Raised in a small town in Maine and now living in Vermont, Lissa grew up with music. She began playing fiddle at the age of six, inspired by her mother's interest in folk music. By the time she was in high school Lissa was playing concerts on her own, specializing in music from the Celtic nations. In 2001 she graduated from the New England Conservatory of Music with a degree in Contemporary Improvisation and has been performing world wide ever since. Whether playing interpretations of ancient or contemporary music, Lissa brings enthusiasm and energy to every event.

Formed in 2003 by Jordan Shapiro in Brooklyn, NY, our band brings over 20 years of expertise creating memorable live music moments. We’ve performed at hundreds of events, from concerts and festivals to weddings, kids' birthday parties, and family celebrations--adapting our sound to fit every occasion with heart. Brandon married his wife Daniella in Scotia NY July 2025, and their wedding fell short of the night they had worked so hard to create. That experience completely reshaped their purpose, so the newlyweds kickstarted the business and DJ Boroughz Entertainment was born.
