Montfair is a relaxed, one of a kind venue that can be customized to each couple’s unique taste. With over 129 acres of woodlands, guests visiting this serene venue can enjoy hiking and biking trails, canoeing and fishing or immerse themselves in the vibrant cultural heritage that Virginia has to offer.

Tucked away mountain oasis
Montfair was the first wedding venue my husband and I visited and we immediately fell in love with it. Private, understated but very well kept up, naturally gorgeous, and diverse in its landscapes, Montfair allowed us to create an experience that felt worlds away and truly magical. We held our ceremony down by the pond and guests could watch the sun set over the changing trees and water as they had drinks. The lodge feels intimate and cozy at night; the dance floor was expansive and welcoming; and guests who wanted fresh air could enjoy the bonfire Enjoying time with our families who stayed in the cabins the next morning was a special bonus. The team is resourceful and warm. This is a precious place!
Spectacular venue - everything we wanted!
Montfair was the perfect venue for our wedding! It was so wonderful having our friends and family stay on property for the weekend. The ceremony sight was stunning, cocktail hour by the water was serene, and the deck offered plenty of room for a rockin' dance floor! Thank you to everyone at Montfair for a magical wedding weekend!

We are so glad we chose Montfair Resort Farm as our wedding venue. From initial visit all the way to saying goodbye after it was all said and done, the Montfair team was so incredibly accommodating and welcoming. They made us feel like family. We rented the venue for the entire weekend and we loved having the flexibility to customize every detail to our liking (and all within budget) !
Incredible Venue
We had our wedding at Montfair Resort Farm this past summer, and it was truly the most beautiful, magical setting we could have imagined. From the very first visit, we fell in love with the natural beauty of the property—the mountains, the lake, and the peaceful, private atmosphere created the perfect backdrop for our celebration. The team at Montfair was wonderful to work with throughout the planning process. They were responsive, flexible, and genuinely invested in helping us create the day we envisioned. On the wedding day itself, everything ran so smoothly, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we felt cared for and relaxed. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about the views and the atmosphere—it really felt like an intimate getaway for everyone. Having the option of on-site lodging made the experience even more special, since friends and family could spend the whole weekend together in such a gorgeous place. We’re so grateful we chose Montfair Resort Farm. It’s a venue full of natural charm, warm people, and unforgettable memories. We would recommend it to any couple looking for a stunning and stress-free wedding venue in Virginia.
