Vishal Sehgal Photography
Rating: 5.0 (6 reviews)
  • Fine art style
  • Starts at $3,500
  • Serves Sunnyside, NY

Born into a family of photographers in India, Vishal Sehgal began his journey behind the lens at fourteen, shooting his first wedding alongside his father, who founded their studio in 1965. Moving to New York in 1996, he built on that legacy to become a leading luxury wedding photographer. Blending timeless artistry with modern sophistication, Vishal is known for his refined style and ability to capture the emotion, elegance, and essence of every celebration he photographs.

Vishal photographed and did the videography for our wedding eight years ago, and we’re grateful to still have so many lovely memories captured from that day. He was easy to work with, patient, and blended in so naturally with our family and friends. We especially appreciated having someone we were so comfortable with behind the camera, it made the whole day feel more relaxed and personal. Thank you for being part of such a meaningful moment in our lives!

Tom Schelling Photography

Using our cameras, we get to record your love story for you and your family to share with future generations. How cool is that? As a wedding photographer in New York City, Tom has captured over 100 weddings! Together, we love to celebrate with you and your friends on one of the most exciting days of your lives. It brings us such joy to capture your wedding in an artistic way, not only telling your wedding story, but also making sure to bring warmth and friendliness (and a few laughs!) to the day.

Awarded Best of Zola
It’s taken us practically a year to write this review because it’s been so difficult to put into words just how amazing Tom Schelling is. Something someone told us before we got married was that the only thing you have from your wedding day are the pictures you’ve taken. Of course, the spouse and the memories, but the pictures are the only tangible thing you keep with you to look back on. So, when we started the process to find a photographer, it was very important to us that we found someone we were comfortable around, someone who truly felt like a friend- and that’s exactly how we felt (and still feel) about Tom and his wife Heather Schelling, whom we hired as videographer. Throughout the entire process, from signing the contracts, to shooting our engagement shoot on the opposite side of the country, to our wedding day, Tom and Heather have been there for us every step of the way. Tom has been so organized and communicative throughout the entire process and just so thoughtful in everything he does, from mailing us his wedding guide (super helpful) to the beautiful prints he sent once he completed editing. Like a lot of weddings, ours had some tough family dynamics to contend with. Tom handled the situation and everyone involved with such grace and professionalism, that we hardly noticed or felt any of the tension we expected, allowing our wedding day to flow that much more smoothly. On that same note, Tom was able to make any changes in schedule on the day of feel nonexistent as far as getting the photos done. All the scheduling, conversations, organization, planning, and worrying aside, the main part of the job, the photos themselves, was unmatched. We are continually so impressed with the quality of Tom’s work, and would recommend him over and over again.

Wedding Pros Photography was an exceptional choice for our wedding photography. Their communication was immediate, with no delays, which put us at ease throughout the planning process. The quality of their work was exceptional - the photos were colorful, vibrant, and well worth the cost. They were practically invisible during the ceremony and reception, capturing all the special moments without being intrusive. We are thrilled with the final results and would highly recommend Wedding Pros Photography to any couple planning their wedding.

I can't recommend Johnny and his team enough! The photos and video beautifully captured our day. Leading up to the wedding, Johnny was super easy to work with and very communicative every time I had a question. On the wedding day, they went above and beyond to be helpful. We had a DIY wedding, so there were moments when we relied on him to guide us through and we couldn't have done it without his help. We are so happy with the photo album and the video.

Steven Rosen Photography
Rating: 5.0 (42 reviews)

  • Starts at $2,500
  • Serves Sunnyside, NY

I have been a photographer for the last 20 years, shooting weddings, elopements and portraits. I'm proud to have shot more than 150 same-sex weddings, which is probably more than, well, just about anyone. That said, I’ve worked with as many straight couples as LGBTQ ones. I don't discriminate. There are many other photographers whose work inspire me, but my primary inspiration comes from painters. Rembrandt, Vermeer, Sargent, to name a few.

Awarded Best of Zola
We had a great experience with Steven. He was not afraid to make decisions and he pushed us to think about exactly what shots we wanted leading up to the wedding. He was open to our ideas but also had great ideas of his own, including making some suggestions about the positioning of the ceremony that resulted in not only making the pictures better but made sure all our guests could see. He was punctual on the day of the wedding and took time to come out to our venue in advance of the wedding to see how we might optimize the photos. His assistant was also very helpful at our pre-ceremony shoot.

Anchor Studios Photography was an incredible partner for our wedding day. From the moment we first spoke with Edgar, his communication was on point, attentive, responsive, friendly, and professional. The quality of their work was simply amazing - their photos are timeless, professional, and extremely detailed oriented. We were especially impressed when another photographer had to cancel last minute, and Edgar stepped in seamlessly, presenting his services to us in a very prepared and professional manner. Throughout the day, the Anchor Studios team was flexible, punctual, caring, organized, knowledgeable, and had great time management, ensuring our wedding day went off without a hitch. Hi! My name is Madison, but you can call me Maddi. Raised in Maryland, I've lived in Colorado, South Dakota, and Germany. I now live in San Diego with my husband and our two dogs. I've always had a love for photography and I feel privileged to bring my passion to life. I want my photos to capture the genuine feeling of the moment and to reflect you and your story.

Awarded Best of Zola
Madison's not just someone with a camera and capability, she's a photographer with a natural good eye as well. We appreciated her clean subject alignments/angles and more true-to-color editing and were very impressed by the pictures we got back from reception, where we had pretty complex indoor lighting: A whole wall of windows behind us most of the time and then dark brown ballroom lighting into the evening (@Loews Hotel). Not to mention, we asked her to minimize using flash as a personal preference and she was so receptive and remembering of that too. Communicating with her was like talking to a friend. She was responsive, engaged, and inclusive. Could go on and on, but her images speak for themselves because she is consistent both in her photography style as well as personality!

I think the best decision we made in our entire wedding process was booking Lindsay and Nathan. They were fantastic to work with - we always felt extremely comfortable and always trusted in their judgment! We worked with them for both our engagement shoot and wedding - and each session truly blew us away. They captured our wedding so beautifully- the videos and photos well cherish forever. I think the best part about working with them - is knowing they had everything always under control - working 2 steps ahead at all times, could control the wedding party (lol), and didn’t miss a beat. I spent MONTHS looking for our photographer and went through countless rounds of calls and inquiries- the second we spoke I knew they were the ones. CHOOSE THEM. You won’t regret it!!!

Hello, my name is Julia. I’m a wedding and portrait photographer based in Upstate New York, capturing love stories in a soft, natural and timeless way. Before photography became my full-time path, I studied architecture, which taught me to notice harmony in lines, balance in space and the quiet beauty of natural light. My approach is a mix of gentle guidance and documentary storytelling. I’ll guide you when needed, but I also give you space to be yourselves, so your photos feel real, relaxed and true to you.

Awarded Best of Zola
We are absolutely thrilled with our engagement photos, all thanks to Julia! From the moment we first connected, she took the time to really understand who we are as a couple and what mattered most to us. She didn’t just show up with a camera—she showed up with intention, creativity, and a genuine desire to make the experience personal and meaningful. Julia tailored everything to our preferences—from the location to the vibe we were going for—and she made us feel completely at ease throughout the entire shoot. It felt more like a fun adventure than a photo session, and the result was a collection of images that truly reflect us. Every photo feels natural, romantic, and full of joy. We’re beyond grateful for Julia’s talent, warmth, and the effort she put into making this such a memorable experience. If you’re looking for someone who blends professionalism with heart, and who will go above and beyond to customize your shoot, Julia is your person. We can’t recommend her enough!

Jessica Manns Photography

Hey! I'm Jess, the owner of the company that's named after me - shocking, right? I'm from the suburbs of Philly but now live up in the mountains of Northeast PA in Montrose, right on the border of Central NY. I'm married to a woodworker (who HAD to be the inspiration behind Ron Swanson because they're the same human), we live on 25 acres with three huge dogs (2 Golden Retrievers and one Great Pyrenees) and three ducks - and I'm constantly begging for more animals. I'm outgoing, sarcastic & humorous, and I love organization/cleaning, sushi, reading, The Office, and traveling everywhere I can.

Awarded Best of Zola
Jess is the BEST of the best. Truly!! We had obsessed over her beautiful work from afar for months prior to reaching out, she has the most insane eye for composition and color. Before the wedding, she kept in touch with us actively and answered all our questions with ease! But the real treat was when we actually met. Our whole wedding day (and our engagement photos too!) felt like we were just hanging out with a great friend. When she arrived on our wedding day, we jumped right into easy joking and laughing like she had spent the whole day with us already! She has this crazy knack for eliciting genuine joy in photos just by being her warm, bubbly self. We never felt any insecurity while taking photos with her. She effortlessly coaches poses and captures the silly little candid moments that make the day unique! Jess was so prepared for the wedding day, and super knowledgeable about the little wedding details that you wouldn’t consider. She offered her help and support in a way that never felt intrusive. Jess got our group photos done in a jiffy and was SO EFFICIENT. She made us laugh the whole day through and contributed to the vibes of the day so well. You can tell from her work that Jess puts so much care into editing and composing each and every shot, we have spent so much time admiring all of our photos. We could not have asked for a more spectacularly captured time capsule of our day, we will treasure these photos forever. We would recommend Jess to absolutely anyone who asks (and even those who don’t.)

Jenny Flora Photography
Rating: 5.0 (13 reviews)
  • Fine art style
  • Serves Sunnyside, NY

Before I ever held a camera, as a kid I was obsessed with organizing and reorganizing printed family snapshots in albums. This infatuation with captured moments, led to picking out my first film camera, a 35mm Pentax, film developing and darkroom printing in high school, and then my BFA in Photography Degree. From there, I worked in varied sectors of photography, but my true passion lay in documentary work that could bring about awareness of challenging global situations. I have published and exhibited journalistic series internationally, notably at Oxford University and Aperture Foundation.

Jenny was incredible. She photographed our engagement photoshoot and July 2024 wedding. Her eye for visual beauty and ability to understand what you are looking for with your photos makes her an outstanding photographer. There wasnt one second of our wedding day that wasnt captured because of her. We are so thankful to have hired Jenny to capture our moments. We hired Jenny after seeing the stunning photos she captured at a friends wedding, two more of my friends then hired her from this recommendation as well and i think it speaks volumes about how amazing Jenny is that so many friends hired her as well.

If we could, we’d give him an infinite amount of stars because he deserves it! For starters, when my now husband and I were looking for a photographer, we were looking for someone who would capture our vision. Something outside of the ordinary and completely non-traditional. We stumbled upon his website and work. Boy, Oh boy! I was left speechless. Each piece I saw of Zorz just told a story! A story of love, definition, purpose, and, most of all, happiness. They were vibrant yet moody. Exactly down my alley. I instantly told my husband... “He’s the guy!!’ So we booked him INSTANTLY! Fast-forward to the first photo shoot. To give you an idea of what I wanted, I wanted to capture a nontraditional engagement photoshoot that steered away from the typical wedding photos. We opted to trash the dress. (Full disclosure: to me, traditional weddings are overrated, and the prices of wedding dresses are a scam.) So I thought, "Let's get creative! Let’s trash the dress like a beautiful, vibrant disaster." We told Zorz, and he was FULLY on board. He understood the assignment and absolutely delivered it! (Please see attached photos) Forward further: Wedding day photos. -Breathe, MF taking!!!! (Excuse the profanity, but really captivating) I know when couples look back on their wedding day photos they become emotional. When I tell you it’s been a year later, and every photo Zorz took still makes me feel like the first time I saw them… Warm and filled with happy tears. He knows how to capture the moment as is- the true definition of “A picture is worth a thousand words” The man, the legend… Zorz: He was great to work with. He was patient, kind, respectful, and funny. He made us feel comfortable in our own skin and knew how to handle the stresses of the big day. Words are not enough to express how much we (I especially) appreciate the work he does. 1000/10 Don’t hesitate, book him!! I promise you, he will not disappoint!!

Tess and Julia Weddings
Rating: 5.0 (10 reviews)
  • Fine art style
  • Starts at $2,400
  • Serves Sunnyside, NY

Our names are Tess Mayer & Julia Wang and we are photography duo based in NYC. We met our freshman year at NYU Tisch and since then have run a magazine together, worked as teaching assistants at ICP & NYU, and shot our first wedding our senior year. Our style is a blend of candid documentary and stylized portraiture - we approach your day not as strangers following you around, but as excited guests (who happen to be carrying around cameras and massive lenses) who will most likely cry during your vows. We love small, intimate and relaxed weddings.

Awarded Best of Zola
We hired Tess to photograph our wedding and the experience was wonderful! When choosing a wedding photographer, you’re choosing someone to spend the day with you at some of the most emotional moments of your wedding day. Tess was an amazing choice for that role. She was kind, easy-going, and became a great friend throughout the day. We met over FaceTime well before the wedding to communicate our photo goals. She asked us to curate a Pinterest board for her and to set some “must have” photos. In addition to standard photos, we also got film photos. Her style throughout the day was to be a “fly-on-the-wall” but to also intermittently direct us to make sure we got the photos we had asked her for. My husband, who’s not much of a “photos guy”, was so impressed when we received the results. We loved working with her!

I’ve spent years refining an approach that allows me to sincerely honor the moment — knowing when to step in and adjust a subject or environment, and sensing when to stand back and allow a moment to just be. With me, your photographs will be an intentional representation of this time of your life — imagery that will make you feel like it was just yesterday, and yet, feel forever untouched by time. Truly, the honor is all mine. Thank you for considering me to document this luxuriously intimate wedding event.

Awarded Best of Zola
I cannot say enough wonderful things about April and Mike. We, like so many others right now were a COVID couple, who were forced to postpone their wedding day several times. April and Mike hung in with us, from Dec 2019 Engagement Photos until FINALLY photographing our wedding on July 3, 2021. They are so easy and responsive with communication, and they work wonderfully together as a team. We have been so pleased with how well they captured our personalities, and the beauty of our wedding day. If you are looking for professional, easy-going photographers that will willingly go above and beyond for the perfect shot, look no further than April and Mike. Thank you so much, from the bottom of our hearts, for capturing our wedding so perfectly!

Daniel was soooo kind and thoughtful in the planning process. He met us the day before for our rehearsal dinner/vow exchange and we got these stunning photos by the lake. I’m so awkward in front of a camera but he managed give clear queues to relax us and got adventurous with some shots. On the day of our wedding, he navigated the many moving parts really well, captured the ceremony perfectly, and got great shots during the party. The sneak peek photos were great and I’m grateful he could turn them around so quickly. Overall, a great experience, a delight to work with. He’s got great packages and would hire him again!

Passionate about storytelling and as a wedding photographer with a deep love for capturing love stories in their most authentic and beautiful moments. The quality of their work is exactly what you see in the samples, and even better when you see yourself in the photos! We can't say enough good things about Will - he truly was a key factor in our wedding day going smoothly and pleasantly. Moments happen in front of me and I make a split decision on how valuable those moments will be over time. The second I click the camera is when I confirm it was glittering gold. I look for that gold all day, constantly seeking out what is valuable. As a mother, a daughter, a sister, and a wife, I know the feeling of being in a moment, seeing something happen that is seemingly mundane, but then realizing years later just how grateful I am that I actually took out my camera and documented that memory.

Working with Lindsay for our wedding was an absolute dream. From the moment she arrived, she made us feel completely at ease, allowing us to truly enjoy every moment of the day. Her creativity and incredible eye for detail brought out the best in every shot, capturing not just the moments but the emotions behind them. Lindsay’s energy and charisma made the whole experience so much fun—whether she had us running through vineyards or sharing a quiet glance, she made every moment feel authentic and effortless. She truly captured the essence of who we are, and the photos are a perfect reflection of our personalities and the joy of the day. We couldn’t recommend her more highly!

My name is Mari, and I'm so thankful for many aspects of my life, including traveling the world. Photography and traveling are the two pillars that allow me to express my creativity. My couples enjoy curated experiences and thrive on exploring exotic landscapes to create memorable organic moments. I enjoy a multi-layered approach that infuses editorial touches and fine-art styles while still highlighting the candid, authentic moments of your celebration. My pursuit of impeccable details pushes me to continually evolve my vision while reminding me of the importance of carrying my camera with humor, compassion, and curiosity.

Hi, I’m Yosaidy your hype woman, storyteller, and third wheel with a camera. I’m a Venezuelan photographer and graphic designer, currently based in New York (but always down to travel). I’ve been in the U.S. since 2016, but I actually started shooting weddings back in Venezuela when I was just 18. Since then, photography has taken me on the wildest ride meeting people from all over the world, learning about different cultures, and capturing the kind of moments you never forget.

We are NOT people who feel comfortable in front of a camera, but Yosaidy made us feel so relaxed and natural. She guided us without making anything feel forced, and the results are incredible. Our wedding photos look like something out of a magazine but still feel 100% like us. We are beyond grateful for her talent and patience.

Hi! I’m Abigail. I was born without arms and am based in Binghamton, located in Upstate NY. I’m a passionate wedding photographer with a heart for capturing genuine love and emotion. I offer two distinct editing styles to reflect your unique story: a warm, nostalgic Boho Vintage look and a clean, timeless Light & Airy / True to Color style. Whether you’re drawn to earthy tones or bright, natural hues, I tailor each session to beautifully preserve your memories.

Abigail photographed my engagement and wedding photos in May and October. She made an already special time into something magical. As someone who has never felt beautiful, the way she captured the day made me finally feel that way for the first time. She and her second shooter were both so sweet and on top of every moment of the day. She was so organized and knew exactly what she wanted to do for the photos, making the day feel like a breeze. Her boho editing style perfectly complemented the fairytale/fantasy feeling of the wedding. Overall, a wonderful experience and I couldn’t have asked for someone better to photograph mine and my husband’s special day.

I photograph love because I believe in it. I don’t believe in it in the way that a little girl believes in ferries or unicorns, a hopeful “I think it is real” kind of a belief, I believe in its power. I believe that love is the most important emotion we will feel in this lifetime and I believe it has the greatest ability for good. I believe that each human on this earth should have the opportunity to feel deeply loved and to love another deeply themselves. I believe that love is something that should be treasured, cared for, and celebrated.

Two friends of ours used Allison at their wedding, and couldn't stop raving. When we saw the pictures - it was easy to see why. When our turn came, Allison was our first call, and somehow, she was even better than our (already high) expectations. From the initial meetings that just made us feel so at ease and comfortable, through the prep process, everything was just...easy. Even the engagement photos/"love story session" we weren't sure if we wanted...but it ended up being one of our favorite parts of the process and a much needed night in the slog of wedding planning - and it's because Allison made it so special. When the big day came, Allison was again perfect...she kept things fun, moving and well-planned...even through the never-ending family photos, it never seemed like a drag. When we got the pictures...just wow. Our friends described Allison as "capturing peoples' true selves" and that's exactly what she does. Every time we look at the pictures, we're taken right back to the happiest day of our lives, and can feel all the same warm fuzzy feelings we did then from being surrounded with all our friends and family. We're so glad we have these to help us return to those moments whenever we need a little pick-me-up, and we can't imagine anyone besides Allison to have been there to capture them.

I’m Kelvin Garcia, the creative mind behind Kelvin G Photo. Photography has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember, but it wasn’t until I picked up my first camera that I truly fell in love with the art of capturing light and shadows. There’s something magical about seeing how light transforms the ordinary into something extraordinary, and that’s what I aim to bring to every session I photograph.

Kelvin G. Photography was the perfect choice for our wedding photography. From the very first interaction, Kelvin demonstrated a professional and personable communication style that put us at ease. He was incredibly organized, walking us through his process and the timeline for the day. The quality of Kelvin's work is simply stunning - his attention to detail, romantic style, and ability to tell a story through his photos exceeded our expectations. Kelvin replicated all the photos I wanted based on the inspo I shared, and he was super helpful by showing me visual options of his editing work so I could get a better idea of the gallery he'd be delivering. Kelvin is a true professional at capturing timeless moments, and his quick turnaround time was unmatched. The photos and posing felt natural and authentic, exactly what we were looking for to remember our special day.
