Hummingbird Hollow deserves every star for their incredible venue and hospitality!! Obsessed is an understatement -- I LOVED having our wedding here!! This venue and the owners are absolutely AMAZING! I loved working with Pam and Michael from Day 1. They were so quick to get back to me about availability when I inquired about their venue -- and they even personally called me to set up a time to check it out that very weekend while my mom was in town from out of state! The venue is absolutely gorgeous and as soon as we stepped on site, my Mom and I knew it was the perfect place for the wedding! Pam instantly understood my vision for the day and was quick to recommend local vendors which was SO incredibly helpful as I am not local to the area! All the vendors Pam recommended were absolutely wonderful!! And Pam was the most incredible chef!! I loved working with her both on the menu and the vision for the day! Having so many family members on both sides come in from out of town, I absolutely LOVED that we were able to host a welcome party on site the night before our wedding which Pam helped us come up with an incredible Menu of Greek food for as a nod to our honeymoon destination! It was so fun getting to spend even more time on such an incredible property with our loved ones. I had also told Pam how important it was to me to get to spend some time with my bridesmaids before the wedding, so I loved being able to stay at the venue the night before the wedding with my gals! It really eased the stress of the weekend to already be onsite and with my sweet friends at such a gorgeous and peaceful place. The wedding was everything I ever dreamed and the Wedding Walk was the perfect spot for our dreamy ceremony. Everything about our weekend at Hummingbird Hollow was perfect and working with Pam and Michael was an absolute joy!! I could not recommend this place enough!! Everything went so smoothly and was so stress free! If you love florals and greenery, this is THE PLACE for you!!! _______ Looking back at this experience, almost a year later, I still dream of this gorgeous, whimsical hideaway! Hummingbird Hollow is the most serene and stunning venue -- I could not be more glad to have found this absolute gem of a venue!

No commuting between ceremony and reception. Bridal suite and grooms cabin. All. Bliss. Also, do yourself a favor and hire Emma as your day of coordinator!

The venue itself is impeccably maintained, blending rustic charm with elegance in all the right ways. It offered everything we hoped for and more, creating the perfect backdrop for our big day. The property itself is nothing short of breathtaking. Nestled in the rolling hills, the views stretch for miles in every direction. As the sun sets, the landscape is bathed in golden light, creating a truly magical backdrop that made our ceremony feel even more special. The combination of rugged natural beauty and peaceful surroundings created an atmosphere that was both romantic and unforgettable. Our guests couldn’t stop commenting on how incredible the scenery was—it’s the kind of place that makes a lasting impression. We were thankful to have our wedding party and immediate family stay the whole weekend to give us the time to setup our dream wedding. Having the hot tub, pool and game room access was just a cherry on top of a perfect weekend! The reception was held in the venue’s hall, and it was absolutely gorgeous. The space perfectly balances Hill Country charm with elegant sophistication. High, exposed-beam ceilings, warm wood finishes, and large windows that frame the landscape outside gave the entire evening a welcoming yet refined feel. The hall was spacious enough for dining, dancing, and celebrating, yet still felt intimate and cozy. The flow of the room worked wonderfully, and the acoustics and lighting were spot-on. It was truly the perfect setting for a night we’ll never forget. A huge shoutout goes to the owner Jenny, who was warm, welcoming, and genuinely invested in making our day perfect. Their passion for the property and for helping couples create unforgettable memories truly shines through. We also want to give special thanks to Greg, their property manager, who went above and beyond for us. His attentiveness, professionalism, and calming presence made everything run smoothly. She became family. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful, but what truly makes Willowynn special is the people behind it. Amanda and her team went above and beyond in every possible way. On our wedding day, they handled every single detail flawlessly setting every tablecloth, fork, candle, and piece of décor exactly how I envisioned it (without ever questioning my “extra” ideas ). I never once felt stressed because I knew we were in the best hands. Our day was seamless, peaceful, and honestly magical and that is all because of Amanda and her incredible team. Willowynn will forever hold such a special place in our hearts and in our family’s story. If you are even thinking about getting married here DO IT. From the moment we started planning our wedding, The Reserve on Cypress Creek was great to work with. Their communication was always detailed and responsive, and they made it easy to schedule tours and get our questions answered. The natural beauty of their venue was simply stunning - the lush greenery and serene creek provided the perfect backdrop for our special day. They went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect, even finding a small round table for our wedding cake and providing the option to cool our reception tent with A/C as a last minute addition. We also loved the custom photobooth logo they created with our names. The Reserve's "dream team" vendor package for DJ, bartender, and security was a huge help, and we were very happy with the bartender and security services we used. I can’t vouch for the DJ as we just had a family friend manage a playlist and speaker/mic (sound level meter in the tent was great!!). Overall, The Reserve on Cypress Creek exceeded our expectations and we would highly recommend them to any couple planning their wedding. Guests are raving about how beautiful the venue was.

Arrowhead Hill at The Lakota
Rating: 5.0 (5 reviews)
Montgomery, TX
  • Up to 300 guests
  • All-inclusive
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Offer

There's a particular kind of quiet that settles over Arrowhead Hill at The Lakota in the late afternoon, when the light turns gold across 85 acres of Montgomery, Texas countryside. As a modern farmhouse wedding venue, it trades in that hush deliberately: whitewashed wood walls, oversized windows, and a chapel built to let the day's natural light do most of the decorating. Say your vows there, then cross into the reception hall, where exposed stone pillars and timber beams elevate the oversized ceilings. When cocktail hour arrives, it moves outside to a tented courtyard strung with lights, weatherproofed so the evening never has to pause for a forecast. Guests who travel in can stay the night in the on-site cottages, turning a single evening into a proper weekend among rolling hills. For couples chasing a modern farmhouse wedding venue with real acreage and real texture, up to 300 guests fit comfortably into the story Arrowhead Hill tells.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Flexible event spaces
  • Wheelchair accessible
  • Caters to out-of-town guests

We had the best experience with Spring Lake at Conroe Stonebrook Hall and can’t say enough great things about Lauren and her amazing team for our June wedding! They were always just a call or text away, ready to guide us through every question with patience and kindness. The hall is already so elegant with its natural wood color and white limestone walls that made our theme just pop more - all our guest complimented the hall choice. Lauren went above and beyond, she even helped us with floor plans and made sure every detail was perfect. We planned our wedding while I was living in another city 3 hours away and their professionalism and warmth made planning so much easier. Highly recommend!

The Retreat at Sugarhill is absolutely stunning. From the moment we arrived, we knew it was the right place, but it still exceeded every expectation we had. The new bridal suite is beautiful, spacious, and perfect for a bridal party to get ready comfortably. They also have cabins available on-site, which are great for out-of-town guests or those who want to stay close by. In our case, the groomsmen stayed in a cabin the night before, and our bride and groom used a cabin on their wedding night, which made everything seamless and special. Crystal and Sean, the owners, are truly the most accommodating people we’ve ever met. If we had a vision, they brought it to life—always with a smile. It rained for most of our wedding day, but you would never have known it by how perfectly everything turned out. They went above and beyond to make sure the day was still everything we dreamed of. They handled vendor coordination on the day of the wedding, which allowed us, as the parents of the bride, to spend the day with our kids and not worry about last-minute details. The venue provides access to a décor room full of beautiful options, which saved us so much money and time. From booking to the moment we walked out the door after the wedding was over, they were only minutes away whenever we needed anything. Anytime we made a special request, their response was always something like, “We haven’t done that before, but let’s see how we can make it work.” If you’re looking for a venue that is breathtaking, flexible, deeply personal, and run by people who genuinely care about your day—The Retreat at Sugarhill is the place to be. 100% recommended!

This venue was absolutely perfect for our April 2025 wedding. The chapel is absolutely STUNNING and the weather was perfect so we were able to have the walls rolled up. The reception space was beautiful and roomy for our 170 guest wedding and did not feel overly crammed at all. Love the fact that the dinner serving area is behind the fireplace and does not take up any room for the guests. The staff that we communicated with were very professional and helpful. The only thing that was not my favorite were the sizes of the bridal/groom suite. Luckily our bridal party was not very large so it worked for us, but if you are having a larger bridal party it might be pretty crammed. Overall I HIGHLY recommend this venue to any couple interested in it!

Texas Rock House is a labor of love. My grandparents built the house and barns in the 1940's as a working farm for their family. My mother was the youngest of seven children that grew up here. I grew up almost across the street with my mom (Joyce), daddy (Buddy), and brother (Larry). Larry and I spent almost every Friday night here - listening to his records on Grandma's old record player or sitting on the back porch swing counting the number of cars on the trains as they passed by. Whether you are looking for a memorable barn wedding venue for your special day, a unique event space for your corporate meeting, or a beautiful place to celebrate one of life's special moments, the Texas Rock House is the place to be! I (and my family) have had many wonderful memories in this place - and hope you do too!

Why you'll love this venue

  • Lush gardens

  • Has a dance floor for celebration

Venue considerations

  • No all-inclusive dining options

We had our wedding at Texas Rock House and it was absolutely perfect! The venue is gorgeous with its rustic charm and spacious layout. Throughout the planning process, Erin and her staff were extremely helpful, communicative, and available to answer any questions we had. They were positive, hardworking, organized, and so reliable - I trusted them completely to help our big day run smoothly. The venue was decorated beautifully and every detail was perfect. Texas Rock House was the ideal setting for our wedding and truly made our day special. I cannot recommend this venue highly enough!

About wedding venues in Texas

Why Is Texas an Exceptional Wedding Destination?

Texas offers an incredible variety of wedding settings across its diverse landscapes. You'll find everything from romantic Hill Country vineyards to stunning Gulf Coast waterfronts that provide perfect backdrops for your special day. The state is home to countless venues that showcase authentic Texas character while still matching your personal style. Think rustic barns where longhorn cattle graze nearby or sophisticated urban venues with dramatic city skyline views that'll impress your guests. Many Texas venues incorporate unique regional touches you won't find elsewhere; live country music that gets everyone dancing, mouthwatering BBQ stations and custom boot favors that celebrate local heritage. Whether you're planning an intimate gathering or a grand celebration, you'll find Texas venues ready to accommodate your vision.

What's the Average Cost of Wedding Venues in Texas?

Wedding venues in Texas typically cost between $3,000 and $30,000+ depending on what you're looking for. The national average runs about $6,500-$12,000 which represents roughly 25% of your total wedding budget. Your overall wedding costs will depend largely on how many people you're inviting to share your special day:

Guest CountAverage Total Wedding Budget
50 guests$19,410
100 guests$32,365
150 guests$44,545
200 guests$55,433
250 guests$66,322
300 guests$77,211
In Texas specifically, venues typically account for about 16% of your total wedding budget with couples spending an average of $6,932. This gives you plenty of room in your budget to customize other elements of your celebration that matter most to you and your partner.

Which Wedding Venue Types Are Most Popular in Texas?

Texas venues offer distinctly regional experiences that capture the state's diverse character. Hill Country locations around Fredericksburg give you gorgeous vineyard settings with beautiful limestone architecture and sunset views that will take your breath away. If you're considering Houston, you'll find venues that thoughtfully incorporate bayou landscapes alongside sophisticated cosmopolitan amenities. Dallas spaces tend to showcase luxury urban environments with elegant design elements that create a refined atmosphere. Fort Worth venues perfectly blend Western heritage with modern conveniences for a uniquely Texan experience. November emerges as the most popular month for venue inquiries across the state, so you might want to plan accordingly if you're interested in this popular time frame.

How Far in Advance Should You Book Your Texas Venue?

Texas couples typically book their wedding venues about 16 months (or 457 days) before their wedding date. November stands out as the most popular month for venue inquiries so planning early is essential if you're considering this timeframe. This advanced booking timeline helps you secure your preferred date since popular venues often fill their calendars far in advance especially for prime weekend dates. Booking early also allows you to lock in current pricing before annual increases that many venues implement. Plus you'll have more time to work with venue coordinators to customize floor plans and discuss details that will make your celebration uniquely yours.

Where Can You Find Accessible Wedding Venues in Texas?

Madera Estates in Conroe stands out for its commitment to accessibility with fully paved event spaces that accommodate wheelchair navigation throughout the property. You can host up to 330 guests here and the venue is frequently praised for physically walking through accessibility needs during the planning process. You'll also find excellent accessible options at Jennings Trace near Houston which offers single-level celebration spaces. Hummingbird Hill Weddings in Chappell Hill prioritizes inclusive design throughout their venue and The Preserve at Canyon Lake features wheelchair-friendly pathways connecting all major celebration areas. These venues ensure all your guests can fully participate in your special day regardless of mobility considerations.

Which Texas Wedding Venues Offer Outstanding Culinary Experiences?

The Bell Tower on 34th in Houston delivers exceptional dining experiences under Executive Chef Sergio Arellano. His international culinary team creates gourmet meals on-site that will impress even your most food-savvy guests. Food-focused couples should also consider Steiner Ranch Steakhouse in Austin where you'll enjoy spectacular views alongside premium cuts of Texas beef. Cisco's Salsa Company near Tomball has built a reputation for their award-winning Mexican cuisine that adds authentic flavors to your celebration. Avenida Brazil Churrascaria Steakhouse in the Houston area offers a unique Brazilian steakhouse experience with tableside carving and a festival atmosphere your guests will remember long after the wedding day.

How Can Texas Venues Support Remote Wedding Participation?

For couples wanting to include loved ones who can't attend in person, several Texas venues now offer more than just basic streaming services. Venues like Agave Estates Mara Villa and The Middleton Venue in Katy specialize in creating interactive remote experiences that make distant guests feel truly present. You can work with these venues to design custom interactive elements that go beyond passive viewing. Think virtual guest books where remote attendees can leave video messages remote toasts synchronized with in-person celebrations and even coordinated dance moments. These thoughtful touches ensure everyone feels included in your celebration regardless of where they're located.

What Wedding Expenses Should You Budget for in Texas?

Beyond your venue there are several other key expenses to consider when planning a Texas wedding. For a typical 150-guest celebration your budget will likely break down this way: - Florists: $6,755 (15%) - Venue: $6,932 (16%) - Catering: $5,546 (12%) - Bar services: $4,437 (10%) - Photographers: $3,966 (9%) - Videographers: $3,555 (8%) - Planners: $3,768 (8%) - Bands & DJs: $1,299 (3%) - Cakes & desserts: $853 (2%) - Hair & makeup: $495 (1%)
