About this venue
Set high on a hilltop only 30 miles from Austin, Cactus Moon Lodge is designed to function as a single entity, with a main lodge and individual casitas for your enjoyment. Connected by breezeways, porches and walkways, it offers you and your guests options to celebrate and relax together, but also have privacy when you desire it. Our space features large stargazing decks, a sunken Spanish-style courtyard, a horizon pool, and views for miles over a ravine, canyon and the hill country. Upon arrival, you’ll remember what it’s like to exhale.

Sunken Courtyard
A favorite spot for saying I do or dancing under the stars.
This space features a gravel courtyard area adorned with overhead market lights and a wrap around covered patio space. Many couples say I do in front of the trellis, but it's also the primary location for dancing and music.

The Pool Deck
The stunner spot with views for miles.
The pool deck is a favorite spot for reception or rehearsal dinners. Market lights hang overhead and the views are breathtaking! Some couples also choose this spot for their vows or for a small cocktail hour before dancing in the courtyard.

Mother of Hundreds Room
A chic, indoor flex space with boundless options
The Mother of Hundreds room is primarily used for lodging, but can be cleared for an indoor ceremony or dinner. It's a great rain plan option, but many brides pick it straight away for its blank canvas and beautiful wide open doors to accommodate their event design dreams.

The Overlook
A raw canvas with views of hill country for miles.
The Overlook is a raw and rustic canvas allowing for larger groups to host ceremonies with a view and build out for dinner and dancing under the stars. Any size or shape of tent can be rented for this space as well, and in-house wood benches and rug offerings are a favorite for ceremony set up.

Cactus Moon is THE Best
As soon as we laid eyes on Cactus Moon Lodge, we knew it was the place we wanted to get married. The views, the work they have done to make the grounds look stunning, and of course the people who work there were all so amazing. The communication from the beginning was incredible and very transparent. They are willing to work with you to make sure your wedding day turns out to be what you have envisioned. The grounds provide such an amazing space for an intimate evening. Also, the rooms for lodging are very nice and well taken care of. We couldn't have had a better experience working with Cactus Moon, and we are already trying to plan another excuse to come back.
A Gem in the Hill Country
Cactus Moon Lodge is such an intimate, beautiful event space in Dripping Springs! The property is quite literally one of a kind and truly speaks for itself! On one side you have a gorgeous view of the Hill Country from the outside patio and pool deck, then you can enjoy a delicious dinner al fresco under the stars at night in their festoon-lit courtyard space. Nothing compares to the magic of it all! Being able to lodge onsite in the cute casitas with friends & family, wake up, make breakfast in the Main Lodge, and move into the event day truly just makes the space feel like HOME and brings a peace to the day that can't be beat! I can truly say this venue is an absolute GEM and my clients and I have absolutely loved our experiences at the lodge! Not only that, but the Cactus Moon team itself is incredibly kind, super on top of all the details and are on-site day of the event in case you need anything at all! I genuinely cannot recommend Cactus Moon Lodge enough - it's my favorite place to be and never disappoints! Onsite lodging, fresh air, magical views, twinkling stars at night.. what could be better than that!!
Wedding @ Cactus Moon!
Cactus Moon is a magical place! From the incredible hill country views to the beautifully decorated casitas, the entire property is so well designed and thought out. It really has a special energy to it! On top of that, the Cactus Moon team is a pleasure to work with. Bri and Liz made everything seamless, from the first site visit, the initial booking, all the way through the event weekend. We feel so lucky to have hosted our wedding here and got the opportunity to stay on the amazing property, celebrating with our closest family and friends. We can’t wait to go back!
Unique venue for intimate wedding, we loved it!!
We had actually ruled out the idea of getting married in Austin because we could not seem to find the right option for our intimate wedding of about 55 guests. We stumbled on Cactus Moon through a recommendation I found on a blog. I am so grateful that we had the opportunity to get married there. It was a dream come true and offered a lot of functionality to host our rehearsal dinner and hangover brunch over the course of a weekend. The property speaks for itself. You have to see it in person to really understand the layout, but everything was designed so thoughtfully. The furniture and tables/chairs the venue has on site are also really interesting and high end pieces. We hosted our wedding dinner on the deck while watching the sunset and it was everything. The views go for days, which is not super common in the area. Liz, the owner, is truly so kind and was a great resource. Then they hired a venue manager, Bri, and that was great because we has someone to be a little more in the weeds with the details of our wedding day. This is a special place and an amazing place to host a special occasion. We loved it so much - there just might be anniversary festivities here in the future!!
