“Everyone loved our wedding. We had so much fun swimming, boating & fishing in the lake on the days before the wedding. We not only rented the 3 cabins on the property, but we also put up glamping tents near the cabins. We had 32 people staying here for 3 nights and 4 days. We had our rehearsal dinner, wedding and brunch the day after the wedding under a beautiful tent alongside the lake. It was breathtaking. My family and friends can’t stop talking about how much fun our 4 days together were. The owners are in a cabin at the back of the property, so they were there for us whenever we needed them all week.”

“We had our wedding reception at Pine Ridge Farms and what a magical and unforgettable experience we had! You can see the Catskill Mountains from the property and the views are breathtaking. The owner, Ms. Gioja was truly wonderful and she made the planning process seamless for us. Which was so important, because it was my first time and she was patient and so very accommodating. It was apparent that she wanted the bride to be happy!!! She was an absolute blessing to us and her team as well! Being able to celebrate with our family and friends at a place that added such beauty and magic was what I wanted! I always say to Ms. Gioja that her place makes you feel at peace, being away from the business of this world and to be surrounded by sounds of nature. What a feeling?! Thank you for taking the time to read my review and if you're thinking about having your event at Pine Ridge Farms, you will not regret it!!!”

“We could not have asked for a more beautiful, inclusive, and accessible venue! Knowing that the vast majority of our guests would have to fly in to our wedding, no matter where we had it, it was important to us that we had a venue we could book for the whole weekend. Combined with all of the amenities Wylder offers, it was a no-brainer. The wedding weekend would not have gone as smoothly as it did without the incredible staff, particularly Andrea and Faith. From the moment of our first phone call until we were leaving the farewell brunch, they took care of us every step of the way. Everyone was so welcoming and accommodating, and Wylder truly felt like our home for the weekend. Highly recommend if you want a beautiful venue (with a lovely rain/cold weather location, which we ended up using), incredible food, and great service!”

“My wife and I came to them on short notice and with a lot of stress due to the time/money expenses of planning the big day. Renee was unfailingly kind, endlessly patient and always upbeat. Putting it simply, the crew at Adena are wonderful people who are very good at their job. The day itself went off without a single hiccup. Every typical issue that we encountered - such as delays on our part, or things I forgot- was handled before I even fully aware of it. They did their jobs calmly and joyfully, and helped reassure my anxious wife (and my surprisingly anxious self). The location is absolutely beautiful, maintained expertly and decorated perfectly. Our reception was elegant and rustic, with clear views of the blue sky outside making a very pretty backdrop to celebration. The Wooded Cathedral was where we had our reception, and I highly recommend it to anyone who’s dreamed of an outdoor wedding in the country. My wife and I are so happy that we switched venues to Adena. We’re thrilled that they’ve left us with these memories, and we are so happy to call the team at Adena friends. Thank you guys for helping us start a marriage on the highest possible note.”

Our guest still text me about all his food. Brittany was amazing. I had last minute changes out of my control and she always found the best way to make things work! Tim the Banquet manager was always around ready to make sure it all ran smoothly. Ryan the lift operations manager kept Brittany updated on the weather day of and when it didn’t look good at the bottom he drove up to make sure he truly had say no to us going to the summit (it was 30 degrees with 45 kt winds) he and his crew opened the lift for 2 hours the next day so we could still get our summit pictures and they all had smiles on their faces. Working with her was an absolute joy. She was attentive, organized, and genuinely invested in making our wedding everything we hoped it would be. When we had a less-than-favorable experience with our planner, Jules stepped in without hesitation and completely took control of the situation. She handled everything with professionalism and grace, allowing us to feel fully supported and at ease on our wedding day. I cannot recommend Hotel Lilien enough for couples looking for an intimate, memorable, and beautifully run wedding experience. “We had our wedding at the Lucy Brate Barn, and it was an incredibly beautiful, charming, and seamless event. The venue (and our photos) looked amazing, and we got so many compliments from our guests. The Mead Family Farm is so scenic, with the barn looking out over a small valley where you may catch a glimpse of the cows grazing in green fields between the rolling hills. The barn is impressively huge, easily fitting our 100 guests with plenty of room to spare. It has such an old-timey charm, made even cozier by the lights, flowers, and decorations. The large doors were wide open, letting in the breezy summer night air, and our guests were also enjoying the outdoor spaces, especially the beautiful patio out back, lined with flowers and greenery and decked with hanging lights. The farm was such a gorgeous place to get married! The Mead-Neff family is so hardworking, helpful, and accommodating — and incredibly calm and collected under the pressure of such a large event. They made the planning process easy and smooth, and they were there for us every step of the way. They really went above and beyond for us, and we are so grateful to them for making our wedding such a special and beautiful event! Thank you!!! “This is the best wedding venue ever!! I usually do not write reviews but had to because of the dream wedding Seven Ponds made happen. Julie, Rosie, Min and Morton (and the whole team) are amazing and I can’t put into words how magical the weekend was. The morning of our wedding, it rained, no it down poured but by 3PM the sun was shining and we were able to have an amazing ceremony. Every detail was thought of, every request was granted. Through out the whole weekend, I felt like a princess. During the reception, we were treated like royalty. At one point in the night I got something on my dress, I was dabbing it out with water and Julie came over from behind me and handed me club soda within a minute of me trying to get it out. EVERYthing was thought of. It feels like your in this wedding bubble being on the farm and every moment was filled with love and laughter and happiness. Consider this beautiful farm for your venue. You will not be disappointed!!”

Twelve Ponds is a 105 acre private estate wedding venue in the Catskills, where ponds, wildflower meadows, a restored farmhouse, a barn, and a stone arch look out over open hills. We host one wedding at a time, and every booking is a full-weekend buyout. The property is yours Friday through Sunday, so the rehearsal dinner, the ceremony, the reception, and a slow Sunday morning by the water all happen in one place. No shared grounds, no six-hour window that rushes you through your own wedding. Couples marry in the meadow, at the pond, or at the arch depending on the season and the light. Fall brings color across the hills, and summer evenings run long and gold. Bring the caterer you love. We have a full commercial kitchen and supply all the tables, chairs, plates, glassware and cutlery for any occasion. Twelve Ponds is for couples who want a wedding weekend, not a wedding day. Send your date and guest count and we’ll tell you honestly whether we’re the right fit.

The team was enthusiastic and thorough in every detail, going above and beyond to understand what our wedding day meant to us. What impressed us most was how they created a personalized experience that felt like family rather than just another event - they remembered the small touches that mattered and made sure everything reflected who we are. The rustic beauty of the venue combined with their stellar service and attention to detail made for a breathtaking celebration that exceeded what we imagined. Our guests couldn't stop raving about the thoughtful setup and the care the staff showed throughout the night. The venue itself is absolutely stunning with plenty of space for all our guests, and everything was clean and beautifully maintained. What impressed us most was how the team stayed one step ahead of us—we never had to ask for anything because they already had it handled. We'd recommend Normanside Country Club to any couple looking for a gorgeous space with a staff that truly cares about making your day special.”

The Wire
Rating: 5.0 (3 reviews)
Coxsackie, NY
  • Up to 350 guests
  • Raw space
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $10,000

The Wire Event Center at the James Newbury Hotel is a stunning waterfront venue that combines industrial charm with natural beauty, offering 10,700 square feet of indoor event space and a 6-acre side lawn for outdoor ceremonies. Exclusively catered by Mazzone Hospitality, guests can enjoy premium dining and bar services tailored to their events. Attached to the IHG voco James Newbury Hotel, which provides comfortable accommodations and on-site dining at Dayline and Patrick Henry's Waterfront Tavern, The Wire is an ideal setting for weddings, corporate gatherings, and special celebrations.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Flexible event spaces
  • Pets can join the celebration
  • Bridal suite on site

Venue considerations

  • Not wheelchair accessible
  • Requires outside catering services
  • Dance floor not included
“Before the wire event center opened up, I remember seeing posts on Facebook about an event venue opening up in Coxsackie. I remember being instantly intrigued and put it on my dream wedding list. Then the space opened and I saw some pics of the completed space and again put it on my dream wedding list. Then started to see pictures of weddings at the wire and again put it on my dream wedding list. Fast forward to when I got engaged and consulted my dream wedding list and saw I had this place listed 3 times. It seemed pretty clear this was where our wedding had to be. I am so glad we went with the wire. The space is absolutely beautiful - whether you are indoors or outdoors. The cocktail space versus the reception space give you different feels but are equally beautiful. Not to mention it’s super convenient to have the venue space right next to your hotel, and the ability to have your rehearsal dinner and after party at the tavern next door. You never have to leave the area! The bridal suite for getting ready is gorgeous and roomy and perfect for your hair and make up artists. It is a little bit of a splurge for the venue fee but honestly was worth it for the access you have within the space. My only real critique is it could be a little difficult to get in communication with the team at times cause how busy they’d be with wedding season. While it is very understandable, it also seemed to take them significantly longer to respond than any other wedding vendor we used. I think it hopefully is just growing pains as they had some changes in the overall team over the course of our planning. In the end, even if responses took some time, everything we needed and wanted was handled so it in no way makes us second guess our decision. We loved the space, our day was perfect and we are so glad we went with the wire!”

“When we started planning our wedding, we knew that we wanted our guests to truly experience the simple beauty of the Hudson Valley. That is what led us to the Abeel House. Our entire day was magical. I walked down the aisle on a little pebble path, surrounded on both sides by wildflowers. Our wedding guests were seated on hay bales in the prairie, the sun on their backs and the stream behind them. After our ceremony, we celebrated in the restored barn behind the historic Dutch stone house. We split the barn into three sections — one to seat our guests for dinner, one for the dance floor, drinks, and dessert tables, and one for the local bluegrass band we hired. As evening came, we turned on the twinkle lights in the barn and danced the night away. You could see the stars through the open windows.”

“My daughter’s wedding was a Birch Hill Catering. I cannot recommend this venue enough. The outdoor ceremony was lovely and required only the most basic of flowers and décor due to the natural beauty of the surroundings. The ballrooms are gorgeous and she chose the one with the stunning atrium glass. It seated 165 people while still leaving plenty of dancing room, DJ booth, and food stations. The cocktail hour was indoor/outdoor on the patio and it was perfect. Now let me talk about our most favorite things. First off, the staff, namely Serena. She is fantastic! She was extremely helpful in working out the details for the event and her communication was top notch through the whole year of planning. On the day of the event, Serena seemed to have eyes and ears everywhere noticing any little detail that needed addressing, taking care of it herself calmly and confidently, and when needed, discreetly asking about a little decision or two for which she needed my input. She also took video and photos during the event. While waiting for the professional photographs for weeks, this was such a nice surprise to receive! Emily was her assistant and very willing and helpful as well. Second, the food. Wow, the food here is just delicious! The choices are abundant and everything was just mouthwatering. It is one of the big reasons we chose this venue and it didn’t disappoint. The carving station and mac n cheese were highlights. They offer so many fun add on’s like late night snack and ice cream stations which since there is not a noise ordinance to worry about, are nice additions to a reception that can go later into the night. Lastly, the fireworks. So, my daughter had her heart set on these and to be honest, my husband and I questioned whether it would be worth it or not. Let me tell you it was worth it, SO worth it. It was a professional show that rivaled that of a lot of professional 4th of July shows! It was spectacular and the photos taken of the bride and groom with huge fireworks going off right above them are awesome! We don't have the pro ones yet but even the cell phone ones are great so we can only imagine. It was an add on we did not regret as our guests were truly in awe. We had many come up to us to share it was a top wedding they had ever attended. Our daughter hugged us at the end of the night thanking us for her fantasy wedding. Thank you to Serena and Birch Hill for making that happen! We will never forget the night.”

Why you'll love this venue

  • Feels like a getaway
  • Provides catering services
  • Promotes a party atmosphere

Venue considerations

  • Best for events with big guest lists
  • On-site parking not available
  • Not for you if you don't want a rustic vibe
“Choosing to have our wedding at Camp Timber Lake was probably the single most important decision we made during the planning process. The camp setting gave us the opportunity to create something far more immersive, personal, and joyful than we had imagined, and the camp / Gatheround staff and everyone involved in the planning process gave us the ability to execute on making all our dreams come true! In the months leading up to the wedding, we worked closely with Will, who was incredibly friendly, responsive, and on top of every detail. He always made time to talk through our many questions and helped accommodate some of our more unconventional requests—from having Camp Timber Lake cater our Sunday reception dinner (which we highly recommend!) to brainstorming the best locations for a nighttime game of kick the can. The camp itself is absolutely beautiful and was perfectly manicured for our arrival. There were endless activities for our guests to enjoy, and the staff placed sports equipment throughout the property so everyone could immediately jump into whatever interested them. Our guests had so much fun exploring the grounds, tossing frisbees and footballs, shooting hoops, and making the camp their own for the weekend. The staff including Reggie, Scott, Liz, Willow, Marcie, and so many others, were AMAZING. They were warm, attentive, and genuinely invested in making the weekend special. Scott and Liz stayed on top of every detail, and the entire team continually went above and beyond to make our guests feel welcome and cared for. When one of our guests lost her phone in the dining hall after hours, the team turned the lights back on and helped her search for it. After she mentioned that she was having trouble turning on the heat in her cabin, they walked over to help, then returned 15 minutes later with brownies and ice cream for her and her cabin-mates as a nice surprise. Another favorite moment happened on the dance floor Saturday night. We had brought bubble guns but realized too late that they required batteries we didn’t have. We’d given up on using them, but when Willow (one of the camp staff) overheard a friend say, “I wish we had batteries for these bubble guns.” he went and tracked down batteries from TV remotes around the camp on his own accord and got the bubble guns working. They ended up being a huge hit! Moments like these, and so many others, made us feel completely at home and made our guests feel incredibly well cared for. The food was also outstanding. We received rave reviews about every meal. The team went out of its way to accommodate dietary preferences and restrictions, providing hearty vegan and vegetarian options at every meal. They even prepared a special plate every meal for my mom, who has an autoimmune disorder that prevents her from eating most spices. The team also decorated dishes with edible flowers and made everything look beautiful. For our reception dinner on the final night, they even came up with the idea of displaying leftover Boy Scout patches from one of our weekend activities along the buffet counter. It was the perfect thoughtful touch. We had multiple guests tell us that this was their favorite wedding they had ever attended, and Camp Timber Lake (and the wonderful people who run it) were a huge reason why. Thank you for giving us and our guests such a magical, joyful, and unforgettable weekend. It truly was the best weekend of our lives! Can’t recommend this wedding venue enough!”

“We had a roundabout journey to The Caboose, but I couldn't be happier that it's where we landed for our wedding in September '25. From the jump, we appreciated the gorgeous space, their commitment to doing right by the planet, and the affiliation with Kitty's—some of our favorite food in Hudson. The combination of a beautiful garden and stunning indoor space made us feel like we were safe no matter the weather. Every time we visited, the garden got better. We loved how lush and colorful it was for our day. We enjoyed working with Caitlin, the venue manager. She was creative and flexible and willing to work with us to do a few things a little differently (like have the ceremony in a different spot in the garden). The food was truly incredible—we still have people raving about it! We appreciated that because we were right on the edge seasonally, we were able to choose the summer menu instead of the one for fall, which felt just right for the day's weather and feeling. Because we had our tasting in February, we weren't able to try most of the items we had, but we trusted we were in good hands—and we definitely were. The kitchen team was also incredibly accommodating with our guest's dietary restrictions—everyone felt very cared for, which is what we hoped for the most! We had live music as well as a DJ and everything sounded truly great in the space. The staff working on our day was SO kind and helpful—people made mention of how warm everyone was, too. I saw many a chitchat at the bar, just because they were so lovely! Just a note, too, that while The Caboose was pricey, we were totally amazed by the value and all that they take care of. We looked at dozens of venues—from full-service spots to DIY operations—and kept coming back to the mix of creativity, value, and quality that The Caboose offered. The fact that they take care of the food, drinks, furniture rentals, lighting, sound system, and staff—and all at such a high caliber—unheard of! We truly couldn't have done it without them. “Weddings can be incredibly stressful and sometimes not go as you planned, but I can guarantee The Edison Downtown staff will make your special day the best wedding or event you’ve ever had. Jena, our wedding coordinator and Bylinda, the owner, truly went above and beyond any of my expectations for my wedding day. The attention to care to not only myself but all family members and party members was impeccable. The organization and leadership day of from Jena highly attributes to the perfection and smoothness of our wedding. She was there late the night before and there bright and early the day of to make sure everything we wanted was done correctly and done timely. She made sure to keep to our schedule and even if there were any bumps in our timeline, she handed it for us. She paid incredible attention to detail to both our wedding and after party, as we had a completely different themed event also at the venue slightly after our wedding ended. I’m sure this made it more difficult than usual for the staff, but Jena handled the organization of all of our decor and organization of the staff and people involved like a seasoned professional. The food from Season’s Catering was divine and some of the best food we can recall having at a wedding or other event in a very, very long time. Our guests cannot stop talking about how absolutely delicious all of the food was, how gorgeous and unique the venue was, and how it was one of the best weddings they have attended. From the bartender to the servers, everyone was so sweet and seemed so excited to be working our wedding day. I didn’t know exactly what to expect planning my first wedding, but was so thankful for having Bylinda and having Jena from the venue to handle everything. Any event at The Edison Downtown is worth every penny. We cannot thank everyone enough for all of the effort they put into our special day.”
