She created our full timeline and took over communication with all of our vendors, which was such a huge relief. The level of detail she thought through was incredible—things we never would have considered on our own. Having someone so organized and supportive leading up to the big day relieved so much stress. We had a very DIY wedding, with a lot of moving parts. “We already were committed to our other vendors but found Geoffrey Gilmores’ business for this rental. Despite only utilizing a small portion of the services he can provide, he was incredibly friendly, helpful, considerate and worked beautifully with our florist and day of event coordinator. He stayed for the entire Ceremony, even handed out small fans we had provided ( outdoor Summer ceremony ) as guests arrived. We did a Unity Knot Tying with two pieces of rope and he fashioned them into a heart shape on the ceremony table he had provided. Not only did he provide the Chuppah, but so much more and was just a pleasure to work with. Highly recommend him for all the services he can provide”

Our planner, Katelyn Evans, EXCELLED at: (1) Coordinating and managing our vendors, both local and not-at-all local (2) Understanding our vision and transforming it into reality (3) Navigating the complexities of a South Asian wedding (along with the specific needs for our families) Early on in our wedding planning journey, we got quickly overwhelmed, especially because we were not nearby to our wedding destination. Katelyn hit the ground running with us from day one. She was our boots on the ground, meeting with vendors in person when needed and was an expert in keeping things moving no matter what the action item was, big or small. A few particular difficulties that Katelyn navigated expertly: (1) We struggled to pull together the decor based off our wedding vision. Katelyn realized that one decor vendor was not meeting our needs and worked overtime to pull together an order sheet that pulled decor from multiple vendors that matched our vision perfectly AND cut our decor costs by half. (2) Katelyn accommodated our parents needs down to even the smallest requests, like making sweets available to guests at auspicious moments during the wedding weekend and even helping coordinate dinners outside of the wedding itself. (3) Katelyn pulled together last-minute needs during the wedding weekend without a sweat, such as setting up umbrellas to provide shade during the wedding ceremony or last-minute hotel room booking adjustments. The result was a multi-day South Asian wedding that was even better in real life than we could have dreamed of. Our guests LOVED (1) the decor, (2) the food, and (3) how organized and thoughtful each event was. Throughout the entire wedding journey, Katelyn remained extremely receptive to changes, incredibly attentive to detail, and our biggest friend and advocate.
