truly had the best day of our lives and we are forever thankful for choosing and trusting Spruce Mountain Ranch with the most important day of our lives! I feel so blessed and grateful to have found Brookledge for my wedding day. Helen, Brooke, and the rest of the Brookledge team are simply the best. We chose Brookledge after a FaceTime call with Helen. We live 5 hours away and wanted to make a decision. After speaking with Helen, we just knew that this was the place. We were so supposed through the planning stage. They recommended excellent vendors. Our guests loved the food! We chose the wedding weekend option where you could stay Friday to Sunday and had friends and family members stay on the property as well. My husband and I decided to add on Thursday night, and I would definitely recommend if you are traveling to Brookledge! Being the space early was so helpful. Brookledge really is a gem and if you have the opportunity to get married there, do it! You won’t regret it.

The Blue Elk Inn is a gorgeous hotel just off Main Street at the end of a cul-de-sac. This made it very quiet and peaceful for being only 10 minute walk from the main downtown part of Leavenworth. The grounds are well maintained and there where landscapers out every day before my wedding ensuring there where no weeds and the flowers where in the perfect bloom. The hotel staff were all extremely helpful the 3 days prior and the day of my wedding. There is plenty of space for all the guests and with it being a hotel we did not have to worry about people leaving the property after celebrating. The yard has an amazing selection of wild flowers native to the Leavenworth area making the yard area need almost no decorations. There is ample power outlets all around the yard to allow for extra lighting if needed. My wedding was in the spring and the weather was perfect but with the large old maple tree and pine trees in the back yard there is no shortage of shade. The event team the blue elk inn is partnered with made the day run smooth too. Over all everyone was happy and excited to help us giving recommendations on things for our guests to do around the area along with helping my wife and I plan the greatest day of our life. Also shout out Kyra the hotel manager she was awesome making sure my wife and I where all set. She ensured my wife and I had everything we needed. She would check in about once a month from the day we booked until the mont of our wedding and she checked in with us again twice the month of our wedding. Also she answered almost every question we had and if she didn’t know she got back to us quickly when she found out the answer. Over all highly recommend the Blue Elk Inn for your wedding

We require a buyout of our amazing vintage campers, along with a venue fee.

If I could give The Trillium Venue more than 5 stars, I absolutely would. I always dreamed of getting married at a mountain venue, and from the moment I found The Trillium, I knew it was the one. It was actually the only venue we looked at—we booked site unseen and didn’t even visit until a couple months later, but somehow we just knew. From start to finish, Sydney and the entire team were incredible. Everyone was so friendly, responsive, and helpful every step of the way. They answered all of my questions, provided amazing vendor recommendations, and had beautiful rental options that made planning so much easier. The cabins right across from the venue were perfect and made everything so convenient for us and our guests. The getting-ready spaces were gorgeous, spacious, and such a fun place to spend the morning getting ready. The entire property is stunning and so well-maintained. All night long, our guests kept commenting on how beautiful the venue was and saying it was one of the best weddings they had ever been to. Choosing The Trillium was one of the best decisions we made, and I wish we could relive that day there all over again. Highly recommend to any couple dreaming of a beautiful mountain wedding.

Wilson, WY

  • Starts at $15,000

The Bentwood Inn is a charming bed and breakfast-wedding venue located within the Greater Yellowstone area of Jackson, Wyoming. This eco-friendly establishment seeks to minimize its impact on its natural surroundings. The Inn itself was built using reclaimed wood from Yellowstone National Park’s great fire of 1988. Here, couples can stage their dream day surrounded by natural beauty, attentive staff, and an array of amenities.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Rustic yet refined style

Venue considerations

  • No in-house lighting and sound packages available
TL;DR: The Bentwood Inn is a truly special place to get married—a 1000/10 experience, and one we’ll treasure forever. The longer version: We knew we wanted an intimate, destination-style wedding, and after visiting the Bentwood Inn for the first time this past summer, it just felt right. Nestled beneath the Tetons, the property offers a quiet, peaceful escape while still being close to everything that makes Jackson Hole so incredible. We planned our wedding in under three months while living in another state, which sounds a little wild in hindsight. But thanks to the Bentwood team, the entire process felt surprisingly calm and manageable. Looking back, we truly couldn’t be happier with how the day—and the full experience—went. We reserved the entire inn for three nights for a small wedding with less than 30 guests, with everyone staying on-site. Having everyone together in one place was one of the most meaningful parts of our weekend. Instead of everything feeling rushed, we were able to spend quality time with our closest family and friends—sharing meals, catching up, and exploring the beauty of Jackson Hole together. For a December wedding, we were incredibly lucky with the weather: sunny skies and temperatures in the 40s. We spent nights around the fire pit and stargazing, as our weekend coincided with the Geminids meteor shower. We stayed in the Grand Suite, which we can’t recommend enough for couples. It’s spacious, cozy, and thoughtfully designed, with a large living area and full kitchen that made getting ready on the wedding day easy. It was the perfect home base for such an important weekend. I (the bride) got ready in the Grand Suite, while my fiancé (now husband) stayed in the Chalet on our wedding day. The Chalet is just off the back lawn and was the perfect way to keep us separate while still feeling close, adding an extra layer of excitement and intention to the day. On the wedding day itself, the Bentwood crew handled everything with such care and ease that we were able to be fully present and enjoy every moment. One thing we really appreciated was how much inventory and décor the venue already has on hand—tables, chairs, place settings, and more—which removed so much extra coordination and stress. At the same time, there’s plenty of flexibility to add your own personal touches. We used mostly Bentwood’s décor, with a few meaningful additions of our own, and everything came together beautifully. We held our ceremony on the back deck, followed by appetizers and dinner in the great room, all prepared and served in-house. The food was outstanding and the chef and staff exceeded our expectations. Since the weather stayed mild, we did our first dances out on the deck, followed by a little line dancing under the stars. We opted to create our own playlists and use the Bentwood’s sound system instead of hiring a DJ, which gave the evening a personal, relaxed feel that we loved. More than anything, what sets the Bentwood Inn apart is the people. The team is exceptional—kind, attentive, and genuinely invested in making the experience meaningful. They treated us and our guests like family, and that level of care was felt throughout the entire weekend. We already know we’ll be coming back to this magical place for years to come! The Bentwood Inn isn’t just where we got married—it’s a place that will always hold a very special piece of our hearts.

The Blue Bear Inn was the perfect wedding venue for us! We knew we wanted a venue that allowed dogs, was close to an airport (1 hr) for family traveling, had excellent food, offered beautiful scenery, could house our out-of-town guests, was mostly a one stop shop (with lodging, wedding venue, ceremony site options, day-of-coordination, catering, & cake/desserts), and provided historical romance vibes without being a barn — and the Blue Bear checked every box and then some! Carrie, Bob, and the team gave us such a special wedding weekend in May - they didn't plan the most perfect rainbow, but I know they would’ve if they could!

The space was absolutely perfect for our small wedding (40 people) and larger celebration (approximately 150 people open house style). We loved the intimate ceremony feel, ability to get ready onsite, how quickly we could change the space from a ceremony layout to being able to welcome additional guests, and loved having the space for our full celebration weekend. Our out of town family members were even able to stay there with the 4 lower level bedrooms! There was plenty of parking, and both the venue and outdoor space made for beautiful pictures (lighting was wonderful!) I would definitely recommend this space to anyone looking for a similar experience - definitely one of a kind in Sioux Falls!

The Lofton team was so wonderful! We had a little hiccup before the wedding day with my dad not wanting to a dance, so they arranged it so we can have a private dance. I needed help with all the walking due to a disability and they let us use their golf cart no problem. The venue is so beautiful! Everyone at the wedding couldn't stop talking about how beautiful it was!! The food and cake were so delicious!! We loved our photographer Danielle! She was the sweetest! The photos felt natural and not forced at all! We had a wonderful day thanks to The Lofton!

Just had our wedding at Black Walnut Farm in July 2026 -- it was the most joyous, happy, love filled weekend of our lives and so much of that is thanks to Sarah, Jim, our amazing coordinator Lindsey who works with the venue, Ariel, Travis, and the whole team at BWF. We had two days of events and everything went seamlessly, every detail was perfect and decorated gorgeously and with so much love and care. They paid so much attention to our vision -- even updating their late night espresso martini offering to chai espresso martinis for us! We can't imagine doing this anywhere else -- could not recommend Black Walnut Farm enough for anyone seeking a dreamy, unique wedding venue and wanting to work with an expert, compassionate, amazing team.

Mountain Shadows Retreat (The Anti-Venue) has been an absolute dream to work with for our wedding! From the moment we reached out, their team was incredibly responsive, friendly, and easy to talk to. Unlike any other venue I've been to, the Mountain Shadows team went above and beyond to ensure our special day will be perfect. We get married in 2025 and they are very flexible with us visiting the venue beforehand to ensure we were ready to go by wedding day. The team is a true pleasure to work with, and we can't wait to celebrate our marriage at this one-of-a-kind venue next year. Highly recommend to any couple looking for a unique and personalized wedding experience!

About wedding venues

How much do wedding & reception venues cost?

The cost of wedding venues varies, with factors influencing cost including size, location, guest count, and, most importantly, whether things like catering and rentals are included. The more a reception venue near you includes, the higher the cost. When considering venues, try to compare prices apples-to-apples. If one venue includes catering and rentals in their pricing and the other doesn’t, you need to figure out how much additional cost those outside vendors would be to make a true comparison. Before booking, be sure you’re aware of additional costs outlined in your contract, like parking fees and weather-related considerations (adding a tent, etc.).

What questions should we ask wedding venues?

When talking with a potential venue, always ask about 1) their availability and 2) their capacity. Some popular venues book up peak season Saturdays nearly 2 years in advance—if your first choice date isn’t available, consider your flexibility on day of the week and year. While maximum capacity is non-negotiable, venues might have guidance on what guest count will be most comfortable. Also, you’ll want to understand what is and is not included in the venue’s fees. Some include catering, tables and chairs, and linens, while others offer just the raw space. These venues are often less expensive because you are only paying for the space itself, and you’ll have to bring in outside vendors
