Emily Hancock Photography is now called Oliver & Co! Oliver & Co is a Lynchburg based wedding photography team serving Lynchburg, Roanoke, and Charlottesville VA. We are bringing a modern documentary vibe to the country chic weddings of Virginia.

We're bringing a documentary candid style of photography to Virginia weddings. Our couples are seeking images that hold emotion and a natural feel. The team at Oliver & Co is proficient with portrait time so you receive all the must have portraits but also get back to enjoying your wedding day!

    Dream Team

    When booking Oliver & Co we never expected proprietors Emily & James (of the Hancocks) to shoot our wedding. We are eternally grateful and lucky to have had such a professional and positive team to capture the memories of our wedding. It was important to us to not just have portraits but to really capture the spirit and the energy of our intimate event. Emily & James were a dream to work with us, hyping us up and giving us simple prompts as we were posing for photos. The preview images we received 2 days after our wedding were incredible and we could not stop smiling as we scrolled through our full gallery. Emily and James captured the day perfectly.

Typically, couples book 5-20 months before their wedding date. I encourage you to reach out as soon as possible, even if you’re planning on a shorter time frame.
At this time we are only offering photography services. I have great friends in the area that offer video services that pair well with our experience! I'm happy to share their information with you!
Each collection includes 2 photographers. Having two photographers means you have coverage in two places at the same time! Some weddings our team has brought an assistant (at no cost to you) to help cover the day but that is not always guaranteed.
This differs for every wedding depending on MANY factors like: hours of coverage, size of bridal party, # of wedding guests, how many details you have, if you share any first looks, your reception events, if your guests are big party dancers, etc. Like I said, there are a lot of factors but generally speaking I would say anywhere from 75-100 images per hour of coverage.
Our turnaround time varies by season but our turnaround time is typically 8-12 weeks. Your photos will be sent via an online gallery with high-resolution image files. So you can download & share the photos with your loved ones and order prints within your gallery!
All final images will be edited in a true to life brighter edit with bold colors & classic feel to capture your day in a timeless way. We cull through the out of focus and unflattering shots and give you only the best ones! *No RAW photos are given to protect our credibility & consistency for future clients*
I do! Just let me know if your venue requires a certificate of liability, and I’ll send that over to them.
We have a large team of photographers that work with us at Oliver & Co. If one of your photographers is unable to work your wedding, we will ask another photographer on our team or, if they are available, Emily or James Hancock (the owners) may step in and cover your wedding!
All wedding day travel fees are included in your package price. If your engagement session is a destination location or includes travel outside of Virginia there may be extra costs. All Destination Weddings are custom prices to include travel fees.
