    Laren was a dream to work with

    We were so lucky to have found Laren for our engagement and wedding photography! We were obsessed with the quality of her work, and she delivered above our expectations with our own gallery. Laren is a kind and gentle soul who made us feel understood and respected as a queer couple. Her calm energy is just what we needed as two relatively camera-shy people. Her directions for posing felt natural and intentional, nothing that we felt uncomfortable or silly doing. She brought along the sweetest second shooter to our wedding and the two of them fit photography in seamlessly and efficiently while making it a fun process all around! We recommend her as a person and as an artist 3

    Don't think too hard-- Just book Laren

    Laren Rose Photography was an absolute dream to work with for our wedding day. From our very first interaction, Laren was thorough, sympathetic, timely, and encouraging-- and that continued throughout the entire process. Her creative, documentary, artistic, and intimate approach to capturing our wedding was truly unique. It was exactly what we were hoping for! Laren made being in front of the camera feel comfortable, easy, and fun. Almost every shot, she was encouraging us, finding ways for us to be silly so we felt less stiff, and coming up with wonderful ways to include even guests outside our wedding profile. For candids, she was low profile but somehow managed to be absolutely everywhere, capturing all the important tiny moments that made our day so special. When my grandfather was too ill to attend the wedding at the last minute, Laren made week-of changes to her plan to ensure I didn't confront his absence any more than I had to on my wedding day, and even helped me orchestrate a special photo of all my cousins that I could give my grandparents so they could feel a little more like they were there. Laren was beyond amazing at every stage from booking to proofs, and we are thrilled with the final results. I'd give her seven thousand stars if I could. My husband and I cannot recommend Laren highly enough!

    Work with Laren for all of your photography needs!

    What initially drew us to reaching out to Laren to be our photographer for an intimate, 14 person wedding ceremony was obviously her stunning, timeless and romantic photographs. But what somehow stood out even more than the beautiful photographs she delivered to us (and with a relatively short turnaround!) was what an absolute pleasure it was to work with her, from communicating to figure out if it was a good fit initially, to planning a wedding day adventure session, to ensuring everyone at the ceremony got the photos they wanted. Throughout the initial coordination and planning process, she was very helpful with providing feedback on our ideas and crafting it into a clear plan for the day. She was flexible in allowing us to split coverage between an early morning adventure session in the mountains and time later at the venue for the formal wedding ceremony. She provided recommendations for other vendors and drafted timelines to help us organize the activities for the day. Leading up to the day, she provided us with regular updates about the weather, proactively providing alternate options if it did not cooperate. For the adventure session, it ended up being a frigid and windy morning, which could have been a miserable experience but because of her warmth, energy and positivity ended up being really fun despite us being freezing! She was always offering alternate ideas to make sure we had opportunities to warm up and even spent a good amount of time at the beginning helping us learn how to tie a bowtie. Since it was so cold and windy in the morning that we cut our hike short, she offered to come earlier in the evening (which was so kind) and shows her commitment to having the whole day really be about her clients, even if the coverage is split into two sessions! Working with her for the ceremony felt so natural and it really showed in the heartfelt, genuine and joyful photos that she took. We highly recommend Laren -- her skills would shine for capturing any event!

    Truly don't look any further--work with Laren!!

    I can say with 100% certainty, there is no one who could’ve captured our wedding better than Laren. I don’t even know where to begin, but I’ll do my best! From the very first conversation, Laren proved to be professional, warm, engaged, thoughtful, smart, artistic, and I could tell she absolutely loved what she did. I was drawn to her work originally because of it’s cinematic, timeless, and intimate quality--exactly what we were looking for. She strikes the perfect balance of capturing the small, beautiful moments between people, and showcasing the venue & event in it’s entirety. My husband and I have never done professional photos before, so we were surprised at how comfortable Laren made us feel in front of the camera. She encouraged us to be goofy, have fun, make each other laugh, and be playful without feeling forced whatsoever. She made us look beautiful, but never made us look like anything other than ourselves. What more could you want on your wedding day? Underneath all the artistry and kindness, she was also professional, prompt, an incredible wrangler, and flexible, and absolutely went beyond the “call of duty.” She moved swiftly but never made anyone feel rushed. I didn’t even notice her during the ceremony and reception, and she captured a million and one special moments—she’s magic!! Laren truly made us feel like old Hollywood stars. I am so incredibly thankful we chose each other for this special day, and I cannot recommend her enough. Book Laren and you will truly, truly be so impressed and grateful.

    Timeless & Romantic: A dream Wedding Photographer

    We had the most wonderful experiences with Laren! We wanted our wedding photos to look timeless and classic. She gave us just what we were hoping for and captured our day exactly as we remembered it. She went above and beyond shooting our bride and groom portraits to follow! We had originally planned to take pictures the day following our wedding on the Blue Ridge Parkway, but when we arrived at our destination, it was 39 degrees and windy. After taking a few photos, Laren offered that we come back during a warmer time to take the pictures at no additional charge. The photos turned out BEAUTIFULLY!! There were so many good ones that we had a difficult time deciding which photos to print for our home. Laren has such a warm and encouraging personality that made my husband and me feel very comfortable from the get go. You will love your photos by her guaranteed!

Typically, as soon as you have a date decided on. Booking a photographer is one of the first vendors to book to make sure you get your dream photographer. In general, couples book their venue first and lock in a date, then reach out to their photographer to check if they are available the same date.
Definitely. All final images will be edited. No RAW images are released as they are not a finished product reflecting the LRP style.
I do! Just let me know if your venue requires a certificate of liability, and I’ll send that over to them.
Generally, 50-90 images per hour. I include as many as possible, I don’t limit myself to a maximum or minimum amount, I am focused on storytelling. I include the best photos meaning I cull photos with blinking, talking, or duplicates of the same image.
Photos are delivered within 6-8 weeks for weddings. All images are high resolution and sent in digital format through a personal online gallery. Print release is included with every package. Prints, wedding albums, wooden boxes, canvases, can be purchased directly through your online gallery. I've handpicked my favorite high quality print companies to save you time, and the goods are delivered to your doorstep directly.
Securing your date is easy with my all-in-one booking platform. A date is reserved with a 50% non-refundable retainer along with a signed agreement form. And that’s it! The retainer is non-refundable due to turning away potential business for the same date. The remainder of the payment is to be paid with a credit card payment 4 weeks before a wedding date, or 1 week before a portrait session date.
You have the option to add on a second shooter for different vantage points. I recommend this if having a guest count of 75+ to capture more moments. You can add on more hours to your timeline, a day after wedding portrait session for more photos with you and your spouse in the mountains for example, an engagement session, and more. Yes, definitely! It’s totally normal to feel nervous in front of the camera. I do a lot of directing at shoots so you don’t have to worry. I’ll offer guidance and actions to shoot in a more candid style. Once we start shooting and warm up, you’ll relax and have a good time! If there's anything you'd like me to know, please do!
