Hi! I'm Kelly! I'm a wedding and portrait photographer based in Charlottesville, VA. My specialty is couples' photography - surprise proposals, engagement sessions, and weddings! I capture love stories all over Virginia and Washington DC! Everyone's story matters. That's why I believe it is important to let my clients know that I am an LGBTQIA+ and BLM ally.

I love the classic beauty of fine art wedding photography, but also the organic, carefree feeling of photojournalistic photography. I combine those two aspects in my photography to create elegant images that capture genuine emotion.

    My husband and I are so happy to have gotten the opportunity to work with Kelly for our May 2025 wedding! From the start, she was professional and communicative. When working with her in person, she is always calm and in control, which I think is essential when working in the wedding business. She definitely strikes the right balance of managing the scene around her while also bringing a sense of ease. She made the whole day (not to mention our engagement photos) feel fun, laid back, and unhurried—all important factors for a wedding day. Thank you Kelly!

    Kelly was the best photographer for our wedding! She was so respectful of us and our families and made sure that she got all the shots we all requested (an unruly bunch at times ahah). We had a great time working with her and LOVED the way all of our pics turned out. We would use her again in a heartbeat!

    If I could give more than five stars I would! Kelly is the absolute best! Kelly is professional, supportive, calm, yet assertive (needed with a large bridal party). She is absolutely everything we wanted in a wedding photographer and more. Kelly shot our engagement pictures as well as our wedding day. Both shoots were available for us within a very reasonable time which is great when you are anxious to see the result. The wedding photos are filed into categories which makes it very easy when downloading your favorites. We had way more wedding photos than we thought we would get which is a fantastic surprise. Kelly's photographs are soft, but also true to color which was exactly what we wanted. Kelly made us feel completely comfortable during photos and is so kind. She also worked super well with our other vendors (videographer, etc.). We absolutely love her work and are unbelievably thrilled that we chose her to be our wedding photographer. If you are considering using Kelly, do it! You will not be disappointed.

    Working with Kelly was better than I could have imagined! She talked with me over a Zoom call at the beginning of planning our wedding and made a wedding timeline with me. Over the months of planning our wedding, we edited the timeline a few times, and I was so happy to have her experience and guidance in that since we were not hiring a wedding coordinator. Kelly was prompt with her responses to my texts and emails, and always professional. Our engagement session with Kelly was so fun, and she made us both feel comfortable during our first professional photo shoot ever. She delivered over 100 photos just from our engagement shoot! The day of our wedding, Kelly wore many hats. She acted as coordinator by keeping everyone in line and everything according to our timeline. She was also basically my maid of honor, fixing my dress, buttoning my gown’s sleeves in the car on the way to our ceremony, and swapping her shoes with mine for 30 minutes so my feet could have a break from my uncomfortable shoes before our first dance. I also appreciated her taking charge when needed. It took some stress off of me and allowed me to enjoy our big day without having to boss people around, haha. When it was all said and done, she delivered about 1,000 stunning photos of our day that we will always cherish, and even sent 100 printed photos as a gift to us. Kelly, THANK YOU for making our wedding day run smoothly, hyping us both up, making us feel comfortable and heard, and delivering such special memories in picture form. 3 So thankful we found you to be our photographer!
