About this venue

The Sixpence Wedding + Event Space is a premier venue servicing the Greater Indianapolis area and beyond. Spanning 17 acres of rolling property, The Sixpence features 3 multi-functional spaces, all highlighting the coexistence of aesthetic beauty and practical functionality. The Barn is an 8,000 square-foot ceremony/reception hall. It includes a caterer's kitchen, huge bar, large private getting-ready suites, and full HVAC with heated floors. Our 4 distinct ceremony spaces are all beautiful & functional - whether you envision getting married in our ballroom-like interior barn, lush lawn, outdoor patio ceremony space, or new wooded ceremony space! The Homestead is a renovated saltbox farmhouse that sleeps up to 10, available for overnight or full weekend rentals. The Workshop is a renovated garage hangout space complete with pool table, darts, bar, TVs, and getting ready spaces. It's available as an add-on for single day rentals, and included in full weekend rentals.

    JUST WOW

    The team at The Sixpence Wedding Event Space provided unbeatable communication and attention to detail that made our wedding day truly special. No detail was missed, from the beautiful lighting that accentuated the space, to the amazing staff who anticipated our every need. When the sunset started to make the room a bit too bright, the Sixpence staff seamlessly drew the shades to create the perfect ambiance without our guests even noticing. Our Sixpence Manager was incredibly sweet and thoughtful, making sure we had all the champagne we needed while getting ready and checking in on us throughout the day. We could not have asked for a better venue and team to host our wedding celebration!!!

    From the moment we booked The Sixpence Wedding Event Space, their communication was truly incredible. The venue itself was clean, elegant, intentional, and chic - exactly the vibe we were going for. They executed my vision for the day perfectly, and the bar selection was exactly what we were looking for. The Sixpence team went above and beyond to ensure our wedding day was everything we dreamed of and more. We couldn't recommend them highly enough.

The Sixpence is located just off US 32 and state road 421 in close proximity to Zionsville, Carmel, Westfield, Noblesville, and Whitestown... and less than an 45 minutes from downtown Indianapolis.
The Barn at Sixpence is 8,000 square feet and can easily and comfortably accommodate up to 300 guests for an indoor seated event.
Yes! The Barn at Sixpence has both a grooms room and a bridal suite complete with bathrooms, vanities, and more.
The Homestead at Sixpence is an 1851 fully-renovated farmhouse that finds the perfect combination of classic romance and airy charm. The Homestead sleeps up to 10 and is perfect for the night before your wedding for you and your bridesmaids. The Homestead is included in full weekend rentals, and can be added to single-day rentals upon availability.
The Workshop at Sixpence is the man-cave of your dreams. A classic old-school feel, the Workshop has a pool table, darts, a bar, and much more. Single-day rentals are from 9 AM to 11 PM. If having an extra day to decorate is important to you, please consider a full weekend rental!
To secure your date at The Sixpence, a 50% deposit is due with a signed contract.
Unfortunately not.
We do have a Preferred Vendors List that has been carefully curated by our own firsthand experience with these vendors. Each couple that books with us will receive a copy in their Welcome Box!
For all events over 50 people, The Sixpence requires security, but we provide access to it! Our officers will be contracted for an hour before your ceremony and stay an hour after the event. This is included in your package and will incur no additional costs.
Yes! If you are interested in scheduling a photoshoot on the property and you are not a current client, we have a 2 hour minimum, at an hourly rate of $150. This gives you access to the venue. However, if you are a contracted client, this is included in your rental!
We host weddings and events Tuesday through Sunday, and therefore cannot guarantee availability prior to the day of your wedding. We have a variety of options, including day-of walkthroughs starting at 9 AM, as well as day-prior rehearsals upon availability. If you are interested in a guaranteed day-prior walkthrough and a rehearsal dinner on-site, please consider our weekend rental.
Yes! You absolutely can. The Workshop at Sixpence is perfect for rehearsal dinners and any sort of party. The Workshop sits near our Silo Pit, a custom fire pit to sit around and watch the sun go down. Reach out to us for more details on this at shelby@thesixpence.com.
Since The Sixpence is 17 acres, we provide multiple golf carts for easy transportation across the hills between the Homestead, the Workshop, the Barn, and the Creek.

The Sixpence is fully insured for the facility and the company. We have a partner that offers single day liability insurance to our couples.
