    Best Day of My Life!!!

    From our first conversation with The Commons 1854, we knew we'd made the right choice. Their team responded right away to every question and made planning feel stress-free instead of overwhelming. On our wedding day, coordinator Paige was everywhere we needed her to be—keeping our timeline on track, making sure our guests had cold drinks during cocktail hour, and ensuring we actually got to sit down and enjoy our entrees. The venue itself is stunning, but what really blew our guests away was the food; several people told us it was the best wedding meal they'd ever had, and the filet rivaled any steakhouse. We loved that The Commons includes their planner as part of the package, so we didn't have to hire someone outside. Everything felt seamless, and honestly, we wouldn't change a single thing about our day.

    exceeded expectations

    The Commons 1854 was the perfect venue for our wedding. The venue itself was absolutely beautiful. The food was also incredible - our guests raved about the quality (most saying it's the only wedding meal they've actually enjoyed!). The entire staff was incredibly professional and kind, helping to keep the pace of the wedding going seamlessly. Paige, our coordinator, in particular was so thoughtful and attentive throughout the day, making sure everything ran smoothly, and bride and groom always had drinks and food. We are so grateful to the team at The Commons 1854 for helping to make our special day truly unforgettable.

    I had an event at The Commons 1854. Everything went without a hitch! Our guests were so impressed with the beauty of the venue and especially the meal. The staff went above and beyond to make our event a huge success. I could be happier!

Our peak wedding season begins in August, when our breathtaking hydrangeas come into full bloom, creating a timeless backdrop of crisp white elegance throughout the property. As the season transitions into the beautiful New England fall months, the hydrangeas gradually transform into rich mauve tones, bringing warmth, romance, and the charm of autumn to every celebration. From late summer through October, our grounds offer a naturally stunning setting that captures the beauty of each season, making it one of the most sought-after times of year for weddings.
Our off-season wedding months, from January through May, offer couples a beautiful and intimate setting no matter the weather. Our fully climate-controlled venue provides comfort year-round, with elegant indoor ceremony options available throughout the winter months inside our stunning timeless ballroom. As spring arrives, our grounds begin to bloom, allowing couples the opportunity to transition into outdoor ceremonies surrounded by the beauty of the season. No matter the season, our venue offers a romantic and versatile backdrop designed to make every celebration unforgettable.
Our venue offers convenient on-site parking with easy access for all of your wedding guests, making arrival seamless for your celebration. Clearly marked signage throughout the property helps guests easily navigate to the designated parking area, while our on-site staff will be available to warmly welcome and assist guests with any questions upon arrival. We strive to create a smooth and stress-free experience from the moment your guests arrive at the venue.
Our venue is committed to providing a comfortable and accessible experience for all guests. We offer handicap-accessible facilities throughout the property, including wheelchair-accessible entrances and ramps for easy navigation. For guests who are unable to use the stairs, a chair lift is also available to ensure convenient access to all areas of the venue. Our goal is to make every guest feel welcomed and accommodated while celebrating your special day.
To comply with our in-house liquor license and ensure the safety of all guests, outside alcohol is not permitted at the venue. Our venue is fully equipped with professional, ServSafe-certified bartenders who are experienced in providing exceptional service throughout your celebration. We offer a variety of customizable bar packages designed to suit your wedding style, preferences, and budget, allowing you to create the perfect beverage experience for your guests while enjoying a seamless and professionally managed bar service.
Our wedding venue rental includes five hours of exclusive event time, including your on-site ceremony and reception. Couples are also granted access to the venue two hours prior to the ceremony, allowing plenty of time for bridal party photos, getting ready moments, and capturing memories before guests arrive. To ensure a personalized and intimate experience, we proudly host only one wedding per day, giving you exclusive access to the property and our full attention throughout your celebration. Additional time may also be added to your wedding day to further customize your experience and allow you to celebrate at your own pace.
The support of an on-site CWP to help your day run seamlessly from start to finish. We provide satin ivory linens, gold Chiavari chairs, china, flatware, and glassware to create a sophisticated setting. Our dedicated on-site staff will handle the full setup and breakdown of all included items, allowing you and your guests to relax and fully enjoy every moment of your special day. We offer all in-house catering services and do not use outside catering companies. Every menu item is thoughtfully prepared from scratch by our executive chefs, ensuring exceptional quality, freshness, and a personalized dining experience for you and your guests.
