About SOUNDBAR Entertainment

SOUNDBAR Entertainment

Owner

Let's be honest — the thought of a typical wedding DJ is pretty awful. Cheesy announcements, recycled playlists, a DJ who played two other events that weekend. I built SOUNDBAR to be the alternative. Your reception is a once-in-a-lifetime production. Before the first song plays, I've already been working — planning every detail with you through unlimited meetings and a personalized online planning portal. On your wedding day, I manage the flow behind the scenes, coordinate with your venue and vendors, read the room all night, and make sure every single moment unfolds exactly the way it should — because this night only happens once.

I perform one event per day. Always. When I show up to your wedding, I'm fully prepared and completely focused on you — not recovering from someone else's Saturday night. No split attention. No recycled playlists. No surprises. The result: a packed dance floor, a night that feels genuinely like you, and guests shouting "one more song" when it's over. 10+ years and 120+ five-star reviews, built entirely on couples who couldn't stop raving about their night long after it ended. Best of Zola since 2023. Serving the Poconos, Scranton, Lehigh Valley and beyond. No hype. No gimmicks. No cheese. Your wedding deserves nothing less.

    So Worth It

Looking back, it’s clear how much David influenced the overall feel of our wedding. From the ceremony setup to the reception energy, everything felt organized and well thought out. The ceremony sound was clear and ensured everyone could hear our vows and our officiant. Cocktail hour felt relaxed and welcoming, and by the time the reception started, the night turned into a great party. Nothing felt rushed or overly scripted. We had so many guests comment on how simply enjoyable the entire day was. David make sure we stayed on schedule, and his assistant kept checking in to make sure we were taken care of and we stayed in the moment. SOUNDBAR was absolutely worth the investment.

    David Nailed It

We weren’t looking for anything overproduced or flashy — we just wanted the night to feel comfortable, fun, and true to us. David completely understood that. The reception had a great flow, the music made sense for the crowd, and the energy never dipped. People naturally gravitated to the dance floor and the night unfolded exactly how we hoped it would. Sometimes it’s the things you don’t notice, like awkward pauses and forced moments, that make the biggest difference. David quietly made sure none of that happened, and it showed. He absolutely nailed it and we couldn't be happier.

Perfect choice for our corporate event

We hired SOUNDBAR for a corporate event, and working with David made the entire process feel easy from the start. He was organized, responsive, and clearly experienced. Planning was straightforward, and he helped us think through the flow of the evening in a way that made sense for our audience. During the event, everything ran smoothly. Audio was clear for announcements and presentations, and the background music during networking was perfect. When it was time to shift into dancing, David kept the energy engaging without feeling over-the-top. We received great feedback from attendees about how polished and enjoyable the event felt. David handled the details quietly behind the scenes, allowing our team to focus on our guests. SOUNDBAR delivered a professional experience that still felt fun and welcoming, and we wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

Everybody Still Talks About Our Wedding

We knew we wanted a great party, but we didn’t realize just how much the DJ would influence the energy of our entire wedding. As soon as we had our first meeting with David, it was obvious that knew exactly what he was doing and we were in good hands. The wedding went perfectly and our guests were on the dance floor the entire night. Even though our wedding was a few months ago, our family and friends are still telling us how fun they had, and it was all thanks to David and his team. They created a night that felt exciting, inclusive and memorable from start to finish. Highly recommended.

    Truly Professional

What stood out most about David wasn’t just the music — it was how smoothly he handled the entire reception as an MC. Announcements were clear and natural, nothing felt overdone, and every important moment happened exactly when it was supposed to. He also worked seamlessly with our other vendors, which took so much pressure off of us. We never had to track anyone down or worry about what was happening behind the scenes. Everything just stayed on track. Because of that, the night felt relaxed and enjoyable instead of rushed or overly structured. Guests knew what was going on, transitions felt clean, and the dance floor stayed active. David handled the details so we could focus on celebrating, and that made all the difference.

Simply put, I provide a quality, professional and stylish entertainment experience without the unnecessary distractions that take the focus away from you and your guests. I offer a modern and upscale approach to wedding DJ entertainment — which means no party motivators, blow-up instruments or smoke machines. You also won't find any upselling, disappointments or surprises. I only perform one event per day, so I arrive fully prepared and focused on making your night everything it should be. You can count on me to arrive on time, keep the volume appropriate, make announcements at the right moments and keep your dance floor packed all night.
Most DJs take on multiple events each weekend—arriving shortly before your reception, playing a set playlist and moving on. That works for some, but it’s a very different experience from SOUNDBAR. I perform one event per day—always—so your wedding has my full attention. Every detail is reviewed in advance so I arrive prepared and focused from setup to the final song. I design your reception flow, coordinate with your vendor team, manage the timeline behind the scenes and read the room all night. You’re not just hiring music—you’re investing in a seamless reception, a full dance floor and a night that feels exactly as you imagined.
I personally perform at all events – no surprises. If there is ever an emergency or unforeseen circumstance that arises, I provide a complete backup plan to ensure you event will go on without a hitch.
Honestly, I recommend booking as soon as possible. I only book one event per day so my availability is limited. Most of my clients book several months in advance; many up to more than a year ahead. This is especially true for Saturday weddings and some of the more popular dates during the year.
Of course! In fact, I strongly suggest it. This gives me a chance for me to get to know you and for you to do the same. During our meeting, I’ll be honest and forthcoming in answering all of your questions so you can feel confident in what I can do for you. However, even without a personal visit you will still get the same great service and attention to detail you’d expect.
For public events, I welcome the opportunity to say hi and watch me perform in person. However, I respectfully do not invite clients to private events for several reasons. First, as each event is custom-tailored and unique to each client, the performance style I provide to one client may not be ideal for another. In addition, inviting potential clients to private events can distract from focusing and dedicating efforts on the event itself. If a DJ offers you to visit someone else’s event, most likely they will invite strangers to yours.
Great question—and one more couples should ask. Not all DJ quotes represent the same level of service. Start with focus: do they perform multiple events in a day, or are you their sole priority? Will the DJ you trust actually be there? With SOUNDBAR, I perform every event. Then look at what’s included: planning, coordination, timeline management, insurance and professional-grade equipment. Most importantly, evaluate their process—a templated playlist isn’t the same as a tailored, hands-on experience. At this level, price isn’t the differentiator—attention, intention and execution are.
Yes—every couple I work with receives a personalized planning portal. It’s a private digital workspace where you can thoughtfully organize your music, timeline and key moments at your own pace, from any device. It covers everything—from ceremony and cocktail hour music to your grand entrance, first dance, parent dances and announcements. We review it together during our planning meetings, and it becomes the central reference I use to guide your reception. The experience is intentional and streamlined—no scattered emails or spreadsheets—just one refined space where every detail is aligned and ready for a seamless celebration.
Certainly! I provide both ceremony and cocktail hour music for many of my clients. Just like with your wedding reception, I’ll work with you to discuss your music preferences and come up with a detailed itinerary to cover all of your needs from start to finish.
I love to work with my clients to get an understanding of which genres and specific songs they prefer. I can also accept requests from your guests during the event if you like. I use my experience reading the crowd to determine the best way to incorporate requests that will enhance your event, with the end result being a great reception and many happy guests.
Yes – that may be the most important information you provide! Sometimes it’s easier to start with a “Do Not Play” list so you can get a better vision of what you are looking to hear during your event.
I don’t specialize in one particular genre, but I have performed at Arabic, Jewish, Armenian, Polish, Portuguese, Indian, Russian, Italian and Latin weddings in the past. If you want to supply me with any particular songs, I’ll be happy to play them for you.
Please visit the Pricing section of my profile to see all of my rates up front and find a package that fits your needs and your budget. I don’t like to play games with my clients and I want your experience to be as pleasant and stress-free as possible.
I request a $500 retainer fee upon booking with the balance due two weeks prior to the event date. I accept most major credit and debit cards, electronic payments and checks electronically.
Absolutely. When you book with me, I’ll provide you with an agreement that details what to expect for your event, and protects you from any unexpected issues.
Yes — I carry a $2,000,000 liability insurance policy and additional equipment damage insurance, which exceeds most venue requirements. I'm happy to send a certificate of insurance directly to your venue upon request. Insurance not only protects you from unexpected issues — it's also one of the clearest signals of a professional vendor. Many venues will not allow uninsured vendors on their property.
I generally ask for a minimum 2-3 hour setup window for each event. More complex configurations — such as uplighting and multiple system setups — require additional time and I'll work with your venue to make proper arrangements. There is no extra cost for setup or breakdown time.
I am available and love to travel anywhere — destination weddings and events are always welcome. Travel is included within a 60-mile radius of Saylorsburg, PA at no extra charge. For events beyond that, a travel fee applies based on your venue location. Just reach out and we'll work out the details.
I will make announcements and introductions for all of the major segments of your event. Just like my music performance, announcements will be kept professional and classy, and the number of announcements will be minimal. If you’re looking someone more interactive – singing, performing routines and the like – I'm not the right person for you.
I dress conservatively and will easily fit in with your guests – suit with a neutral dress shirt and dress shoes. Nothing flashy, nothing gaudy and nothing inappropriate.
I always bring backup equipment with us to each event, but thankfully I have never experienced a malfunction because I purchase and regularly maintain professional gear.
For the average wedding, we are often working 8-12 hours straight to make magic happen for you! Feeding your hard-working vendors can often be forgotten about when planning your wedding and can result in them not performing at their best. So I ask that you include me and any assistants with me in your final meal count (I will provide you with a head count prior to your event).
NEVER. No signs on display, no business cards on guest tables, no company name displayed on the video screens. I am there to work for you, not promote my business. I prefer to let my performance be its own advertisement.
Tipping is never required or expected, but always genuinely appreciated. If you'd like a general guideline, the typical range is 10–15% of your total — though any amount is a meaningful gesture. Honestly, a glowing five-star review means just as much and helps other couples find the right DJ for their day.
