Experienced & professional
Main Event Entertainment LLC was an excellent choice for our DJ. From the beginning, their communication was effective, prompt, and incredibly helpful. Kevin Sawler, our DJ, was very professional, experienced, and energetic in his approach. He asked us to provide a list of songs and artists we liked to help guide his music choices, and he definitely paid attention to those details - the choices were absolutely perfect. Kevin was also very accommodating and flexible. We wanted a specific playlist played at a certain part of the night and he followed through seamlessly. He also had some great song suggestions for introductions and parent dances. He kept the crowd engaged all night long and the dance floor was filled the entire time! We couldn't have asked for a better entertainment experience on our special day. Thank you so much, Kevin!
Professional, Fun, and Crowd-Pleasing
We hired Main Events for our wedding, and Mike Benoit was our DJ. From the start, Mike was incredibly professional, responsive, and easy to work with. He went above and beyond by editing our first dance song exactly how we wanted, and he was flexible and receptive to changes even after our final meeting. On the wedding day, we received so many compliments from our guests on the music and the energy. He even helped keep our reception timeline on track when catering ran behind, which we really appreciated. The only downsides were that the music was censored despite us choosing the “let it rip” option in his planning document (we had no kids present, so it felt unnecessary), and several of the songs we specifically requested as a couple weren’t played. Mike did check in with us toward the end and squeezed in one more from our list, but about half of our requested songs didn’t make it onto the dance floor. Overall, Mike brought a great vibe, was very professional, and kept our party moving. With just a bit more attention to those final details, it would have been a perfect 5/5.

I’m glad to hear the energy, timeline management, and custom edits helped make the night special. I do want to acknowledge your feedback on music choices. Even with the “let it rip” option, I still sometimes need to use some clean edits depending on the version available, and I’ll work on making that clearer upfront. As for requests, my goal is always to balance the couple’s list with reading the room within the time constraints but I’ll certainly keep refining that process so even more favorites make it in. Main Event was so easy to work with! For our wedding, we had Lloyd Mnaphi as our DJ/MC, and he was amazing. He took the time to do multiple calls with us, ensured proper pronunciation for the challenging names in our party, and even adapted to a last minute speech, seamlessly making an impromptu addition to the run of show. The dance floor was full from the second it opened until the night ended, and Lloyd’s music choice, flow, and mixing abilities helped make it possible. We can’t recommend Lloyd and Main Event enough!

Hayden was an absolute pleasure to work with! He was so excited to be a part of our celebration and really kept the party going. One of my Aunts, who has attended dozens of weddings, proms, and school dances, is still raving about him and his style. What a great asset and fit! Wish we could rewind and do it all again!
