We got married at the Willows venue in June 2026 and it could not have been more perfect! Not only is the area absolutely beautiful, from the very beginning of our planning process the entire staff was so helpful and supportive. On our wedding day, both my husband and I were stress and worry free, because of how professional our entire staff was! If anything went wrong, we had no idea! Callie, Maddie, Lila, Sebastian, and Layton were so great and attentive during our reception, and Twisty Christy was an amazing bartender! However, Maleah and Maddie deserve a special shoutout- Maleah is an incredibly attentive and kind young lady who acted as our banquet coordinator. She was always asking if we needed anything, and our drinks were always refilled when we turned away for a moment. She also made cleanup so easy for us. Maddie was our coordinator, and our entire family was impressed with how professional and experienced she is! We got to know her from our tour at the very beginning, and throughout the entire process she was supportive of our vision and held our hands when we needed her to! If you want a stress free wedding day, I recommend booking here!

Had one of the greatest times of our lives staying at the Grace River Island Resort for our November Wedding! We booked for November 22nd - 25th and from the moment we arrive we were in awe of how breath taking the location was, just like the first time we saw it a year prior. Mike, Karen, and Skye were very attentive to our questions and needs, and everything was ready for us upon our arrival. All the amenities they provided were clean and fresh, ready for us to use, shout out to the cleaning crew! There was plenty of room for our wedding party of 20, and we spent four amazing days making wonderful memories with our family and friends. The sunsets here were truly magical, as we would often gather at the dock to take in the view and spend most of the nights cozy around the firepit. On the day of the wedding, their team helped set up tables, worked alongside the vendors, and were extremely professional throughout the day. I'll be forever grateful that Skye came out with a tray of food for me and my husband, thanks to her we could actually taste all of our catering menu while we were in the process of taking photos and videos! The hospitality that was shown to us by the Grace River Island team was impeccable and they truly made our stay there one we shall never forget. Thank you so much Grace River Island!!! - With Love Gabriella & Gelson

My daughter and her husband chose Milton Ridge for their wedding venue. I live on the opposite coast so I had no opportunity to have a look myself. She and her husband were very happy with the layout of the property and the location. She assured me that staff were warm and friendly as well as very professional and that all questions were addressed promptly and in great detail. My daughter and her husband felt listened to and respected by everyone at Milton Ridge. I was anxious but it was their wedding and they had done a lot of research! I am overjoyed that they chose Milton Ridge for their very special day!! I spoke to many guests and family members that day and evening; everyone had high praise for the couple’s choice of venue. The property is self-contained with a beautiful turn of the century chapel on the lower level of the property and a very large bricked patio on the upper level; with an enormous wooden gazebo at one end and tiered garden area at the opposite end. Indoor or outdoor wedding?? Hard to choose as both areas are sooooo lovely. The Bridal suite and Grooms quarter are in a building adjacent to the chapel on the lower level of the property. Another turn of the century building with Bridal suite, porch and porch swing on the ground level and the Grooms quarters on the 2nd level via a private enclosed stairway; providing total privacy for both parties and their respective entourages. Both areas were very well appointed, comfortable and large; plenty of room for multiple people in each area to get ready for the big day! The Reception Hall was on the upper level with a porch and short stairway leading from the hall to the outdoor patio. The Hall was fresh and bright with plenty of room for DJ, tables, dance floor, bar and buffet without feeling overfilled or crowded. Bride and Groom chose the bar-b-que menu for their dinner; it was beautifully presented, delicious and plentiful. No one left Milton Ridge hungry that evening! The wait staff and bartenders were all very attentive and had obviously been very well trained at table service and bar service respectively. Music was provided by a DJ who was contracted by Milton Ridge and was included with the package that my daughter and her husband had chosen. The selection was a mix of old and new with the focus of getting the guests up and dancing. He was very good at his job and he accomplished his goal! Last but definitely not least; the photographer; also contracted with Milton Ridge! He was amazing!!! The unique shots, quality and beauty of his work left us speechless. He was everywhere, but never in the way, always inconspicuous and watching for that perfect candid shot. Even his posed photos had a very relaxed casual look about them. All photos were organized and available to the newlyweds on the Milton Ridge website within 10days of their wedding day!! ALL pictures belong to her and her husband to print, copy and share with whoever they wish!! Milton Ridge exceeded my expectation and I would never hesitate to recommend them to anyone!!

We absolutely loved having our wedding at Full Moon Resort. From the moment we arrived we were received with such warmth and welcome that we knew this was the place for our wedding. With enough place to stay on site for all of our guests we were able to have our dream wedding that felt like a two day adult campground. We loved being able to have people within walking distance of all the activities and not have to worry about transportation for our guests. The grounds are absolutely perfect for a wedding and the event team and the front desk run the whole place like a well oiled machine. Absolutely amazing that they have delicious catering on site and many different options for the wedding ceremony in case of bad weather so there is nothing for the bride to worry about on the day of her wedding. The event team and front desk were able to help us plan the whole wedding weekend and ensure that we did not have any issues coordinating with the venders on the actual day of the wedding which was such a relief or any issues with guest information. The vendor list was also extremely comprehensive and ensured that we only selected the best vendors for our wedding. Our guests didn't want to leave at the end of the weekend and they made us want to get married all over again. Thank you for such an amazing experience and helping us create the wedding weekend that we dreamed of :)

I am so glad I decided to get married at Historic Ann’s. The hosts are friendly and communicative, and happy to answer any questions. The space is absolutely beautiful and very enchanting. We were able to decorate the spaces to match our theme & vision for the event, which made things even more special. Having the different areas available helped to keep the party moving, provide spaces to rest from dancing, and gather in spaces away from the music so you can talk. It was also nice to be able to rent the Airbnb’s so we didn’t have to worry about where we were staying those nights.

We truly couldn't have asked for a more perfect venue for our wedding day. We were able to stay at Shadows for the long weekend - which allowed us to set up and DIY most our wedding. Our family and closest friends got to stay with us on the property for the weekend, which made it feel so much more special - and made us feel like we had so much time to take our wedding weekend in with everyone (rather that just one day). The venue was so spacious, which made the event feel large and free - rather than everyone being on top of each other. We used the following spaces for each part of our wedding: - Backyard grass and overlook - Ceremony - Front yard grass - Dinner & Speaches - Barn - Desserts, Snacks, Seating / Lounge Area, Guest Book - Barn Deck - Dancefloor & DJ We worked with Scena as our day-of coordinator and she was THE BEST! Helped so much with timeline, setup, coordination, rehersal, clean up - EVERYTHING! Truly could not say enough good things about her.

My dream ceremony spot was in the trees, and this venue was the only one I found in the area that offered it. The Enchanted Forest microwedding option was ideal; the venue is rural, peaceful, and spacious. They had an excellent unbeatable selection of decor and allowed any professional caterer. Communication was great, and I never waited long for answers. Closer to the event, having Holly, my coordinator's personal number for texting, was helpful. She and her assistant were excellent in setting up and stayed on top of the timeline. The phone and video calls, in-person decor selection, and venue walkthroughs eased my worries. While other bridal areas weren't pretty and/or small (locker room, gym, large closet) the bridal suite was large and beautiful, and the free engagement shoot perk was nice. Meeting Melanie, her husband and their dogs shows this is a family business. Fantastic venue.

My husband and I had a list of venues to look at. Estes Park was a big wish and once we toured Della Terra, we canceled all other showings and booked immediately. Best decision and no regrets. We really wanted a weekend wedding. Della Terra has incredible suites AND cute cabins on-site, all with hot tubs. This allowed our entire wedding party and family to book and stay onsite. We booked two years in advance which helped us take advantage of the availability. This meant no driving around the day of, breakfast included onsite, and being able to socialize and hangout with family and friends the night before, the morning of and the evening after the wedding. Not to mention our guests were spoiled to stay at such a gorgeous venue with incredible suites. Ashlyn J was our wedding coordinator. Which was included in our package. This was a huge bonus. We had 3 meetings throughout the planning, virtual made it easy, and we created our timeline from there. Della Terra has a bunch of unique opportunities onsite like pedal toss for photos and cocktail hour on the patio and late night nacho bar! We even had dancing and reception outside!! I didn’t know what to expect but Ashlyn was incredible. She was so upbeat, friendly, positive and helpful. From the very first meeting we were impressed and felt confident she had us covered. I really valued the fact that Della Terra had a wedding coordinator included for us. I think it made a world of difference and really showed the value to myself but also my family. They couldn’t say enough good things about the entire experience and Ashlyn and Piper and the team! Piper made all our guests feel welcomed and she made me feel super calm before going down the aisle. I knew our rehearsal would be chaotic because it was the first day and I had a huge wedding party. Ashlyn made it so smooth and easy. It honestly was a great first step at putting everyone at ease and they just started to enjoy the weekend and let things be because Ashlyn had it covered. The woman’s get ready room is absolutely stunning and we got to walk right out to the patio throughout the day and enjoyed the perfect weather. We used all vendors that worked with the venue often or in house. This also allowed for a smooth set up and take down. I never saw a contract and I didn’t have to worry because they were used to the venue. Definitely recommend doing it that way. Overall I highly recommend this venue. My wedding was a dream come true. The best day of my life and I couldn’t thank Wedgewood weddings enough for all the care and support they put into our day. Thank you!!!! Photo cred: @lizosban Instagram and Facebook

From our first conversation, the team was responsive and genuinely kind, making the entire planning process feel easy and stress-free. What really impressed us was their flexibility—when we wanted to change things on the wedding day itself, they rolled with it and made everything work seamlessly. The venue is stunning, with beautiful grounds and such a charming atmosphere that our guests couldn't stop talking about it. The value we got for what we paid was truly outstanding. We got married at Parrett Mountain Cellars on March 13th, 2025, and it was everything we could have hoped for and more. We were looking for a venue that felt rustic, intimate, and beautiful, and Parrett Mountain Cellars absolutely delivered. From the moment we toured the property, we knew it was the right choice. The setting has a warm woodland lodge charm, stunning views, and a cozy yet elegant feel that made it perfect for both our ceremony and reception. A huge part of what made our day so special was Sara and Marlene. They were incredibly supportive, communicative, and flexible throughout the planning process. Their attention to detail and thoughtful preparation (including backup plans for unpredictable Oregon spring weather!) helped us feel completely at ease. Our guests haven’t stopped raving about the gorgeous views and delicious wine. Everything about the venue felt personal and welcoming, without any of the stress or fuss you sometimes hear about with wedding planning. We wholeheartedly recommend Parrett Mountain Cellars to any couple looking for a hassle-free venue with heart, beauty, and that perfect touch of Pacific Northwest magic.

We had the most amazing time at Diamond Mills Hotel! The venue is BEAUTIFUL, and the staff is wonderful to work with. My husband and I also loved exploring Saugerties! Planning a wedding in two months was challenging, but booking Diamond Mills for our wedding venue was the best decision ever! We loved working with Stephanie, Carrie, and Brianne. They are highly organized and professional. Our wedding day was truly magical! Our guests had a wonderful time! We also really appreciate how the staff working on the day of our wedding ensured that my husband and I ate well (and remembered to eat as we interacted with our guests). The food served was delicious and we loved our wedding cake! Another great thing about booking the wedding at Diamond Mills is that the hotel is attached to the wedding venue - it was very convenient for us and our guests! We received a good discount for our hotel block. The wedding package they offer at Diamond Mills Hotel is truly well-rounded! Beautiful venue with indoor and outdoor spaces, catering, open bar, wedding cake, and supportive and amazing staff to help you plan your wedding and ensure that everything runs smoothly during the day of the wedding all for a reasonable price! I used some rental decorations, and the staff made sure to carefully pack everything at the end of the night, so shipping and packing up the following day was easy! We highly recommend Diamond Mills!

Where do I even begin? Two months before our wedding, we were absolutely devastated when our original venue unexpectedly canceled on us. After over a year of planning, it felt like our dream wedding was falling apart right before our eyes. We were stressed, heartbroken, and scrambling to figure out what to do… Then we found Agave of Sedona. From the very first conversation, John, Anissa, and Rosa didn't just give us a venue, they gave us hope. They immediately stepped in and made us feel like we were in the best hands possible. Every question was answered, every concern was addressed, and every detail was handled with so much care, kindness, and professionalism. They truly went above and beyond in every imaginable way. I genuinely do not know what we would have done without them. Not only did they help us pull together a wedding in an incredibly short amount of time, but somehow they helped create a day that was even more beautiful than the one we had originally envisioned. Every single space on the property is breathtaking. The views are stunning, the grounds are immaculate, and the entire venue feels magical. Our guests could not stop talking about how beautiful everything was. What stood out most, though, was the people. John, Anissa, and Rosa treated us like family throughout the entire process. They cared about our wedding as if it were their own. Their warmth, responsiveness, flexibility, and genuine desire to make our day special made all the difference. During a time that could have been filled with stress and disappointment, they made us feel supported, excited, and confident every step of the way. When our wedding day finally arrived, everything was absolutely perfect. Every detail came together flawlessly, and for the first time in months, we were able to simply be present and enjoy every moment. Looking around at our family and friends celebrating with us in such a beautiful setting was something we will never forget. Our wedding day was truly the best day of our lives, and Agave of Sedona played a huge role in making that happen. If you are considering getting married in Sedona, stop searching and book Agave immediately. Not only will you have one of the most beautiful venues imaginable, but you'll have an incredible team behind you that genuinely cares about making your day unforgettable. John, Anissa, and Rosa: Seriously, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You didn't just host our wedding. You saved it, and then somehow made it even more beautiful than we ever dreamed possible. We will be forever grateful.

We are proud and happy to help curate every wedding to our couple's romantic specifications. We include coordination, and no 'must use' vendors list so you can make your wedding personal and relaxing. We only offer totally private rentals, so you can feel like your guests are visiting you in your own home. Our pet-friendly property even lets you bring your pups. Rixey offers the most spectacular views... from the top of the Blue Ridge Mountains on one side, to the bottom of Rixey Lake on the other. Our rooftop and patio spaces make for a magical setting both at sunset and at night, and the Ballroom, complete with climate control and ADA-accessible bathrooms, means that inclement weather won't have a negative effect on your special day. The history of the house lends an air of vintage elegance, but what most of our couples love is the comfy atmosphere provided by big sofas, real fires, and the ability to curl up at the end of the night in the library with your favorite people.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Flexible event spaces
  • Offers full-service amenities
  • Pets can join the celebration

Venue considerations

  • No venue-provided food services
  • Not wheelchair accessible
  • Best for events with big guest lists
We had a great experience with Rixey and for the context of this review we had a 150 person wedding a 48 person rehearsal dinner and a 120 person welcome party all at the manor. Isadora feels like your kind neighbor who lends you her home for your wedding. There is no “fine print” she is very upfront about what you can and can’t do and she really does let the world be your oyster. She always feels like you’re talking to a real person and not a sales person. She will not hound you about anything and really is good at just making sure the big parts are taken care of as you wish and then she fields the small stuff. The venue is a blank canvas. For me this was the best and worst part. The best part was we could do anything. The worst part was we could do anything and your mind changes so much in a year and a half. The home was built in the 1800s and you can use it as is, or dress it up. Rixey was SO kind to let us decorate or take down what they had in the house to let us feel like everything felt more like us. My goals/ priorities going into wedding weekend were: 1. Be with people as much as possible 2. Flexibility 3. Be able to stay on the premise/ friends and family stay with us 4. Not be limited to an xx-hour timeline for the whole weekend where all your things need to be in and out by strict times. 5. Bring own vendors & alcohol (This saved us THOUSANDS, probably 10s of thousands actually.) Rixey really got us with the “basically it’s an Airbnb with a wedding venue attached” and honestly it felt like just that. I had spreadsheets of venues from PA/ MD/DC/VA and Rixey was the only venue we could have Thursday- Sunday, bring in all our own vendors & sleep 12-18 people on the premises. (ideally, we wanted to have more people on the premises, but such place does not exist in our price range) Everywhere else that could house more people were resorts or hotels that got you stuck into vendor packages that ate up your wedding budget like it was an appetizer. Isadora brought us in gave us some vendors she used in the past and liked. Some worked very well for us, others were not our style and that’s okay! She is not offended in the least. She was able to give us , , or she does not have any incentive to push any vendor on you. She tells you who she likes and it’s up to you, if you use them. Her helpers- she has extra sets of hands, who again feel like friends and family of hers that help your wedding weekend go as planned, from filling up water jugs, to tapping beers, setting up tables, cleaning off tables, dishes, boxing or unboxing stuff, giving out tips, making our bud vases. We literally just handed her the boxes of things on Thursday and they were all set up by Friday at the rehearsal dinner. Other vendors we used here Sammys rentals for tent and some tableware Will Gralley DJ- absolutely recommend kept 3 hour dance floor going all night Audra Jones Photography- absolutely recommend see photos attached Good Earth- very fairly priced and easy to work with Classic catering- some logistical issues, but keep your ducks in a row and you can save thousands here. Transportation Central Virginia Wine tours- best price we could find in the area, flexible and easy to work with, would absolutely use again

About wedding venues

How much do wedding & reception venues cost?

The cost of wedding venues varies, with factors influencing cost including size, location, guest count, and, most importantly, whether things like catering and rentals are included. The more a reception venue near you includes, the higher the cost. When considering venues, try to compare prices apples-to-apples. If one venue includes catering and rentals in their pricing and the other doesn’t, you need to figure out how much additional cost those outside vendors would be to make a true comparison. Before booking, be sure you’re aware of additional costs outlined in your contract, like parking fees and weather-related considerations (adding a tent, etc.).

What questions should we ask wedding venues?

When talking with a potential venue, always ask about 1) their availability and 2) their capacity. Some popular venues book up peak season Saturdays nearly 2 years in advance—if your first choice date isn’t available, consider your flexibility on day of the week and year. While maximum capacity is non-negotiable, venues might have guidance on what guest count will be most comfortable. Also, you’ll want to understand what is and is not included in the venue’s fees. Some include catering, tables and chairs, and linens, while others offer just the raw space. These venues are often less expensive because you are only paying for the space itself, and you’ll have to bring in outside vendors
