La Bella & The Beat
I’m Jay and I'm the owner of La Bella and The Beat. I spend my weekends entertaining, celebrating and partying with some of the best people I’ve ever met. Music has always been a passion of mine--from my boombox days in 1st grade, playing for whoever would listen from my neighborhood driveway, to when my DJing side hustle of 13 years became my full-time career in 2018. I’m a versatile mobile DJ serving New Hampshire, Maine, and Massachusetts (or really anywhere looking for a party). For the past decade, I’ve been rocking events all across New England. No my adventures even take the parties abroad.
I have a genuine respect for music and a passion for sharing sounds as an experience for listeners. Human-to-human connection is what it's all about for me and I love it when clients become friends. The better I get to know my people, the better their events can be. If music is a top priority for your next private event or wedding, I am confident that we are going to get along– and have serious fun along the way.

Stop looking and book Jay now
We had a very high bar for what we wanted for the music and dance floor for our wedding and Jay exceeded our expectations in every way. From the very beginning, he took the time to get to know us not just as clients, but as people… what we’re into, what kind of energy we wanted for our day, and how we wanted everything to feel. He created custom cuts of the “big moment” songs for us and even had a mic ready for when my husband decided he wanted to “spontaneously” perform a song. Our taste in music is eclectic and not necessarily the stuff you would usually hear at weddings but he crushed it by blending and mixing all of our faves with the surefire wedding dance floor hits so there was a little something for everyone while still feeling 100% like “us.” The dance floor was probably the most bumping one I’ve seen since my college days. Jay’s lighting setup transformed the space, and once the dancing started, the energy was unstoppable. The biggest compliment I can give: Jay got all my uncles out on the dance floor, absolutely tearing it up like I’ve never seen before! Jay went above and beyond by being there for our rehearsal, making sure every cue, transition, and announcement would run smoothly. On the day of the wedding, he coordinated with the wedding planner, venue, caterers, and photographer to make sure we didn’t miss a beat while we partied our hearts out. Jay is the guy if you’re looking for someone who genuinely cares, brings professionalism and fun in equal measure, and knows how to get everyone moving.

WE LOVE La Bella and the Beat!! My husband(!) and I worked with Jay to bring an entire weekend of events to life. We were completely confident and at ease trusting Jay to create the right energy for each unique event, from the Rehearsal Dinner, to Day at the Lake, to our Welcome Dinner, to all the events of our wedding day. Jay was well-prepared through a series of fun video calls to get to know us, a detailed questionnaire site (that we could refer back to and add/change answers), song recommendations and our "must plays", and his experience with every type of music and knowing how to really read a room. Jay is SO thoughtful, intentional, genuinely interested in you and your partner, and a complete joy to work and communicate with. He became an unexpected and wonderful friend and supporter. Also his song transitions were smooth, exciting, and appeared effortless. Everything about Jay, his DJ setup, and anything he said on the mic was extremely professional. He made our dance floor the epic and unforgettable party that it was!!

Jay was incredible to work with from start to finish! We booked Jay more than a year out from our wedding and he remained communicative with us from contract signed through the wedding day. He went above and beyond, even recommending some of his favorite other vendors to work with and helping us picture how music ties into the bigger timeline and vibe of the day. Jay took the time to understand my husband and I’s individual music tastes and incorporated them beautifully into the wedding. The party was nonstop through the reception and our friends were all raving about the music being the best representation of us as a couple! Can’t recommend Jay as a DJ enough!

Jay was the absolute best DJ for our wedding! We moved our wedding up unexpectedly for a family matter, and Jay was not only accommodating, but really went the extra mile for us! Our wedding was a blast and everyone has talked about how awesome the music was! Jay kept the dance floor going all night with fun and unique mixes of well known songs that kept the energy high. He also made sure to add such personal touches, throwing in our favorite artists during cocktail hour, really making the experience so personalized. If you're looking for a DJ who can keep the party going and you just know you won't have to worry about, look no further! Best of the best!
