Sylvanside Farm was our first and only venue visit for our daughter’s wedding. The beautiful grounds and historical buildings on the farm made it an easy decision for us all. The owners, Terri and Jeff, have restored their property with utmost respect to its historical charm. Having on site lodging allowed both families to spend quality time together and hosting the rehearsal dinner on site made for an all around relaxing weekend. The curated list of preferred vendors, which Sylvanside provides, was very helpful and each vendor that we selected from their list was top notch. Terri and Jeff were very accommodating and responsive throughout the planning process and I highly recommend their venue for your special day.

Absoluetly LOVED this venue! The moment I first stepped on the property, I fell in love and *knew* this was the place my husband and I were going to get married. Angela and her staff set everything up just the way I wanted it, and it went so smoothly! There are *so* many different options of locations to have the ceremony. Due Sorelle provides plenty of tables and chairs, and the staff will set them up for you - one less thing for you to have to worry about on your big day! I also loved that we had access to the barn the night before the wedding so I could set up the reception and not have to worry about finding someone to do that the morning of. Angela was a bit confusing to communicate with at times? Just some random things here and there - asking for details, scheduling things, and some either miscommunication or lack thereof. She was super sweet! I had just wished the communication process were a little smoother. Overall I loved Due Sorelle and would absolutely recommend it to anyone!

Guildford Farm was an absolute dream venue for our wedding! From the moment we first inquired, Katie and Jonny were incredibly efficient, detailed, warm, and welcoming in their communication. They were so professional throughout the entire planning process, and truly went above and beyond to ensure our day was perfect. From the manor home, to the ceremony overlooking the mountains, to the clean and vibrant event center, the venue itself is absolutely beautiful and provided the perfect backdrop for our special day. Not only is the property stunning, but having access to the entire venue for the whole weekend made the experience unforgettable. Our guests are still talking and asking about this breathtaking venue! Another perk was being able to stay in the manor home with our closest people, wake up on-site, and get ready there. This added such a special, relaxed, and intimate feeling to the celebration. It truly felt like our own private estate for the weekend. From our final walkthrough, allowing us to bury a bottle of bourbon (perfect weather!), capturing all the final details, and making sure every moment was accounted for (Katie literally sent us beautiful last minute moments of our wedding day that we will cherish forever), Katie and Jonny went above and beyond. We cannot recommend Guildford Farm enough - they truly made our wedding day and weekend unforgettable!

Julie, Scott, and their team made our wedding day perfect. From the first site visit and throughout the planning process, they were amazing communicators. The venue has gorgeous outdoor spaces for the ceremony and cocktail reception. The indoor space is flexible for a reception with a dance floor. There are chairs for both the ceremony and reception as well as tables. We chose to have a June wedding and when the temps entered the upper 90s, we were grateful for the A/C reception space. Even better, there are two suites that the wedding party can use to make for a seamless process getting ready. We enjoyed our experience so very much. Lastly, the bathrooms there were also excellent and let’s be real, that’s a crucial component for any good party.

Josh and Tiffany and the team at Lydias were phenomenal leading up to the day and on the day! They graciously allowed us to visit the venue multiple times to make sure that all of our information was straight and decided upon. We were luckily able to have almost all of the lodge rooms booked up along with a couple of cabins which made the whole weekend even better! Everything that would be needed for a wedding is provided, ceremony chairs, an arbor, reception tables and chairs, and even centerpieces! Having an in house catering team is also a huge plus and one less vendor we had to do research on. Having a bridal suite on site was critical so that we could have enough space and not have to worry about transportation. I would recommend this venue over and over again for any event!

The Barn at Tiffin Farm was an absolute delight to work with for our wedding. The owners were incredibly responsive, kind, and easy to collaborate with throughout the entire planning process. The venue itself is absolutely stunning - the large barn doors open up to reveal a beautiful rustic space with breathtaking scenery all around. The bridal suite is especially impressive, with a luxurious and calming atmosphere. On the night of our wedding, when a storm rolled in at the end of the night, the owner even went out of his way to personally drive guests to their cars in his golf cart to keep everyone dry. We set up the ceremony chairs for our couples as well as the tables and chairs for the reception area before you arrive for your wedding day to reduce stress. Any decor items you need are set up by us such as shepherd hooks, easels, signs and much more. We also include lawn games and we have a firepit for use to add extra ambience. Best part we are across the road from the nearest hotel so guests can walk to our venue AND up to 18 guests can sleep over at Greenock for the whole weekend - so many more happy memories. We had an incredible experience having our wedding at Greenock Manor. We decided a small, 25 person micro-wedding was what we wanted and could afford and Chanel & Jim pulled it off flawlessly and threw everything they had into making sure our day was as magical as possible. From beginning to end Chanel made sure we knew what was happening, kept all our needs and requests in mind and created such a welcoming and beautiful atmosphere during the ceremony & reception. We recommend everyone we know to go here if you’re looking for the perfect wedding! My family kept saying how incredibly impressed they were with Greenock’s beauty and Chanel’s charisma and hostess abilities! Together Chanel and Jim make a dream team, Chanel orchestrated the whole event while Jim officiated and DJ’ed - it wasn’t easy either with a guest list full of non-English speaking family as well! The wedding suite was also the highlight of the night, it was so nice to just finally kick off our shoes in the end without anything to worry about and soak in the jacuzzi to melt our worries away! Chanel’s recommendations for vendors was the best as well, the catering (onsite next door!) was out of this world on top of it all!

I have had the privilege of shooting 2 separate events in The Depot's event spaces, and I hope to return for more. Each space within the depot is thoughtfully designed with beautiful details, making it the perfect backdrop for any special celebration. I typically try to avoid indoor venues due to a general lack of quality lighting/backdrop opportunities as a photographer, but I have loved every minute that I've worked at The Depot. Everywhere you look presents a new backdrop opportunity, and the spaces are filled with ample natural light during the daytime. We used the Kimpton The Forum Hotel for our wedding weekend and it was a DREAM. By far the nicest accommodations available in the Charlottesville area, and pricing-wise, it beats competitors by a mile for a much nicer experience. From the minute we arrived for our wedding weekend, staff here made us feel seen and helped us with our every request. We were able to book a suite for bride and groom and getting ready, and Shannon helped us so much in securing our room block, extending it, and coordinating our stay. We also opted to have our wedding welcome party here, which was truly perfect. A huge thank you to Jake for the wonderful support provided in planning. The bar staff was so kind and soldiered through a very hot evening outside on the Camilia Promenade (which was a BEAUTIFUL venue) and choosing to host the welcome party at the hotel was one of the best decisions we made in our wedding planning process. The food and drink were perfect. This was also a great spot for our guests, who could find something to eat at one of the restaurants when needed. We found ourselves gathered around the bar at night which was just such a lovely way to spend time together, and the accommodations themselves were so upscale and lovely. Valet staff was out of this world helpful, remembered our names, were friendly and kind...and our guests loved the happy hour in the evenings, too! I wish we could've stayed here even longer, it was truly so perfect and made us feel so special over our wedding weekend. Can't recommend enough!

Old Metropolitan Hall is a wonderful space with a lot of history, and the downstairs area especially was great for dancing after the wedding. There was a ton of light and the space was well cared for. They had worked with our caterer, Harvest Moon, to provide specs and help with setup, and that was seamless and easy. We played our own music, and the sound system was simple to use and worked well both upstairs and downstairs. The staff were great to work with and were very responsive. The price was extremely reasonable for the excellent Downtown location and beauty of the space.

We did a full buyout of the space for a 160 person wedding in May 2025, and I would highly recommend this venue for a wedding! There are many nice picturing-taking spots around the property. We were able to get some more nature focused pictures outside and then moved inside to capture the wonderful industrial feel of the space. We had about 20 tables of 8-9 people and it didn't feel cramped. The food was amazing and almost exactly like what we tried at the tasting. The staff was great during the event. We had to move our ceremony inside and they did the room flip to cocktail hour super quickly! Although it was pricey, we appreciate that the Wool Factory handled everything that had to do the with tables, we did not need to rent plates, napkins, glassware, etc and it was nice to just have all of that tied in with the food and beverage. The only downsides I would mention was that communication was a bit slow (I often had to send a followup email to get a response), the beer options were not given to us until 30 days before, and we had to rent chairs for the tables since they only provided benches. Also they had a strict "no bare feet" on the dance floor, which is totally understandable, but I wish I would have know beforehand so that I could have warned my guests to bring flats in addition to their heels. Overall, it was a beautiful venue and we had an amazing day!

My husband and I got married at Montalto in May 2022, and it was the wedding of our dreams. We also happened to meet at Montalto at a UVA reunion in 2017, so it was extra special to us and we were so excited to return. Nothing can match the beautiful views from the mountaintop of Charlottesville, Monticello, and the Blue Ridge Mountains. The Monticello team went above and beyond for us, as intense storms were forecasted the week of our wedding. And it was indeed a rainy weekend, but we were still able to celebrate at the mountaintop and incredible views, including rainbows. The indoor facilities with the balcony were picture perfect for our wedding day prep and was still out of the way of the set up going on downstairs. The staff was very prompt at communication and working with all our vendors to make our dream day come true. As an added bonus, getting to take our engagement photos on the mountain top was pretty unique, too (see attached photos courtesy of Xiaoqi Li)

Kim Hayden was amazing to work with. Kim thought of (and remembered) every detail I told her. She was 100% on board with my vision and made it happen. I was able to use my own china which I had collected for my special day. We got married on the 10th Green, had the cocktail hour under the Pavilion and then our reception was in the Ballroom. The Glenmore had a champagne wall for my use, linens, lanterns, bars, and even candle holders. We added some of our own touches, but Glenmore is full service. From the prosecco wall, the the lighted hedge behind our cake, to putting our printed menus in the perfect spot. Our wedding was perfection. The views are phenomenal. The food was delicious - we served buffet style to make sue of my china and the kitchen did it all right. We had plated salads (tomato and mozzarella) then buffet steak, shrimp in grits, gnocchi with vegetables, roasted potatoes and asparagus. Everything was amazing. The Glenmore was so accommodating. They let us add a sparkling rose and rose to our wine choices - which felt so right with our theme. They had a hedge to put behind our cake table, which we added a personalized sign to, flowers and fairy lights. Glenmore let us have a photo booth in the ball room lobby, and we used their gorgeous farm tables to set out framed photos and favors. I had the absolute best time at my wedding. I highly recommend the Glenmore as a venue. It has gorgeous views, super friendly staff, they are diligent and 100% know how to throw a wedding. I have no regrets entrusted them with my special day and I have the absolute best memories. Thank you Kim and Molly!

If I had to do it all over again, I would pick Mount Fair Vineyard every time. Everything was high quality: the wine, the views, the people, the communication, the property. I can hardly put into words how wonderful it was to work with Elaine and how much we enjoyed our wedding at Mount Fair. We fell more and more in love with it each time we visited and made the trip all the way from Georgia to bury our bourbon by the greenhouse. The Paddock House was perfect for our rehearsal dinner and getting ready in the morning while the groomsmen loved hanging out in the Tasting Room prior to the ceremony and the cottage was so convenient for us newlyweds. We were able to customize our day to exactly how we wanted it from the ceremony location to the catering team. You will have to bring almost everything in (restroom trailer, tent, chairs, etc) depending on the number of guests, but the property was so well taken care of that it speaks for itself, we barely had to decorate! Just be aware that across the street is Montfair which may have a wedding at the same time and Apple/Google directions may give you slightly incorrect directions, so you may want to put up signs for your guests! Get married here, you won't regret it!

This venue is amazing. You have access to the entire camp - pavillion, dining hall, fire pits, lodges and cabins. We had about half of our guests spend the entire weekend at the camp with us. Cannot recommend it enough!!

Walden Hall is unlike most venues that I work at. Being able to stay onsite at your wedding venue is not something that you see very often outside of a wedding held at a hotel. Their staff is super helpful and accommodating and the space is beautiful. Not to mention the house is MASSIVE. It can hold family members, friends, out of towners, you name it. Would love to work their again if given the chance.

I don’t think I can say enough amazing things about Bridget and the staff at Rivercrest Farm and Events. With my research and talking to other venues, Rivercrest provides a unique opportunity for couples for many reasons - multiple Airbnb’s onsite, ability to decorate the venue yourself, having the venue for 2.5 days, the open mindedness to creative ideas, and no one else has Bridget!! When my now husband and I drove up on the property, we loved how quiet and beautiful the area was. But it was Bridget who sold us on the venue. Bridget is one of the friendliest, supportive, and most enthusiastic person - the best combination of what you want for an event coordinator. We looked at another place before seeing Rivercrest and we heard a lot of “no’s”- “No we wouldn’t do this or couldn’t do this”. So when we met Bridget, it was a breath of fresh air. When we told her our ideas and vision, it was a lot of “YES!” or “we can figure it out”. If there was something she wasn’t sure we could do, she would reach out to the owners or provide other solutions. Some different ideas - Toby Keith tribute, a The Office theme wedding video, the groom/groomsmen coming into the ceremony to Motley Crue, and bridal party flip cup entrance. We decided Rivercrest was our venue before we even got back to our vehicle to leave. Throughout the months leading up to the wedding, Bridget was very easy to reach and communicate with! Our 30 day walkthrough was easy and Bridget helped us see our vision come to life. Within the one month leading up to the wedding, Bridget would reach out to give updates and was flexible with any changes in our timeline. She was able to communicate to our vendors and be an advocate for us. Rivercrest has vendors on a recommended (not required list). We got our DJ (DJ Chuck) and caterer (Crossroads Catering and Cafe) off the list which were both fantastic!! Rivercrest has great connections! On wedding day, everything went smoothly!! Her staff helped with getting our older guests food and kept an eye on them throughout. Everything was set up how we visioned! Scott the owner was also helping out! Couldn’t be more thankful to the staff of Rivercrest for making our day so perfect!! All of our guests had only great things to say about the venue. No complaints all around. We also rented 2 of the Airbnb’s which are onsite. Both Airbnb’s were super cute and clean! The Airbnb’s were a great option to have all of our friends stay with us. Bonus with being dog friendly!! Rivercrest allowed us to have a wedding weekend and not just a 5 hour day to spend with our loved ones. We recommend Rivercrest for all couples no matter how far you live! They deserve all the praise and the travel. 100% worth it.

The venue itself is stunning. The chapel on the property is a masterpiece, offering a level of intimacy and charm that we couldn’t find anywhere else. The fresco on the ceiling is absolutely breathtaking, a true work of art that made the space feel even more special. The large bay windows and balcony created incredible opportunities for photography, while the pews and altar added an elegant, timeless touch. Speaking of photography, we were thrilled with our choice of Aaron Watson Photography. He was a true professional, expertly navigating less-than-ideal weather to capture photos that exceeded all our expectations. The wedding package we selected was seamless and stress-free. It included gorgeous flowers, a kind and professional officiant, and every element we needed to make our day unforgettable. Our stay at the Albemarle Estate was equally exceptional. Between the pristine grounds, beautifully appointed rooms, and the privacy of the cabin we stayed in, the estate made us feel like we had our own little paradise. With only about 11 rooms on the property, it offered a level of exclusivity that was especially memorable for our New Year’s Eve wedding. We couldn’t have been luckier to host our wedding here. The property’s uniqueness, from the incredible chapel to the estate’s picturesque surroundings, far surpassed any other venue we explored. Additionally, the entire elopement package was an extraordinary value. For under 10,000, it included the venue, officiant, photographer, floral arrangements, two nights in the cabin, hair and makeup brought directly to us, our wedding attire, and delicious meals in the fine dining room. Every detail was thoughtfully planned, making our wedding as easy as it was magical. If you’re considering hosting your wedding at Trump Winery, we cannot recommend it highly enough. The experience was truly one of a kind, and we’ll cherish the memories forever.
