“We are an older couple, and this was a second marriage for both of us, so I am not sure most people would understand the amount of time and effort we spent to find the perfect DJ for our wedding. We are a blended family with 8 adult children, and 5 grandchildren. We were both young parents, so our kids are early 20's, and we have extended family into their 80's - we are literally talking decades of music tastes to cater to. We are both avid music lovers, so having someone that could work with us to help set the perfect tone for our day was vitally important. We started looking for our vendors 2 years ahead of time and when I say we literally vetted over 50 DJs to find the perfect one, it is not a stretch of the truth. What first drew us to DJ Johnny was his videos. We were looking for a DJ that was fun and outgoing, someone to interact with the guests, but not be overbearing. We had been to plenty of weddings where the DJs barely interacted with the guests, and others where you felt like you were in a club and the show was all about the DJ and not the couple. Neither of these were the vibe we were looking for. What we wanted was someone who was experienced, loved their job and knew how to read the room to keep the party going. DJ Johnny's videos seemed to show just that, so we scheduled a call with him. After talking to him, we were fairly certain we had found our guy, but did our due diligence with our other DJ choices as well. We kept coming back to Johnny, because of his personality. He was confident in his skills, but he was in no way arrogant or overbearing. Just very down to Earth and fun loving - a guy who seemed to be fortunate enough to be able to do what he loved and bring other people joy at the same time. After a second call, where Johnny was able to answer some potential concerns, we knew we had our DJ. Johnny is amazing with answering any emails and addressing any questions or concerns. He was able to cater to the music and any announcements we needed. We have family with some very hard to pronounce names, and he made notes to make sure he pronounced everyone's names perfectly (bride's included). He performed for both our ceremony and reception, and the amount of compliments from guests about the music were too numerous to count. There was hardly a moment where the dance floor was empty, he kept the music flowing, the energy high, the guests engaged and just the entire night was fantastic. I can honestly say that our wedding could not have been as flawless as it was without the help of DJ Johhny. Words alone cannot express our gratitude with DJ Johnny and the integral part he played in making our day both memorable and absolutely perfect. If we ever have the need for a DJ again in the future, DJ Johnny will most certainly be our guy!”

“We booked John with Power Play Entertainment for our wedding and are extremely happy we did. We did a lot of research into DJs during the planning process as we knew it was an important role and could mean the difference between a fun wedding and an awkward one. “We loved everything about EMG for our July 2025 wedding. The process of meeting and setting up a contract was easy and efficient. It was a completely tailored experience and did not feel rushed or pushed at all. He gave great recommendations and really understood what our vibe was for 115 guests. We went with an acoustic guitar player for ceremony, electric guitar cocktail hour and reception along with a DJ (Josuel lead) for the reception. We also had the photo station Photo Booth which was perfect for the setting. However our biggest compliments go to Josuel who was our lead DJ. He was organized, prepared and had an excellent presence and composure. He even sorted our last minute changes with the venues matre de because we and guests were taking too long at cocktail hour.. he figured out little changes so I didn’t have to! Above and beyond. Also he had everyone and I mean everyone dancing the whole night to a blend of 80s rock, 90s pop 2000s alt.. it was just perfect. Cannot say thank you enough to him and the whole EMG group.”

“We got married in November at the Silver Bay YMCA, and we cannot recommend Scott and his team enough. We knew we wanted a live band for part of our wedding and they were the best band we could have chosen. Our first meeting with Scott we could tell he understood our wedding day vision right away and was willing to work with us on learning new music to fulfill our nerdy requests. For example the team learned acoustic versions of 90's alternative songs, and the groomsmen and bridal party walked down the aisle to Legend of Zelda, my wife walked down the aisle to Nightmare before Christmas, and then we recessed to Studio Ghibli. Cocktail hr, all our guests commented how amazing the band was and how they enjoyed the live music. If you want something different for your wedding, we were thoroughly impressed at the musical abilities and made our music dreams come true. Thank you to this very special team!”

“All I can say is WOW!!!!! For starters, working with EBE was so easy. From my first call with Mike, I knew we were in good hands. He gave us all the info and answered any questions we had. Before I get to the band, we also had a photo booth through EBE and I am so happy we decided to add it. Our guests loved it!! PLUS the attendant made an awesome album of all of the pictures with notes from our guests!! That was such a special thing to have to look through the next morning. And the attendant couldn’t have been any sweeter!! Now for the band…. We chose RIO and it was the best decision we made. Jonathan, the bandleader, was so kind and easy to work with. We emailed back and forth about what we’d like for the wedding and filled out a sheet that kinda organized all our thoughts. When we met with Jonathan we left the call and were like we are going to have the best wedding ever. He said “we’re going to knock the paint off the walls” and he did not disappoint!!!!! Rio was ELECTRIC. For one they are so so talented!! We had multiple guests say they performed songs better than the artist and we do not disagree!!! They had EVERYONE on the dance floor all night long - all different ages. And that is exactly what we wanted for our wedding. My husband and I love to dance and just love everyone being together and having a good time. You could feel the love and happiness in the room all night long and that is in large part because of Rio. The band members even came out and got on the dance floor at points and we LOVED it. They played hit after hit, fed off the crowd and perfectly fit the vibe we wanted. the next morning, the venue coordinator told us in her 15 years there, she’s never seen the dance floor that packed the entire night. She said usually there’s a lull but it never happened. And that’s all because of Rio!!! Jonathan helped us create a timeline for the night as well and it was perfect. It never felt like people were sitting at their tables for too long, which is something we really wanted to avoid. Everyone just had so much fun. We are STILL getting texts from our friends and family saying they wish they could party with Rio again. Everyone said it was the best wedding band they’ve ever experienced and my husband and I couldn’t agree more. Thank you Jonathan, EBE, and Rio for everything!!!!!”

He gives a lot of great suggestions. he listens and prepare himself very well to show up for your big day. Paris did our ceremony music and reception music.
