Hazy Mountain Winery is a vineyard and brewery wedding venue located south of Charlottesville in Afton, Virginia. The picturesque estate boasts breathtaking panoramic views of the Shenandoah Valley and Blue Ridge Parkway, providing an unparalleled backdrop for weddings and engagement parties. The Tuscan-inspired architecture paired with 35 acres of rolling vines offers couples an Italian countryside wedding without the destination price tag. Hazy Mountain Winery is dedicated to providing guests with the best experience possible. The all-inclusive experience offers couples peace of mind while the events and the in-house catering teams provide them with the wedding of their dreams. All wedding packages include ceremony seating, reception seating, round banquet tables, and linens for up to 200 guests. The in-house catering service collaborates with the pair to curate the perfect menu and bar package and provide all napkins, china, flatware, and glassware.

    Our wedding at Hazy Mountain Vineyards was absolutely perfect, and we cannot recommend this venue highly enough. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the beauty of the property. The views are simply incredible and created the perfect backdrop for our wedding weekend. We rented the villa for our stay and welcome party, and it exceeded every expectation. The accommodations were beautiful, comfortable, and provided the perfect place for our family and friends to gather and celebrate together before the wedding. The wedding day itself was everything we could have hoped for. The venue is stunning, the grounds are meticulously maintained, and every detail came together flawlessly. The food was excellent, the wine and drinks were fantastic, and our guests are still talking about how amazing the entire experience was. What truly made the weekend exceptional, however, was our wedding planner, Paige. She was absolutely outstanding from start to finish. Paige was organized, professional, responsive, and genuinely invested in making sure our day was perfect. She handled every detail behind the scenes, kept everything running smoothly, and allowed us to simply enjoy our wedding without worrying about logistics. Her attention to detail and calm, positive attitude made a huge difference throughout the planning process and on the wedding day itself. If you are considering Hazy Mountain for your wedding, do it. Between the breathtaking views, beautiful accommodations, outstanding food and drinks, and the incredible support from Paige and the entire team, it was truly the wedding of our dreams. Thank you for giving us memories that will last a lifetime.

    The venue of our dreams!!!

    We could not have asked for a better wedding venue! Not only are the space and surrounding mountains beautiful, but the entire staff is incredible and worked so hard to make our wedding dreams come true. The inclusion of a full-service coordinator and planner made the planning process fun and seamless, and we really felt that we could trust our team at Hazy to help us with any hiccups along the way! Many of our guests had food allergies that we had to accommodate, and the chef here worked with us to create a selection of delicious appetizers and entrees that would allow all of our guests to safely enjoy their meals. We have only great things to say about Hazy Mountain and would recommend it to any couple looking for the perfect mountain wedding venue!

All Weddings are allotted for 5 hours and 30 minutes, this includes time for a 30-minute ceremony, 1-hour cocktail hour, and 4-hour reception. If you plan to have an off-site ceremony the 30-minutes dedicated for your ceremony can be added to your cocktail hour or reception time. An additional reception hour may be purchased, however all events must end by 10:00 PM.
Yes, an on-site ceremony rehearsal is included with your wedding rental. Scheduling a rehearsal will be finalized 30-days prior to the event. Your Hazy-Mountain coordinator will be present at your rehearsal to help get you ready for your big day.
Yes, you are allowed to use an outside coordinator and we would be happy to work with them. However, all wedding packages come with our in-house, full-service, coordination, so it is not necessary to hire an additional coordinator.
In our full-service coordination we can offer timeline preparation, budget development and tracking, vendor management (which includes recommendations, bookings, and distribution of payment), timeline and floorplan creations, on-sight presence for rehearsal and day-of event, setting up décor, point of contact for all vendors, assist in clean up, ensure that the event runs smoothly. Essentially our team is there to guide you through the beginning stages of planning all the way to the very end of the event.
Your are able to access all the spaces in your rental beginning at 12:00PM the date of your event. The getting-ready spaces will be available to access through the duration of the event, but all personal items must be removed by the end of your event. Yes, we love that picture perfect moment as much as you do. Outside you may use sparklers. Currently we do not allow confetti, rice, or birdseed to be used outside.
We do not allow the use of outside caterers. All food products, with the exception of wedding cakes, must be provided by our In-House Catering. All couples will receive a complimentary food and beverage tasting 6-months prior to your event, so you are confident in your menu choices.
You cannot bring in outside wine or beer, and all wine and beer consumed must be made by Hazy Mountain. You may bring in liquor, and our bartenders can use that to create mixed drinks for your guests. All liquor MUST be removed from Hazy Mountain property at the end of the event.
Yes, we have 200 available parking spaces and very large parking lot for buses.
Yes, all our facilities are wheelchair accessible. We also have ramps at the main and side entrances, hearing-impaired fire alarm lights, and trained staff.
