I cannot say enough great things about Hyla Brook Estate! From the very first virtual tour we took with Kim, we knew it was the perfect place for our March wedding. From start to finish, Kim and the entire team at HBE were communicative, helpful, encouraging, and kind. All my bridesmaids and many guests commented on how well-run everything was the entire day of the wedding. We had a slightly larger guest list for having everything inside, and Kim and her staff executed it all flawlessly. The space itself is STUNNING, and utilizing the Something Borrowed Collection is an insanely great value! I did all my own flowers and they let me get well over a hundred bud vases the day before the wedding. I brought all the vases to the venue filled on the morning of my wedding and Kim and Lindsey did an incredible job laying everything out. Top to bottom the entire process was just so easy. My guests had a great time, we had a great time - what else could you want?? We even got the most beautiful personalized care package from the team - wooden cutting board, soft blanket, candle, tumblers, canvas bag, etc. Thank you so much to Kim, Amanda, Lindsay, the Ashley's, and the entire staff at Hyla Brook Estate!!

Venue considerations

We got married on May 30th, 2026 at The Westbrook Inn and it was everything that we had hoped for in a wedding weekend, and then 100x more than that. The team, the venue, the grounds, the care, the weekend package - every single thing was perfectly run, beautifully executed, and well communicated. We cannot recommend The Westbrook Inn highly enough to any couple looking to have the best weekend of their life. In planning, Marc was exceptionally organized, communicative, and helpful. Once the weekend came, the entire Sirigusa family was so delightful and professional that it became a topic of conversation among many of our guests, who noted how warm everything felt and how much they appreciated the family environment. Specifically with the weekend itself, Marc and Karen were above and beyond anyone’s best hopes. They were on top of every detail, ahead of any potential setback or obstacle, and added to the joy, fun, and energy of it all. There are a million moving parts, and they were moving us through it all fluidly, calmly, and easily. They were so on top of everything that we were able to just breathe and enjoy the day. The grounds, tent, and property were all so beautifully decorated, colorful, warm, and inviting, and because the whole weekend was in one place, it all felt very familial and backyard wedding-y, while being handled and directed by a professional’s professional. The flowers were in bloom, the trees were gorgeous and made it all feel very private and cut off from any noise from the outside world, and the house and tent were just beautiful spaces. As for our weekend package, that was a massive draw - and in retrospect was even better than we had hoped. The convenience of checking in on Friday and not having to leave the property for the entire weekend made everything feel so easy. We were able to even drop off decor with them in advance, so that we had no worries on Friday checking in for the weekend. So many other venues that we looked at required same day drop off because they usually had a wedding the night prior, which felt rushed / stressful. Anything Westbrook can do to alleviate stress, streamline efforts, and reduce burden on the family throughout the weekend - they do it! Everything was so beautiful and well run, we can’t imagine a single thing we would change - and we are so lucky to have had the best weekend of our life here!

Choosing a venue is arguably the most important aspect of celebrating a wedding, and the Stevens Estate is absolutely spectacular. I wouldn't do a single thing differently when it comes to choosing a venue. From our very first tour of the Estate, we knew they were setting the bar both aesthetically and in terms of planning, and no other venue surpassed it! Amy and Helen were extremely helpful during the planning process, providing excellent forms and schedules that guided us through. Because Fireside Catering owns and caters at the venue, everything could be discussed and planned all at once, which was great for us as we were coordinating our wedding out of state. On the day of, Amy, Casey and other staff members were beyond kind and helpful. Everyone was extremely attentive to our needs and it really felt like a luxury experience. Everything was run smoothly and professionally. The fact that they take care of setup and cleanup meant that my husband and I could be excited about celebrating our marriage without thinking about logistics. There are all kinds of backdrops for photos - beautiful forest surrounding the building, gorgeous interiors of the Estate. The food was excellent! All our guests said they had a great time, and the dance floor was packed all night! We seriously could not have asked for a more magical day, and it is all thanks to Amy, Helen, and the team at the Stevens Estate. We are so grateful for all their hard work!

We worked with Styles by Callie and Makeup by Sarah Lord for our August wedding, and they were absolutely wonderful. Sarah went above and beyond during my trial to talk through every detail of the look I wanted. We worked closely together to make sure I would look and feel my best on such an important day. On the wedding day, Sarah and her team provided makeup for a group of bridesmaids and two moms, and everyone received exactly the look they hoped for. Most importantly, our makeup lasted beautifully late into the night. I highly recommend Sarah — she’s incredibly sweet, attentive, and truly makes you feel your best!

Our wedding here was INCREDIBLE and I couldn't recommend it enough. Every single person we worked with was so helpful, kind, and thoughtful and made this process so easy for us. Every single detail was executed perfectly. Every interaction was professional, timely, and warm. For the whole year leading up to our wedding, we felt incredibly supported and cared for. I had so many questions, and the Willowdale team was so prompt, helpful, and kind in their responses. As for the actual wedding, it was a total dream. The food is actually the best food ever... wedding food or not. It's been two months and everyone is still talking about it. The space is GORGEOUS and feels intimate and special while still accommodating larger weddings. Our coordinator, Julia, and the team worked with the florist and all the decor we dropped off ahead of time to execute the design and vision better than I could ever dream up. I was truly shocked when seeing the space - the attention and care to detail was unparallel and so gorgeous. And the BEST PART... On the day of the wedding, there was absolutely nothing to think about or stress about because Julia had it all under control. She communicated throughout the evening and made everything flowed seamlessly. As a result, we really got to just enjoy every single moment of the best day of our lives. All in all... we highly recommend getting married here. I wish we could do it all again. Willowdale and the team are so special. THANK YOU!! PS - the cookies are the best ever.

Glen Magna Farms is an elegant country estate with four restored gardens created during the 144-year occupancy by the Peabody and Endicott families. The estate, named after the Endicott family’s ancestral home in England, is an outstanding example of Colonial Revival architecture and its harmonious union with the landscape. Statuary, urns, fountains and garden pavilions embellish perennial, annual, shrubbery and rose gardens. Once the summer home of the Peabody & Endicott families, Glen Magna Farms is an ideal setting for wedding ceremonies & receptions, photo shoots and other special occasions. The grand Colonial-Revival mansion is nestled on 11 lush acres of a country estate that contain award –winning formal gardens and the Derby Summer House – A National Historic Landmark.

Venue considerations

If I could relive our wedding at Glen Magna Farms, I would 100x over. This venue was everything we wanted and more— it’s such a perfect gem and still somewhat affordable compared to other outdoor venues in New England, especially if you are looking for an outdoor tented option. It has it all— the tent, dancefloor, and tables are already included and so no need to bring in an outdoor rental company. They also only work with one catering company, one of the BEST, Vinwood Catering so that makes things really easy for you to plan and the food and drinks were incredible. I also used their day of coordinator which was great because she helped with timeline and was able to keep things moving. This is an outdoor venue only so keep that in mind there is no indoor backup option however they have a very well thought out and organized rain plan and the sides of the tent go down so regardless of weather you will be fine! We got lucky and had a perfect 75 degree sunny day in early October so the grounds and gardens were a dream. All of our guests said they have never seen a more beautiful venue — and trust me we have been to ALOT of weddings. They let you into the venue two hours before to get dressed and get ready and have photos inside the bridal and groom suite inside the mansion- which is also a dream. I really felt like I was living a fairy tale that day. There are no on site accommodations but do not fret- there are several hotel options very close by! If you are looking for a timeless, romantic, fairytale, garden wedding- LOOK NO FURTHER. BOOK IT!!

Historic, breath taking 4 story barn The farm and barn are about 200 years old, and the barn was originally used for cows. Over the years, it has been very well taken care of, so the original beams are still there, in sizes and shapes that you just can't get anymore! The owners are the third generation in their family to take care of the property and are very grateful to be the current stewards. The barn renovations completed in 2020 and it is all ADA compliant and up to code. In the barn, there is a full sound system, 14 chandeliers, a beautiful live edge bar top, two high end composting toilets (the flushing kind!), massive barn blue doors on each end, and a grand entrance staircase. The barn holds up to 200 people and is big enough that you don't have to rent a tent even with tables and chairs, a major benefit and money saver! In the event of rain, you can use the barn as a ceremony and reception space.

Beverly, MA

  • Starts at $17,000

Originally designed in 1880, Moraine Farm has been hailed as "the finest existing example of Frederick Law Olmsted's approach to planning a country estate" by pre-eminent Olmsted scholar Charles E. Beveridge. Olmsted created lawns, hedges, rustic stone walls, and a magnificent meadow – and collaborated with Boston architects Peabody and Stearns to design a massive stone terrace facing the lake, extending the shingle-and-stone house into the landscape. The farm took its name from a low ridge of glacial debris, called a moraine, which Olmsted used to provide an elevated vantage point for the paths and carriage drives that looped through 75 acres of coniferous forest, passed lake and meadow views, and climbed to an overlook on the edge of the 40-acre farm.

We just had our perfect wedding at Moraine Farm and it could not have been more perfect. I wish I could go back and re-live it over and over again! The coordinator, Laura, was awesome and all our guests are still talking about how beautiful of a venue it was. The incredible food was also a huge plus :) We will forever look back at our wedding and smile. Huge thank you to everyone at Moraine and Fireside Catering that pitched in to help out on our day!

The Barn at Gibbet Hill
Rating: 5.0 (1 review)
Groton, MA
  • Up to 200 guests
  • Select services
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $15,000

Set in a beautifully renovated and restored 100-year old barn overlooking rolling hills of conservation land, the Barn at Gibbet Hill is one of New England’s most unique venues for weddings and special events. The Barn offers rustic elegance with unparalleled views. The first wedding at The Barn at Gibbet Hill took place in 2002 when Jed and Asia’s fantastic outdoor wedding plans got rained out. Back then the Barn was completely unrenovated – hay bales were moved to the edge of the room and the tractor had to be parked outside so a makeshift wedding aisle could be made. After witnessing the undeniable magic of that day, the idea to transform the Barn into a permanent wedding venue began to take hold. Two years later, after a massive renovation of the Barn was completed, The Barn officially opened for business. And two years after that, CBS-4 crowned the Barn the best wedding venue in the Boston Area!

Why you'll love this venue

  • Provides a dedicated team on-site
  • Full catering menu to choose from
  • Rustic charm with elegance

Venue considerations

  • Large venue, not ideal for small guest lists
  • No free parking
  • No on-site guest accommodations
We found the Barn when searching for an all-inclusive yet customizable venue (so our wedding would feel like us), with good food and staff that would make the day feel seamless. LGBTQ friendly was a must. Ultimately, we’re so grateful we picked Gibbet Hill! Furthermore, having a daytime celebration allowed us to have the wedding we wanted within our budget. Overall, the Barn’s team was genuinely invested in making our vision come to life, and they more than delivered on our big day. From our very first intake and tour, we knew we were in good hands. Our planner, Bree, was with us from the beginning, answering every question with warmth and confidence that immediately put us at ease. Throughout the planning process she was professional, responsive, and just fun to work with. We also picked many of the Barn’s preferred vendors, who all spoke highly of one another so it was clear they had great experience and flow as a cross-vendor team. On the day itself, the entire Barn staff operated with a calming efficiency that made everything feel effortless. They had a grounding presence that kept us on track without ever making us feel rushed and that tone made an enormous difference. Our top notch team, including Bree, Sarah, Jess, and so many other amazing staff also helped with our dresses, carried our trains, drove us in a golf cart for photos, and took wonderful care of our guests throughout the reception (who commented on how well they were looked after). We even found out afterward that the team had helped our flower girl tend to a wasp sting during the festivities. That kind of attentiveness speaks volumes. Any issue that arose they handled with utmost professionalism. Also, the food was fantastic and we STILL get so many compliments from guests! Our personal goal as the couple was to enjoy the food and that we did. One highlight for us was also the “reserved for newlyweds” appetizer plate brought to us in the bridal suite. Such a thoughtful touch. We cannot recommend The Barn, Bree, and the entire team highly enough. If you’re looking for a venue where you’ll feel genuinely cared for from the first conversation to the final exit, this is the place. Thank you so much to the staff at the Barn at Gibbet Hill for making our wedding so special!

While dating my now wife, I used to drive past Olio every time I came to Peabody and knew from the start that it would be the home of our future wedding. The time came and we immediately scheduled our tour and fell in love. We knew we needed a special venue since our flower girl is in a wheelchair and Olio shocked us by being not only fully accessible but also so willing to accommodate our needs. Sarah helped us envision the reception and ceremony of our dreams during the walk through and we got straight to work! Olio provided a comprehensive vendor list but also allowed us the ability to bring in a few personal vendors as well making the process simple and also very customizable. Through Sarah we learned about her day of coordination service, Without a Hitch, and they truly lived up to their name! Ashley was an absolute icon and kept us on track through out the planning process and then made the day of entirely effortless for my wife and I. Our families can not speak more highly of the natural beauty of the space and also the amazing team. We can’t recommend Olio highly enough and can’t wait to spread the word about this amazingly LGBTQ and disability friendly venue.

My now wife and I were searching high and low for a wedding venue that would be something different than the typical wedding cookie cutter experience. We wanted a venue that was like no other and that our family and friends fell in love with. We came across The Bell Inn and it was truly the greatest find. The beautifully restored historical property locally located in a beautiful north shore city was truly a gem to find. The inn is so picturesque and also located steps away from downtown Peabody which provided even more beautiful backgrounds for photographs. As if the gorgeous property that photographs beautifully wasn’t enough, the food is superb, and the staff is incredibly accommodating, kind and go above and beyond. Every request and inquiry we made was met with a smile that exceeded my wife and I’s expectations. The moment we walked through the door we knew that this was the place we wanted to get married at. It is truly the perfect venue because it is one stop shop. My wife and I checked in on Friday afternoon to one of the ten picturesque suites. Each suite was meticulously clean and beautifully decorated which paid homage to the history of the building. We had our delicious rehearsal dinner which all of the guests raved about. We then enjoyed our dream wedding in the outdoor courtyard, with a menu my wife and I hand picked with the Inn manager’s help. Shout out to Heather who is simply the best! To finish the evening we were able to host our after party in the speakeasy. The next morning we had a delicious brunch to end the dream weekend. Everyone has not stoped talking about our wedding, including us. The rooms, the tavern, the courtyard, the speakeasy, are all the space you need! We love the Bell Inn and can’t wait to return for date nights, anniversaries, and to one day bring our children. The Bell Inn isn’t a place to us they became a family.

From the moment we first reached out to the team at Long Hill, their communication was fast, helpful, hands-on and incredibly kind. They truly went above and beyond to ensure our wedding day was like something out of a fairytale. The venue itself was a picturesque garden, with an ethereal, storybook feel that made our special day feel like it was straight out of a dream. The staff helped us navigate all the timing and logistics, and were especially thoughtful in how they handled the dynamics of our large, blended family. Helena, the event coordinator, was a true gem - she provided invaluable guidance on the floor plans and decor that helped bring our vision to life. From start to finish, the Long Hill team made our wedding day perfect, and I would highly recommend them to any couple looking for a truly magical experience.

I attended a wedding vow renewal at/in Black Craft Salem's haunt. We all walked down the "aisle" which was the actual haunt. We followed the "bride and groom" throughout the haunt to the very end where the actual ceremony took place. There were beautiful glowing candles everywhere and the lighting was perfect. The BCS crew was very nice and made us all feel welcomed. I have NEVER been to a ceremony as thrilling, fun and terrifyingly beautiful as this one. I could not get over the atmosphere it was McCabe and, exciting and eerie at the same time.... I felt like I was on a movie set. . EVERYONE who loves Halloween, horror and haunts in general needs to have every type of ceremony in this venue - NOT just weddings and vow renewals. BORAH! was the officiant and was the funniest thing ever, she roasted the couple and made us laugh so hard we neven shed a few tears. Thank you BCS for hosting such a remarkable space for this ceremony. I will be booking my wedding at Black Craft if I ever decide to tie the knot.

Cambridge Boat Club
Rating: 5.0 (1 review)
CAMBRIDGE, MA
  • Up to 120 guests
  • Raw space
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $4,000

Cambridge Boat Club is a social and rowing club, located on the banks of the Charles River overlooking Eliot Bridge. Originally built in 1909, CBC was picked up in its entirety and rolled upstream to its current location in 1947, to make room for the building of Memorial Drive. Featuring vaulted ceilings and dark exposed beams akin to a ski chalet, and double french doors opening to a full length veranda, CBC offers a unique, rustic setting for any event.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Multiple event spaces
  • Raw space for complete customization
  • Has a dance floor to dance the night away

Venue considerations

  • Does not allow pets
  • No on-site guest accommodations
  • Couple must handle cleanup and setup
The Cambridge Boat Club was the perfect choice for our New England fall-themed wedding! It is an absolutely gorgeous location on the river with just the right amount of historic charm. We had originally considered going with all-inclusive venues, but ultimately opted for the flexibility we had with the CBC to craft our own vision. The venue features two distinct rooms, a larger room called the Drinkwater room, which can be used for the wedding dinner, the Club Room, which was used for cocktail hour and the dance floor, and a porch, which has a stunning view. The layout perfectly accommodated both the party enthusiasts and our more introverted guests, who preferred quieter spaces for rest and socialization away from the dance floor. Opting for this venue requires a more DIY approach compared to all-inclusive options. Since it is a historic building, there are some restrictions to be aware of, e.g. no sparklers or ceiling drapery, and existing wall decor generally need to stay on the wall. This was no issue for us since we had a clear vision for the wedding theme and decor, and enlisted the help of Tastings Catering (highly recommend, since they have previous experience working in this space and also handle some of the decor) and Designlight. Major shoutout to Katie Donnelly, the club manager at Cambridge Boat Club, who always responded in record time to all our inquiries and provided helpful guidance. With everyone's help, we were able to create the wedding of our dreams!

We had a wonderful wedding at the Nahant Country Club. Yasmene and Heather were great to work with and our wedding ran incredibly smoothly. The venue itself is beautiful and unique, our guests had a great time. The prices are incredibly reasonable and we additionally received an off season discount. Their wedding packages include so much beyond the standard wedding packages including the use of the bridal suite, appetizers/champagne in the bridal suite on the wedding day, use of their (beautiful) centerpieces, a separate happy hour for the wedding party during photographs and much more. Yasmene went above and beyond on our wedding day- she even sewed my nephew's superhero mask when it broke. Many of our guests commented on how she was the best wedding coordinator they had ever seen. Overall, we are incredibly happy with our selection of the Nahant Country Club. It is a beautiful venue run by incredibly efficient and kind women!

The Multicultural Arts Center was a beautiful venue for our wedding ceremony and reception! We had our ceremony outdoors in the courtyard just outside the building, and the staff helped us to get the permits to use the courtyard, helped to set up microphones for the ceremony, and also helped work with us on a backup plan to have the ceremony indoors in case it had rained on our wedding day. The courtyard is a charming spot with trellises and greenery and is surrounded by classic-looking New England buildings. Adria and Taylor on the staff were extremely helpful in helping us plan our reception: they answered our many questions and let us rehearse in the venue so that we could figure out how we wanted to lay out the space. The theater hall was an amazing place to have our reception: we especially loved the balcony and the design of the ceiling, and there was plenty of room for a little over 100 guests, buffet tables, a DJ, and a dance floor. The venue was also a really convenient location for our guests - it's close to the T and has several nearby hotels. Would highly recommend!

We feel beyond lucky to have chosen Hampshire House to celebrate the most important day of our lives. From the very first photo I saw of the venue, I instantly fell in love.I could immediately envision everyone we love gathered in that warm, elegant space, celebrating together in a way that felt both intimate and timeless. It perfectly captured the spirit of what we dreamed for our wedding: a meaningful gathering with family, friends, and mentors. From the beginning of our planning journey, Victoria was truly exceptional. Her responsiveness was lightning-fast (even when I packed a dozen questions into a single email!), and she was consistently calm, cheerful, and organized through the often chaotic planning process. I’ll never forget how welcomed we felt when we met her in person for the first time at our tasting. Her kindness, professionalism, and flexibility gave me instant peace of mind that everything on the big day would be taken care of—and it was, and more. Victoria went above and beyond to accommodate every one of our needs, no matter how small, and her quiet support meant everything when other parts of the planning felt unpredictable. She took detailed notes, followed through on every ask, and always made me feel like our wedding truly mattered to her. On the wedding day itself, Victoria, Lindsay, and Elissa (apologies if I spelled any names wrong!) were absolute stars. These three incredible women were everywhere—effortlessly managing logistics, adjusting details on the fly, and doing it all with radiant smiles. They handled so many things I could see—setting up our escort card table to look pristine, subtly hiding visual clutter to keep the space beautiful, helping adjust the tone of the pianist’s music to match the mood, even helping us with tech like setting up my phone for the playlist—and I’m sure there were dozens more things they did that we didn’t even notice. That’s the thing about the team at Hampshire House: they care as deeply and attentively as we did. They treated our wedding as something truly meaningful, not just another event on the calendar. Every detail was cared for, not just the obvious ones, but even the ones we didn’t know to think about. Hampshire House made us feel so seen, so supported, and so celebrated. We will remember their kindness, effort, and magic forever:)

I was originally anti-hotel wedding. "How boring, how cookie cutter," I thought. Then I toured OPH on a whim once I realized I was priced out of my dream Boston venues - I was pleasantly surprised. Though renovations had not taken place yet, I could see what a historic, old-school Boston charm the place had. The pricing was also extremely reasonable by Boston standards (though I don't know how much they've changed since I booked in summer 2024) and included so much - dinner, open bar, cake, etc. I would be remiss if I didn't compliment Julie (who had since moved on) who really sealed the deal - her warm and friendly demeanor made it easy to imagine working with her. All of the other banquet and events staff I worked with (Latchman, Marshall, etc.) were equally lovely. OPH events staff really go above and beyond, they manage your event from start to finish, set up decor, and are super friendly and communicative. From what I understand, most venue coordinators are simply there to unlock the doors and make sure the food goes out, but the folks at OPH make it possible to have no or limited day-of coordination services from an outside vendor. The renovations have made this hotel and its event spaces even more beautiful, without over-modernizing. It still feels old-school, but just brighter and well-taken care of. The food was incredible (guests were raving), and while that wasn't a priority for me, it was a wonderful bonus. The city views from the ballroom are incredible. Only minor inconveniences to keep in mind: the hotel is OLD - so the freight elevator is small (some vendors had difficulty loading in/out), the wiring is finicky (the electricity in our suite went out a few times while getting ready, though it was restored quickly), and the fire codes are fairly strict (no taper candles, even with hurricane glasses). For me, these were hardly even issues, but it may be good to know. I can't say enough good things about OPH, I think it's a really underrated and lesser-known venue that people who want a downtown Boston wedding should consider!
