Often used as an extension to The Bradbury Main Hall, this space is just as historical and used as an art gallery.

Perfect for cocktail hour or additional flow space, The Vault Gallery is the ideal intimate companion to the Main Hall. Separated only by a sleek glass wall, these two spaces together encompass the entire first floor. The Vault gets its name and unique historic charm from two decommissioned, original bank vaults that are now fully accessible inside. This captivating, historic space adds effortless movement and a touch of mystery to your wedding day!

    Flawless Day, Best Venue with Best Team!

    Choosing The Bradbury Building paired with the Harvest Moon in house Catering and Events management was hands down the best decision we made in our wedding planning. Our wedding day ended up being truly the best day of our lives and the beauty of this historic space both created grand celebratory moments while also having a gorgeous space for an intimate ceremony and several comfortable options for us to get ready in. The venue had every accomodation we needed, and worked with our vendors flawlessly to the point I had quite frankly forgotten everyone wasn't on one team. The staff took such incredible care in setting up the venue with our design in mind, and even offered helpful touches we didn't think of. Our guests never had to wait long for food or access to drink and they had a blast enjoying the historic space including a fun party vibe in their secret vault that almost felt like speakeasy! I really appreciated all the thought that was put into the areas where we got ready, snacks, drinks, hangers, steamers... you would never know we weren't in a spa. The grand room was a fabulous place to dine and make a splash with a big post ceremony entrance coming down the gorgeous staircase. With high vaulted ceilings you would think the space might be loud or cold, but I can tell you it was cozy during dinner and throughout our speeches. They have multiple options of where to host your ceremony, we ended up having ours in the bank which had gorgeous natural light filtering through and worked perfectly for our guest size. We later transformed that to the dance room which changed into a discotechque between dinner, it was incredible! There was plenty of parking garages nearby for guests that wanted to drive, as well as easy accessibility for anyone who needed it to be dropped off. Guests had no problem leaving or coming via taxi as well. Load in and load out was a breeze! We are so lucky and grateful that the memories of our wedding day were at The Bradbury. It will forever hold a very special place in our hearts.

    Beautiful venue right in the middle of downtown!

    I've worked weddings and events in the Central VA area for about 5 years now. The Bradbury is such a beautiful venue right in the middle of the downtown mall. I've seen a wide variety of events there, from work holiday parties, bar mitzvahs, rehearsal dinners, to weddings. The space lends itself well for all kinds of events. The venue rep is fantastic to work with; she is incredibly knowledgeable and professional. I've had nothing but great experiences working with her. If you are wanting to host an event in downtown Charlottesville, The Bradbury is definitely the way to go!

Spring and fall tend to be our busiest seasons, specifically the months of mid-March through June and mid-August through November. We also tend to have a holiday push in December and January!
We are slowest from late January through early March and then again find a lull in July through early August.
Yes, you can provide your own alcohol; however, Harvest Moon Catering (our exclusive caterer) is legally required to serve it.
We have several of the largest parking garages in the area surrounding our location. They have the most affordable parking rates in the city (most of them at only $2 an hour and capped at $12 a day). We are able to reserve the 5 spaces on the side of our building for a $100 fee. We can also reserve parking in any of the garages for a fee of $12 per person.
Yes, all our facilities are fully ADA accessible. We also have a ramp at the Third Street side entrances, hearing-impaired fire alarm lights, and trained staff.
