“We booked John with Power Play Entertainment for our wedding and are extremely happy we did. We did a lot of research into DJs during the planning process as we knew it was an important role and could mean the difference between a fun wedding and an awkward one. From the moment we talked to John on our initial call, we knew he was the right fit for us. Aside from reception music, John covered music at the ceremony and cocktail hour, microphones and sound for us and our officiant, lighting for our reception, and a custom monogram that turned out amazing. We had a few special requests from our processional song, to passing out glow sticks and other favors, to having a surprise musical guest for the father daughter dance and all were managed great by John. John brought along Guy as his assistant/our second DJ and he was amazing as well. Both were ready to make sure we had everything we needed for the entire day and were professional with how they handled everything. At the end of the day, John kept everything going smoothly from the ceremony to the reception, he was a great emcee, played everything we wanted to hear, and most importantly he kept everyone dancing all night long. When the music had to stop at the end of the night, the dance floor was still completely full and no one wanted it to end. He did a great job announcing the events of the night, made sure that our ceremony music was perfect, and he stuck to our wedding playlist with the exception for a couple guest requests (which we were happy to allow). “We can’t recommend Chris Ward (The Other Wedding DJ) highly enough! From the very first meeting, he was an absolute pleasure to work with: professional, easygoing, and genuinely passionate about creating an unforgettable experience. The dance party was one of the parts of our wedding I was most looking forward to (besides actually getting married, of course), and Chris completely delivered. We built out our song preferences for each part of the night using the Vibo app, which made the process fun and incredibly easy. Chris has just about every song imaginable in his library. And if he doesn’t, he’ll find it. He was even able to edit songs to fit perfectly for our parent dances, which was such a thoughtful touch. He also handled the ceremony sound setup for a small additional (and very fair) charge, and everything sounded flawless from start to finish. Chris gave us the freedom to express ourselves through our music and MC preferences, but when it came time to keep the energy flowing, he took charge and executed our vision perfectly. But for the cocktail hour, which would take place outside on a large terrace with spectacular views, we needed something very special and elegant.
