“Justing was a fantastic DJ! We gave him a short list of must-plays then let him do the rest, and he was great at reading the room and playing what the people wanted. He took requests from guests if they fit the vibe and was totally okay saying no too which is exactly what we wanted. We even had some guests asking for his playlist before the night was over. He brought tons of speakers and lights, and even some wireless speakers to play the same music in multiple rooms, including outside on the deck for cocktail hour. Everything went off without a hitch. We also got the photo booth add-on which ended up getting a ton of use and people loved it. Sawyer was manning the booth and 5 stars to him as well!”

He played a great acoustic set that all our guests loved--including my parents who were able to take at least one song off from wedding day duties. Chris MC'd the night flawlessly and worked with the other vendors to make everything go so smoothly. He followed up dessert with some rocking DJ skills to get everyone on the dance floor. “Overall, we had a good experience with our DJ. He arrived on time, was professional throughout the evening, and kept our guests on the dance floor for most of the night. The music flowed well, and everyone seemed to have a great time. That said, I did spend a lot of time carefully selecting songs that were meaningful to us, and I was a little disappointed that many of those selections weren't played. Some of our requested songs were included, but I had hoped more of our playlist would be incorporated into the evening. The only other issue was that, just before our grand exit, he approached us to mention that he hadn't received enough food. We had paid for a vendor meal for him, so I wasn't sure what had happened, and it didn't feel like the best time to bring it up while we were in the middle of such a special moment. Despite those concerns, he was friendly, punctual, and our guests clearly enjoyed themselves. If having a lively dance floor is your top priority, he does a good job creating a fun atmosphere.”

We used Bright Set for our wedding at Mountain View Grand in May 2026 and hired them for our DJ, photo booth, ceremony and reception audio, and piano music. From the very beginning, Cassandra was incredible to work with. We spent over a year planning together, and she was organized, responsive, detail-oriented, and always willing to hop on a call, answer questions, or help think through ideas. One thing that really stood out was how invested Cassandra was in making sure everything ran smoothly. She wasn't just someone behind the scenes coordinating logistics — she was actually onsite for our wedding day and felt like part of our team. Unfortunately, we experienced an unexpected fire alarm interruption immediately following our first dance that temporarily paused our reception and forced guests outside. Cassandra, alongside our day-of coordinator, immediately jumped into problem-solving mode. When we were finally able to return to the ballroom, she creatively had us reintroduced to "Fire Burning" by Sean Kingston, which turned a stressful situation into a funny and memorable moment that had everyone laughing. We were so grateful for her ability to stay calm, think quickly, and help keep the energy positive. DJ Dennis was fantastic and kept the dance floor packed all night. He did an amazing job reading the room and creating a fun atmosphere for guests of all ages. The photo booth was a huge hit as well. Guests loved the glow booth and the customized photo overlay, and we ended up with so many great keepsakes from the night. Entertainment-wise, everything was seamless. The ceremony audio, microphones, piano music, reception flow, DJ services, and photo booth were all executed beautifully. Also I appreciate that he read and followed through with all the small notes we left for him (specifically we asked for father/daughter, mother/son and first dance to end after the chorus and not play the entire 3-4 minutes). “We’ve been big fans of the O-Tones for many years. We wanted to hire the full six-piece band, but our small venue -an outdoor pavilion-could not accommodate that. Mary Witt, band leader and outstanding vocalist, suggested a duo, herself on bass and guitarist John Caban. Their repertoire included swing, R&B, classic rock and soul. They were very flexible and professional. We chose as our first dance the Etta James classic “At Last”. (We are in our 70’s!!!) Mary and John’s rendition was moving and a bit sultry - just perfect for us. Their ability to read the crowd and go with our flow added so much to the fun and the warmth of our special day!”

Personally, we have worked with Jay for our company events as well as our own family celebrations over the last few years. He reads the room, knows exactly how to keep the crowd going and seeing him behind his booth with his giant smile makes him a huge part of the celebration. We always hear compliments and rave reviews from our guests after a party with Jay. Half of our family is hispanic and is always requesting the latin hits, and he always delivers! He was the least stressful vendor to book, I remember meeting him at an Expo and later talking on the phone, his energy was just so on par, made the process so fun and exciting which can typically be quite stressful! We got so many compliments after the wedding about the DJ, the music selection was awesome! The up lighting really pulled the entire venue together, the sound was fantastic, song requests were seamless and the glow sticks were an added touch of fun!!
