Avon Gardens has been a part of love stories for over 20 years. We pride ourselves in offering guests to the gardens a unique experience unlike any other. The gardens themselves have been on multiple national garden tours and featured in Midwest Living magazine. The sun gardens offer spots bursting with glorious color throughout the season, and the ravine and waterfall gardens offer serene, shady sites, all perfect settings for many photographic opportunities. Because of the changing seasons of the gardens and the customizations of the ceremony and reception areas, no two weddings are ever alike.

Avon Gardens offers an intimate and romantic setting for your wedding, nestled amidst five acres of beautifully landscaped gardens and water features. We offer two locations for couples to pick for their wedding ceremony location! The first is at the arbor. The second is at our maple tree. Both have customization options (at no additional fee) to customize the space to fit your vision!

Evening receptions are simply breathtaking with over 100 candles and festive lighting scattered through the florals in the Gardens.

Our reception space is located in our Sun Gardens. Guest seating is fully covered in our dining areas. We also have a pavilion that will house buffet tables (if doing a buffet), cake table, and turns into the dance floor! The reception space also has the bar and included cocktail hour space! Let us help you create a unique wedding event that you and your guests will always remember, immersed in the tranquility and peacefulness of nature.

    The Most Beautiful Wedding Venue in Indiana

    Avon Gardens is, without question, the most beautiful wedding venue in Indiana! If you have ever dreamed of a romantic garden wedding, this is THE place for your dreams to come true. The flowers throughout the property are absolutely breathtaking, and wandering the gardens felt genuinely magical, not only for our bridal party but for all of our guests. Even as guests entered the gates for the ceremony lawn, we could literally hear their gasps as they took in the beauty, the gorgeous garden flowers, the beautiful ribbon chair sashes and rose petals lining the aisle, the peaceful arbor elaborately decorated with stunning flowers in our color scheme situated just in front of a beautiful pond. After the ceremony, our guests were escorted through a different set of gardens to a cocktail hour location next to another pond and babbling brook, with adorable locations throughout for our guests to mingle and enjoy appetizers and drinks. Then for the reception they wandered a charming pathway through the sun gardens and into the dining/dancing pavilions. As the sun set and seemingly thousands of twinkling lights and candles illuminated the gardens, the entire venue was transformed into the most enchanting, romantic setting imaginable. It truly felt like something out of a fairy tale. Our guests couldn't stop talking about how beautiful Avon Gardens was. Even weeks later, people are still telling us it was one of the most beautiful weddings they've ever attended. We agree! Beyond the perfect visual beauty of Avon Gardens, one of the things we appreciated most about the venue was the flexibility. We were able to bring in our own caterer, bartenders, drinks, decorations, and other vendors while also taking advantage of many of the venue's own services, such as their beautiful centerpieces, candles, signs, card box, and more. This saved us so much money in the end, and the selections we had to choose from were practically limitless. We were able to create exactly the vision of the wedding we envisioned within our budget. And beyond that, the entire Avon Gardens team was exceptional from beginning to end. They helped us plan every detail and then executed everything flawlessly on the wedding day. They carefully set out all of our decorations and table decor, making sure everything looked exactly as we had hoped. Then, as we opted to use their beautiful centerpieces and candles and lanterns, they created the most elegant and romantic tablescapes. Their professionalism, kindness, and calm presence made what could have been a very stressful day feel truly easy and enjoyable. They are all just really nice people, and their warmth and care are only outmatched by their professionalism. Our daughter's wedding was everything she dreamed it would be, and everything we wanted it to be for her too, and Avon Gardens played a huge role in making that happen. We truly cannot recommend Avon Gardens highly enough. If you're looking for a venue that combines the breathtaking beauty of a romantic garden wedding with unmatched flexibility and a team that genuinely cares about making your day extraordinary, seriously look no further than Avon Gardens.

    Must Book!!!

    My now Fiance and I booked Avon Gardens a year before we even got engaged. We fell in love with the Gardens, so we wanted to make sure we secured a spot! The staff has been so helpful and easy to work with. You can see the love they put into the venue. I finding especially helpful with the add ons they provide with decor. It’s saving us a lot of stress and storage being able to choose our centerpieces and ceremony decor from their collection. I can’t wait to see the big day come together and I couldn’t recommend this place more!

    The Most Perfect Experience

    We had looked at many venues, but as soon as we toured Avon Gardens, we knew it was the one. They provide so many included services in the price, take care of almost everything for you, and let you choose your own vendors. They helped us customize everything from the decor to how we wanted to run our ceremony so that our wedding felt completely unique. You can tell that they think of every detail and truly care about your experiences. The staff is incredible, friendly, and knowledgeable and the grounds are gorgeous. They exceeded our expectations in every way!

We add portable AC units and fans that we add to the reception space to help keep guests cool for no additional charge. If it will be cold outside, we have heaters that we add patio heaters to the reception space for no additional charge. The wedding suite and restrooms are both temperature controlled spaces.
The majority of our property is gardens for people to enjoy! Our ceremony area is on an open lawn, so seating is not covered. The ceremony arbor, where the couple stands, is under cover. The reception spaces, including dinner seating, are all covered!
We have multiple rain plans and discuss them in-depth during tours. If there is rain before the ceremony and then blue skies, our team dries off all of the chairs. We then leave an additional dry towel on each chair for your guests. We work very hard and watch the radar to try and use the ceremony lawn on rainy days, as that is usually what the couple wants! In the event of heavy rain and/or lightening, the ceremony will be moved to the covered reception area. Additionally, we currently have umbrellas for about 100 guests that we can set out for no additional fee.
We do not have any required vendors! We also do not charge any fees for using outside vendors. ‍We do provide a list of recommended vendors during tours. Couples are not required to use from this list. These are just vendors that we have had good experiences with!
With the gardens surrounding the ceremony and reception areas, the space doesn’t need much dressing up! Customizations for the ceremony area are included for no additional cost. Couples are welcome to rent our centerpieces or to bring in their own. If you opt to bring your own, our team will set them out for no additional fee!
Venue cleanup is included in your rental! At the end of the night, it is important that all of your items get returned to you. Our team will help gather your items and load them. We recommend designating a friend and/or family member’s vehicle for items to be loaded into.
Couples are welcome to use a wedding planner or day-of coordinator! We do not require it. Our garden rental fee includes a designated venue coordinator who will also coordinator your rehearsal and ceremony for no additional fee. Our team does take a more “behind the scenes” role for the reception.
End of April, May, June, July, August, September, and October
Given the outdoor nature of our venue, we do not book weddings November through mid-April.
Our couples are free to pick whatever service they would like to for the bar! We do require all couples follow all local, state, and federal laws regarding serving alcohol at events. This includes proper permitting and licensing. We review all of this in tours as well to address any questions!
Yes! We have free parking on-site.
Yes, all our Gardens are wheelchair accessible. There is a main paver pathway that connects the majority of the property, with the exception of the ceremony lawn. The lawn is turf. Additionally, we have an accessible restroom option for guests. The back of the pavilion space also has a ramp.
