Patrick Ross

Patrick Ross is a Vermont, VT-based professional who is first and foremost a musician. He has worked over 500 weddings over 20 years. He is a professional violin, fiddle, mandolin, banjo, cello, viola, ukulele and guitar player as well as a vocalist. Ross understands that every celebration is unique and works with couples to suit the atmosphere of the occasion. If there is a specific song in mind, he will gladly and easily learn it. He dedicates himself to delivering the highest level services for couples on their special day. Look for his referrals and reviews! They speak volumes! Book soon because he's always busy during wedding season.

One stop shopping! Patrick provides live music and or DJ services for the whole day. He is a top flight violinist for the ceremony. He plays various acoustic instruments for social hour. He can either perform as a strolling violinist for dinner or transition to DJ and MC for the remainder of the evening. He can also provide his dance band at a premium rate to create a hybrid DJ/dance band. It is the best of both worlds as most couples find it a challenge to decide between a DJ or a live band. They are both!

    The Patrick Ross Band was definitely the correct music option for our wedding! Patrick was personable and very easy to work with. He was quick to respond to our emails and answer all of our questions, and he was very flexible with any changes, even down to the day of the wedding! He and his band were so fun with their music, and I loved that they had a good time, just as much as we did! if I could give more stars I definitely would.

    Patrick played for our daughter's wedding at the Town House in Strafford, Vermont in June of 2023. His band joined him for the outdoor reception at our home nearby. He did a fantastic job of keeping the dance floor going with a mix of music and top notch accompaniment by himself and his band. We loved them so much that we asked them to play at our son's wedding in Lyme, New Hampshire in August of 2025. The music was quietly-beautiful during the ceremonies and energetic, fun, and high-quality for our receptions. Patrick is professional, communicative, and helped us to feel prepared and at-ease on such important days.

    We loved having Patrick play at our wedding!! When we first started thinking about music for our wedding reception, we really wanted the energy of live music (as musicians, ourselves), but felt that a band would be a bit much and often only have limited song catalogs. Patrick was the perfect solution. Like any DJ he played a great mix of our favorite songs, but then on many of them overlaid his own guitar and fiddle on top (“takeovers” as he calls it). Some of our favorite moments were just him jamming along as everyone danced. The drums added even more energy throughout. The dance floor was going the whole night and in the time since our wedding, so many guests told us the music was their favorite part. For our reception, he learned our requests for processional and recessional and played a creative eclectic mix of acoustic music during our cocktail hour. Plus, he was so thoughtful, patient, kind, and helpful during the weeks and months coming up to the wedding. He brings all his own sound equipment and was so patient and receptive even with our neurotic consideration of microphone placement during the ceremony. When we first talked to him, his told us how meaningful weddings are to him and how he truly loves performing at weddings — it could not be any more clear. All-in-all, could not recommend Patrick more!
