About this venue

Lostfork Basecamp is a private riverside wedding venue in the Colorado mountains, about an hour from Denver. Geneva Creek runs through the property at the base of Guanella Pass, and your whole day unfolds along the water, ceremony in the trees, cocktails by the creek, dinner and dancing as the light goes gold. When you reserve it, everything is yours: every cabin and A-frame, the creek, the pines, the fire pit. No other events, no strangers, just you and your favorite people. All lodging is included, so your closest people stay the night, and every cabin has its own hot tub. Up to 150 guests can dine banquet-style in our new reception pavilion, coming in 2027. Construction is underway and we'll tour the site where it'll stand. Come see the space. The venue speaks for itself.

    Best CO Venue!!

This is the cutest little CO venue that was just an absolute dream to be at! Not only is the location incredible but it’s the perfect spot to get the full CO cabin wedding experience. I absolutely loved spending time here, and Claire, the on-site coordinator was so kind and thoughtful and just overall made my experience that much better. I cannot wait to go back!!!!!

We absolutely loved our stay at Lostfork Basecamp. One of the first things we noticed was how incredibly level the RV site was. We came prepared with leveling blocks, but honestly, we barely needed them at all. For anyone traveling with an RV, that alone makes setup so much easier. The RV sites are full hookup and very spacious. You never get the feeling that you are squeezed in next to another RV, cabin, or A-frame. The individual cabins and A-frames also have excellent separation and privacy, which makes the entire property feel much more peaceful and thoughtfully designed. Our site backed up to a small creek, and that was probably one of our favorite parts of the stay. Sitting outside, listening to the water and watching the creek was incredibly relaxing. The combination of the trees, shade, and flowing water creates such a calm atmosphere. I can imagine this being especially wonderful during the summer, when the shade and creek would make the property feel noticeably cooler and more comfortable. The location is also extremely convenient, right off Highway 285 and near the Guanella Pass route. We specifically came this weekend to see the fall colors, and one of the best surprises was being able to completely avoid the heavy I-70 traffic. We approached Guanella Pass from the other side, and the entire drive was beautiful. The road conditions were excellent, there was no stressful traffic, and we did not have to navigate rough or sketchy mountain roads. It was such an easy and scenic way to reach Guanella Pass. Another feature we loved is the common area across the little bridge. It leads into a beautiful event and wedding space tucked into the trees and surrounded by nature. It feels secluded without being difficult to access. There is also a communal sauna right next to the creek, so you can literally go from the sauna straight into the cold water for a cold plunge. For anyone who enjoys the hot-and-cold sauna experience, this is such a fun and unique amenity. They also have a dedicated campfire gathering area with three gas grills nearby. Unfortunately, we were visiting during a Level 2 fire ban, so we were not able to enjoy a campfire this time. Otherwise, sitting around the fire with s’mores in the evening would have been perfect. After seeing the grills and gathering area, I was already thinking that next time I would love to bring a group of friends and host a little outdoor dinner or party here. Overall, Lostfork Basecamp feels spacious, quiet, scenic, and very well planned. You get the peaceful mountain experience without having to deal with difficult access, crowded RV sites, or the chaos of I-70. Between the creek, privacy, full hookups, sauna, beautiful grounds, and easy access to Guanella Pass, this is definitely a place we would come back to.

Lily, thank you for the thoughtful, detailed, and insightful review. It’s so wonderful that you had a great time at Lost Fork and enjoyed our RV setup. We’re recreational vehicles owners ourselves, and so we put a lot of time into making it comfortable. Please feel free to reach out directly to us anytime via the lostfork.co website and we’ll gladly help you set up a group stay with friends and family. We host quite a few reunions, events, retreats, and of course weddings during all seasons of the year. We appreciate your feedback and look forward to hosting you again soon.

(Translated by Google) A beautiful place where you can relax in the mountains, a pleasant spot full of peace and quiet. We didn't have many neighbors. I recommend visiting Guanella Pass. And especially visiting in the fall. The service was good. But I would recommend having someone who speaks Spanish; it would be helpful.
