Amanda is the BEST!

Amanda was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! I can't say enough great things about Amanda. She is incredibly talented and the consummate professional. We went a non-traditional route for our wedding, deciding to get married in the morning off the blue ridge parkway, and then hike up to the top of humpback rocks with our guests to celebrate our marriage at the top of a mountain. That meant having Amanda get up early to capture the ceremony and then do the hike with us (haha!). She was incredible, and brought along her photographer friend to help during the morning to get all the action. Later that evening, she met back up with us when we cleaned up for some portraits with family, and some of our absolute favorite couple photos we've ever taken on the downtown mall. I don't feel like words do justice -- the photos of our memories say everything I couldn't ever possibly put into words. I should also mention that thanks to her phenomenal photos, we were one of the couples selected for a Cville wedding magazine issue! Amanda is one of the best decisions we made for our wedding day. We will always be thankful for her and think of her often when we pass our beautiful canvas photos of that day hanging around our house. :)

If you're looking for a photographer who is incredibly talented and a joy to have by your side on your wedding day, we can't recommend Amanda highly enough. She was warm, friendly, easy to work with, and a great communicator throughout the entire process. She had several practical suggestions for how to structure the time line so we had plenty of time for our first look, family photos, etc. She had a knack for helping even the most camera-shy members of our wedding party and family look comfortable and natural. After the wedding, many of our guests commented on how kind she was and how she always seemed to be in the right place to capture every moment. We received a beautiful set of highlight photos just a week and a half after the wedding, and our full gallery seven weeks after the wedding. When we opened it, we were blown away. The formal portraits are beautiful, but our favorite images are the candid ones. Amanda captured so many genuine moments, from heartfelt hugs to family members making their signature goofy faces. One of our favorite touches (which we didn't realize she would do) was photographing our guests as they arrived at the ceremony in their wedding best. We were able to send those photos to family members and friends as part of our thank yous which they loved. Amanda didn't just photograph our wedding—she captured what the day felt like. We couldn't be happier with our experience and would recommend her for anyone getting married in the Charlottesville area.

Amanda is amazing. She managed a complicated indoor and outdoor shoot for staff plus an important reception for our supporters all on the same day. She moved through the event unobtrusively and captured exactly what we wanted. Everything looked great and the turnaround was fast. Highly recommend.
