Originally I thought I could handle wedding planning myself with the help of our venue coordinator -- but as our wedding day approached, the overwhelming amount of logistics planning our wedding from the other side of the country sent me into a tailspin. Enter Charity -- leaving our first discovery call I immediately felt myself relax. It was an easy decision to hire her and my only regret is not hiring her from Day 1! Charity is kind-hearted, detail-oriented, creative, and knows her stuff. We hired her for "Wedding Coordination & Management" 5 months before our wedding, but her support went far beyond our expectations for that sort of service. As soon as we signed our contract, Charity was available to answer any questions I had (even little things like, are real or fake candles better?), and three months out she really dove in. She attended all of our vendor meetings, asking questions we never would have thought of, advocating for our vision, and reassuring our decisions. She managed communications and made sure we and our vendors all stayed on track. When it came to the wedding weekend (9/14/24), Charity was our biggest cheerleader and fierce protector. Leading our rehearsal she made sure to tell everyone that SHE was their point of contact and not to bother myself or my husband the day of the wedding. She arrived on our wedding day before any vendors showed up and stayed until the last vendor left. This woman walked over 14 MILES running around making sure everyone was doing their job and everything was perfectly in place on our wedding day. Our decor was set up perfectly, we ran EARLY on our timeline (I've been in a lot of wedding and know it's a miracle to even be on time), and us and our entire families were able to fully relax, unbothered, knowing that everything was being handled by a pro. When it came to the end of the night, we were able to go enjoy our after party with our guests without worrying about tearing down our event. We woke up the next morning to everything put away neatly back in their boxes ready for us to haul home. Charity's support literally followed through to the very last minute. To those brides whose venues come with a coordinator — I would seriously recommend still hiring Charity. A venue coordinator is not t he same as what Charity offers. That wasn't clear to me before, but it's very clear after. If you want someone who can support coordination across ALL of your vendors, be by your side in the months leading up to the event, and advocate for your vision throughout, do not wait until the end like me! We truly didn't have a single thing go wrong on our wedding day, and I am certain that would not have been the case without Charity! As we entered our wedding week with a strong likelihood of rain, Hillary went above and beyond to create multiple contingency plans, working flawlessly with our other vendors to ensure we could carry out all the aspects we wanted in our day. As the weather forecast changed by the minute just prior to our ceremony, Hillary made recommendations but ultimately left decisions up to us when it came to changing our timeline, and carried out our decisions without hesitation. My husband and I hired Madison as our day of coordinator. We did not hire a florist and ended up doing a lot of DIY projects for our wedding decor. We really wanted a professional to help us with setup and take-down of decor on the wedding day, so as not to burden our family/friends and take them away from the event to help. Madison was so friendly in the months leading up to the wedding and offered us lots of helpful advice on things we didn't even think to prepare for, like arranging seating charts and timing of processional songs. Our original venue coordinator ended up having to move away just a couple weeks before our wedding day, and Madison took the lead in syncing with the new venue coordinator on all the things we'd talked about. This really helped us out and took a load off our plate in those last few weeks before the wedding! The day of, she came early to the venue and, like a fairy godmother, had incorporated all of our decorations beautifully before we even arrived, so we were able to take lots of photos beforehand! Throughout the event, she cleverly found ways to repurpose some of our decor items to give them a second life, like setting reception flower arrangements along the room's bookshelves to dress them up for the ceremony, making a beautiful display with our ceremony roses and boutonnieres on our memory table, and using me and my bridesmaids' bouquets to create a beautiful sweetheart table arrangement! We were so incredibly thrilled with how well Madison and her team were able to follow our vision and exceed our expectations. A final sweet memory I have from near the end of the night - my hair was getting very tangled with my dress buttons on my back from dancing, and I was overheating and sweaty. Madison and her team arranged my hair into a beautiful low bun style so I could go back and have fun dancing again without worrying about it tangling further or looking bad. :) I'm so thankful we hired Madison as our day of coordinator, and we can't recommend her enough!!

My husband and I frequently find ourselves looking at each other and exclaiming, “we had the perfect wedding.” And we did, it was perfect in every way we could have imagined. I’m certain that we wouldn’t be able to say that if we hadn’t worked with MB Events. For context, I didn’t want a wedding. I wanted to elope because it would be easy and I just wanted to be married, but my husband encouraged me to consider an intimate wedding with our closest friends and family on his parents’ property. He also insisted on getting a wedding planner to make this as stress-free as possible for both of us. We talked to several wedding planners, but when we got off the phone with Marissa from MB Events, I immediately said “she’s the one.” Marissa was the only planner we talked to who asked about our story, our families, and our feelings right off the bat. She listened to us and gave us frank, honest advice about planning a “backyard wedding” (spoiler: it takes a village). I was truly starry-eyed while talking to her because she is the epitome of calm confidence. Now, this land needed some serious TLC… I remember when MB Events first came to look at the property, it was hard for any of us to imagine how we could turn it into our wedding venue, but Marissa saw through the wild overgrowth and created the loveliest vision that we never would have thought of without her help. It was the spark that motivated us to make this work. We didn’t really know what we wanted this wedding to look like, only some vague ideas: warm and whimsical, like a garden party with lots of light and color. We shared Pinterest boards with a wild mix of inspiration, and she was able to sift through all our ideas to nail down a theme that considered who we are as individuals and as a couple. Planning a wedding on family land requires a lot more thought and effort than a wedding at a venue. You need to consider things like bathroom trailers, weather protection, parking, and countless other things that were not even close to the front of our minds. MB Events thought of everything – this was clearly not their first rodeo. Marissa put together floor plans, mood boards, and schedules detailed down to the minute. She held our hands through every step of the process, kept in contact via call and text, and sent us reminders to be sure that nothing was forgotten. We took all her recommendations without question, including her vendor recs (which are top tier, btw), and I’m so glad we did. There are no words to adequately capture how incredible our wedding turned out to be. It all came together seamlessly, and we’ve been so humbled by the number of compliments we’ve received from our guests. But the best part for us was not having to worry about a single thing the entire wedding day. Knowing MB Events had everything handled gave us the peace of mind to be fully present (especially on the dance floor), and that is a gift that we will be forever grateful to them for. It’s priceless. At the end of the night, we exchanged tearful goodbyes; it feels like we’ve known them for ages instead of a year. It’s so obvious that they love what they do. Their love, care, and authenticity radiates. We cannot recommend MB Events enough; we can say confidently that our wedding day was the best day of our lives, and considering one of us didn’t want a wedding in the first place, we think that’s saying something. 10/10 would renew our vows just to do it all over again.

She helped us with the searches for everything—venue, DJ, photography, day-of coordination, flowers, catering—and provided us timelines and organization tools that were genuinely invaluable. We had very little idea going in exactly what was needed to plan a wedding, but Brittany’s collaboration made us feel very on top of things. Working with Jo and For Every Joccasion was the best decision my husband and I could make for our wedding day! My husband and I are very simple people who are usually "go with the flow", so planning and executing a wedding was not an easy task. We reached out to For Every Joccasion and Joelene was quick to respond. We worked together over many months to plan our perfect wedding down to every last detail. We collaborated on a theme, colors, special events for the reception, etc. Joelene even offered to do most of the "heavy lifting" for us! She talked with vendors to find the best match for our ideal plan. When our wedding day actually rolled around, Jo made the day fly by with ease. As a bride, I never had to worry if projects would be done in time, tables and chairs would be placed correctly, and if my party would arrive on time. We hired Leigh & Co for day-of coordination and were paired with Heather as our main coordinator and Rachel as our assistant coordinator on the day -- both were fantastic and a joy to be around! Heather was very communicative and easy to get in touch with leading up the wedding, which put us at ease. She offered great input in developing the timeline and thinking about the overall flow of the wedding. She brought up several things that we never would have thought of that made things run so smoothly (e.g., suggesting when the officiant should ask to turn cell phones off at the ceremony, how to spread out the toasts during the reception). In setting up the ceremony/reception, Heather and Rachel made our decor look spectacular and kept track of everything special to us (including a few family heirloom pieces), and safely and quickly packed everything up for us at the end of the night. Due to some unexpected heavy traffic in the area, we ended up delaying the start of our ceremony but we didn't worry even for one second that anything would get upended because Heather and Rachel had it covered.
