With 11 years of experience and 6 years specializing in weddings, Payton brings a refined, artful approach to capturing modern love stories. She holds a BFA in Photography from RMCAD and is known for blending timeless elegance with natural, emotive storytelling. From intimate mountaintop ceremonies to elevated weekend celebrations, Payton works closely with her couples to thoughtfully plan every detail—creating seamless wedding days and imagery that feels effortless, romantic, and uniquely you.

    Payton is so great to work with!

    I am so glad I have gotten the opportunity to work with Payton. She shot with us at a recent wedding and did a great job on getting everything back to us quickly! During the day she was able to work independently with great initiative. She is really thorough at giving direction to her subjects and making them feel comfortable. She has a laid back, yet effective vibe! 10/10 would recommend either hiring or working with Payton Teffner Photography.

    Besties!

    When I met Payton to do a wedding last month, we instantly bonded! She was super organized and always made the best use of our time when we were capturing everything. She has a great eye for creative shots and really knows how to use the venue to her advantage! She’s a really calm spirit, so she was just great to be around in general as well. She carried herself with an air of kind professionalism, and that’s something I always value in my fellow colleagues. It was so much fun that I hope to work with her again even though we’re now a little further from each other!

    A Devoted Photography Queen!

    Payton was a hidden gem that I found through an intense Instagram/Facebook search for a wedding photographer. I was starting to get discouraged with the outrageous pricing of some of the big name photographers in the Birmingham, AL area and disappointed with the gallery examples of some of the cheaper options. When she messaged me back, her rates are so reasonable and affordable and her Instagram really shows how vibrant and dreamy her previous galleries have turned out. I felt like I could really trust her with capturing our special memories, I was right. Prior to the wedding, she sent out a questionnaire asking about our photography priorities and mindset. Also recently she started including an engagement session when you book her for a wedding package!! A steal! We couldn’t be happier with our photos and our experience with a Payton. She also is a traveling queen, so if you’re not in Birmingham, AL, don’t be discouraged!

    Simply the BEST!!!!!!!

    Payton is by far the best photographer in town!! She not only takes gorgeous photos, but it’s clear from the start how much she cares for her clients!! We had the best experience, her thoroughness and attention to detail is above and beyond!! Her communication is fantastic! She always responded quickly, always punctual, and even got all of our Wedding photos back to us within 6 weeks!! Our pictures were so beautiful, so unique… Payton truly captured our big day just as I had hoped! Not only was she overall so awesome to work with, but she did so much out of her way to make our whole time working together so special. Thank you Payton!!!!

First, we’ll schedule a call to see if our styles and vision align. Once we’re confident we’re a perfect fit, I’ll prepare a contract and send an invoice—25% of your wedding booking is due as a deposit, with the remainder spread out throughout the year for your convenience. You’ll also receive a carefully crafted questionnaire and a comprehensive wedding guide, and I’ll work with you to create a thoughtful timeline that ensures your day flows seamlessly.
I want your photos to be absolutely perfect, and I take great care to ensure every image reflects the beauty and emotion of your day. You’ll receive a sneak peek within 72 hours—because I know how excited you’ll be to see what we created together! Your full gallery will be delivered 4–6 weeks later through a private online link, where you’ll have unlimited downloads of all edited images. From there, you can easily download, share, select your favorites, and even order prints to enjoy your memories for years to come.
The number of hours and images depends on the package you choose. My base package includes 6 hours of coverage and 600+ edited photos, with additional packages offering extended coverage and even more curated images. Contact me to learn more about which package is the perfect fit for your day!
