I've been doing this for a long time and weddings are a part of my DNA. I grew up with a wedding planner mom, and as a violinist, I had a string quartet that did weddings for about a decade, so I uniquely understand the vendor side of things. I've been described as calm, confident, attentive and available. My goal is to use my experience to bring your vision to life on your wedding day by incorporating personal details and distinctive touches that showcase your unique story and express who you are as a couple.     Incredible Team That Brought Our Vision to Life

    We had an exceptional experience working with Marcea and Natalie for our wedding. From the very beginning, they guided us through every step of the planning process with professionalism, creativity, and genuine care. Their thoughtful vendor recommendations and attention to detail made everything feel seamless and significantly reduced the stress of planning.     Exactly what you need!

    I can’t recommend MG Event Design enough! Marcea and her team made our day go off without a hitch despite several challenges that came up before the weekend. From start to finish Marcea was so helpful and kind and exactly what I needed to execute the wedding day. We elected to have her come in for day-of coordination but I wish we could have elected for month of! I highly suggest carving out space in your budget for coordination and can promise you MG Event Design would be worth every penny. I loved how seamlessly she worked with our vendors and was able to jump in right away. Even if you’re a bride like me who wants to have all the details planned, you still need someone other than yourself who can execute the vision well and fill in the gaps you may not see. She is a true and trusted professional - exactly what you need for one of the biggest days in your life.

    Best Decision Ever!

    MG Event Design was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding. Their communication style was professional, creative, knowledgeable, gracious and extremely helpful throughout the entire planning process. They made sure our day was absolutely perfect, from start to finish. Marcea, the lead planner, had wonderful suggestions for vendors and worked seamlessly with all of them and us to ensure everything was exactly as we had envisioned. She also provided great ideas and suggestions that we hadn't even considered, and took care of all the details on the day of so that we could simply relax and enjoy spending time with our guests. We cannot recommend MG Event Design highly enough - they truly went above and beyond to make our wedding day unforgettable.

    Made our dreams for our wedding day a reality

    Marcea and MG Event Design helped make our dreams for our wedding day a reality. Marcea is extremely organized and professional. She is warm, approachable, and showed that she truly cared about our unique preferences and vision for our wedding day. At all stages of the wedding planning process Marcea was responsive and available if we needed anything at all. Her creative ideas and resourcefulness helped us stay within our budget. On the day of the wedding Marcea and her team ensured that every last detail of our event was executed seamlessly.     Marcea is the Best

    Working with Marcea as our day-of coordinator was one of the best decisions we had for our wedding. She kept us from overwhelming ourselves with her top-notch organization, planning, and creativity. Marcea had checklists, timelines, and reminders provided well before the wedding, and they kept everything on track. Her communication was also on point. Marcea is consistently responsive, and she doesn’t hesitate to call if something needs to be addressed. On the wedding day, she ran a tight ship and was able to keep all wedding traffic smooth (at least from our point of view). Honestly, we didn't think we'd be able to enjoy our wedding nearly as much if it weren't for her. Marcea also has rentable items (table numbers, wedding accessories like flower basket, ceremony background, etc.) if needed, which was a definite plus. The wife and I are extremely grateful to have worked with Marcea and we highly recommend her to anyone looking for an amazing wedding coordinator!!!

While MG Event Design was formed in 2017, I have been involved with weddings and events since I was a kid. My mom was also a wedding planner and I started helping her at a very young age (like 10!). I went on to plan lots of dinners, parties and events for companies, churches and non-profits before deciding to turn my passion for weddings into a business.
If you are looking for a "day-of coordinator", I don't do that. I don't think it's beneficial for either one of us to just talk the last few weeks or months before your wedding, so you have access to me from the moment you sign a contract! I want to make sure all the details are covered and that you can ask questions whenever you like. Let's ease up on the stress if we can!
I have an assistant who works with me most weddings. I also have access to many more who have worked with me over the years. We've got you covered!
Of course! Our packages are always customizable. Some popular add-on's would be a venue search (if you don't yet have one), vendor pre-screening (so you don't have to!), simple centerpieces (we do those!), and design help (my favorite!). If you don't see what you are looking for, just ask!
No! We also love to help with bridal showers, rehearsal dinners, anniversary parties, Christmas parties...let us know what you want!
Yes! Over the years, we have accumulated a nice inventory of items from table numbers to table cloths. Some of our items are rentals, but most are available for no additional cost, exclusively to our clients.
