About this venue

Hidden in the beautiful Piney Woods of East Texas, we are located on the edge of the untouched Sam Houston National Forest, where we have carved out an amazing space to give your wedding an authentically magical setting. We have three huge, connected Nordic Tipis with an elevated hardwood dancefloor, hand-built poplar banquet tables, an indoor stage, and staging areas for buffet, sit down catering, and bar service. On our outdoor ceremonial stage, we have erected a naked tipi covered in fairy lights with aisle seating consisting of long cedar benches for an authentic woodsy wedding experience. Let us amaze you.

    At The Shire Weddings & Events, it was an absolute dream to work with for our wedding. Their communication was excellent from start to finish, and the quality of their work and value was truly great. Autumn was amazing - she made our wedding day run smoothly, and I don't know what I would have done without her. The venue was stunning and magical, and our guests couldn't stop raving about how unique and special our wedding was. I wish we could have had more time to celebrate. We are so grateful to the entire team At The Shire for making our special day everything we could have dreamed of and more.
