Hi, I’m Sonya, the founder of Bread and Blossom, an event planning and sourdough business I started in 2020. I’m thrilled to channel my expertise into helping couples bring their wedding day dreams to life. I thrive on the energy of planning events and am always dreaming up my next big party. At Bread and Blossom, we believe every detail matters and every celebration should feel as unique as the love story behind it.

I have 15 years of industry experience. My journey into weddings and events began with a passion (and degree) for all things hospitality. Over the years, I’ve worn nearly every hat in the industry—food and beverage manager, luxury hotels, fine dining server, bartender, banquets manager, catering sales manager, florist, corporate event designer, bar manager, private chef, line cook, cater waiter, etc. You name it, I’ve done it! This wide-ranging experience has given me a deep understanding of what it takes to create unforgettable events.

Description			Partial planning is prefect for the couple who still want to be involved in their wedding but don't want to handle every detail! I will assist as a consult throughout your entire planning process. I will help with overall design, f&B consult, walk through of your space, etc.	I prefer to call this month of planning as I'll get involved 3-6 weeks prior to your wedding date. We will have an in depth meeting to plan your timeline and hand over all your details to me. I will take over on vendor communication so nobody is contacting you on the day of your wedding. I will also execute your ceremony rehearsal and be there to handle all details of the big day!

Sonya and her team are excellent!!
Sonya and the team at Bread and Blossom are fantastic. We worked with Sonya as a day-of coordinator. She was helpful in the leadup, having calls to check-in and recommend vendors when we ran into a few issues along the way. She showed up in a big way, helping us navigate our wedding day and frankly making it easy and enjoyable for us. Sonya took care of the details and executed. We highly recommend working with Sonya and Bread and Blossom.

Hire Bread & Blossom!
My now-husband and I got engaged in July 2025 and initially aimed for a summer 2026 wedding. Overwhelmed by work and unsure where to start—what’s a reasonable price for caterers and venues? Where do you rent a tent?—planning became more anxiety-ridden than joyful, so we postponed to 2027. When an aunt offered to help pay for a planner so we could keep the original timeline, we interviewed three candidates. Sonya’s warmth, expertise, and genuine care stood out immediately, and choosing her was the best decision we made. Sonya guided us through every step with confidence, clarity, grace, and a sense of humor. Even when we weren’t sure what we wanted, she took the time to understand us and offered perfect suggestions. She made clear what needed to be done and when, handled the many small details, and was always available to answer questions. I often joked I wished I could hire her to organize my whole life. Now that the wedding is over, I truly miss her presence. We originally saw a wedding planner as a luxury, but Sonya proved she was essential. She turned our wedding into a genuinely wonderful experience we’ll remember forever. It wouldn’t have happened without her, and we’re deeply grateful. You will be too!

Bread and Blossom helped make our dreams a reality
We met Sonya through a mutual friend and are beyond grateful that we did! From the very first day of working with her she was incredibly helpful, answering our questions and more importantly asking us questions to make sure we weren’t missing anything! She helped guide us in the planning process, going above and beyond to reduce stress and ensure we had everything in place for a successful wedding weekend. On the wedding day and in the days leading up to it, Sonya’s extensive experience really shined. Every potential problem was planned for or handled quickly and without stress, and Sonya frequently checked in with us throughout the day and made sure things were staying on track but also adaptable and flexible. Her assistant, Sara, was also incredibly kind, thoughtful, and helpful, and a joy to have around. Sonya helped us find amazing vendors through her strong network of fantastic people, and was a huge help when it came to figuring out which tent would work best for our space, helping us finalize the table layout and other logistics. She paid attention to all details large and small. Her organization and clear communication put us at ease on our wedding day. Simply put, Sonya and her team at Bread and Blossom were a dream to work with. She helped make the planning process much more clear and stress-free, and with her in charge on the weekend we were able to completely relax and be present with each other and our friends and family. Beyond being an absolutely excellent coordinator and planner, Sonya is just a wonderful, kind, and joyful person to be around, and we were thrilled to have her be part of our big day! Best Coordinator I Could Imagine!!
I hired Bread and Blossom to coordinate my wedding and I could not have been happier that I did! Sara, my wedding coordinator was truly amazing and everyone at the wedding noticed. We did a full busy day of activities and Sara made it all feel seamless for us and our guests; she set up an early 5k for us, she made sure all vendors got to where they needed to be, was there to answers everyone’s questions, set up absolutely stunning aesthetic displays on our boat cruise and dinner AND even found time to clean up my hotel suite and leave me a gift! Our wedding guests couldn’t stop complimenting Sara and I’m so grateful I hired Bread and Blossom! If you are looking for someone to help make your special day extra special and make sure it feels relaxing and fun please hire them!!

Sonya truly does it all!
Sonya is incredible! I’m not certain I can put into words exactly how much it meant for us to have her as a part of our vendor team. From day one she went above and beyond to get to know us as a couple and what our vision was for our entire wedding weekend. From finding vendors, gathering quotes, communicating our wants and needs, she was there for us whenever and however we needed her. She is incredibly organized and communicated with us as much or as little as we needed. She always worked around our schedules and made sure that we were enjoying being engaged instead of stressing over wedding planning. She made sure to be on all vendor calls and even made multiple trips to our venue to get a feel for the space and make recommendations for the flow of events we wouldn’t have thought of without her involvement. Sonya took over all vendor communications the last month before our wedding, and it allowed us to get excited and prepare our personal touches for the wedding while she dealt with final counts, payment schedules etc. We ran into some vendor miscommunications along the way and Sonya helped us navigate difficult conversations in a professional and efficient manner. Every single one of our vendors reached out to us to tell us what a joy Sonya was to work with. Just when we thought Sonya couldn’t get any better we arrived at our wedding weekend. Her presence was calming when nerves were running high. She kept our day and weekend on schedule. She handled any and all issues that arose before we even knew about them. She took care of us, as well as our friends and family. She also brought Sara along to assist with day of coordination and they were an excellent team. Sara was able to sense when we needed a break and was always nearby with a full drink, a bottle of water words of encouragement. Sonya even spotted an extra special photo opportunity right after our dinner and got our photo and video teams together to sneak us out for a few moments after dinner. Her eye and attention to every detail of the day are unmatched. My husband and I teared up on our mini moon days later thinking about how much Sonya means to us and what a difference she made. She truly became a friend to us both throughout the 9 months we worked with her. I truly cannot recommend her enough, this was easily the best money spent on any vendor we worked with.
