“We had a great experience with Second Song! Planning was super easy with the Rob team during the 9ish months leading up to our wedding. On our wedding day, DJ Shredy was THE ICON of the night. We had built the playlist for the pre-ceremony, ceremony, cocktail hour and dinner, and he very much followed that our wishes. We really appreciated that because music is a huge part of our relationship. He was also very responsive over email and phone. He had a great personality on the day and was the perfect blend of an MC who was communicative but not overly on top of the mic. During the dance party portion of the evening, he rightfully threw in choices of his own that we hadn't thought of and I am so glad he did. He brought life to the party and we have gotten compliments since our wedding night about how much fun everyone had and how perfect the dance floor was. “Booking with Black Tie Entertainment was the best choice we could have made. Our initial call with Matt Johnson to see what services were provided was an extremely thorough and engaging. My husband and I felt so comfortable with the services he recommended and appreciated the time he took to talk through typical timeline for DJs and coordinators leading up to the big day. We booked a DJ and month of coordinator and were wow’d. Our DJ, Chris Laing, was extremely professional in the way he led our introductory and timeline calls. “We absolutely loved working with The Hook Club. Our amazing planner, Greenhouse Events, recommended THC, and we were sold immediately after meeting with Dan. He is super relaxed, nice, and so knowledgable. Dan and THC team made planning super easy for us. They took time to hear about our hopes and helped recommend different band sizes for us. We hadn’t heard of a DJ band before, but loved the idea of some live music with the versatility to play all sorts of music, but our venue wasn’t very big and we also didn’t want to break the bank and hire a huge band. We chose the 4 piece DJ band with singer, sax, drums, and DJ. We knew we LOVED the sax, so we also had the sax play for cocktail hour (shout out to Elijah, who was amazing), and it was one of the best parts of the night. For planning music, they sent out a very detailed and thorough spreadsheet with more songs than one could imagine, and we could rate ones we liked the most, choose ones we definitely wanted or didn't, and choose specific songs for important moments. We met a couple times to review music choices as well. One of our biggest fears with a DJ was that they'd talk too much and be a little annoying, but Dan did a great job as MC, and was very low-key like we asked but announced important moments clearly. Dan and all the musicians had such great energy and got everyone on the dance floor. Our vocalist, Christen, was also amazing — her voice was spectacular, and she was such an amazing performer and got everyone involved in the music and dancing. So many people told us how much they loved the music and the energy, and had never heard of a DJ band but thought it was an amazing concept and the addition of live music over tracks added extra excitement and fun. THC also helped out with lighting (uplights and dance lights), and worked with our fantastic planner and the venue to help us decide the best setup. Ultimately, we loved working with THC. Their DJ-band setup is unique and adds so much variety to your music while allowing for some of the energy that comes from live performers. We danced the night away and had an absolute blast. 100% would recommend THC to anyone!”

“I can't recommend Amplify enough. I'm a wedding photographer and photographed a wedding in Florida last year that Nate was the Dj at. I've been all over the country photographing weddings and Nate is hands down the best I have ever worked with. When I got engaged I knew I had to have Nate be our DJ. We brought him to Kentucky and it was one of the best wedding decisions we made. Your Dj truly sets the tone for your wedding reception and can make or break it. The whole reception went by smoothly and exactly what we had in mind. Our crowd loves to dance and we had 5 hours of open dance floor and he kept the party going the whole time, the dance floor was PACKED! His energy & personality is like no other. All of my guest bragged on him and didn't want the party to stop.The whole booking process was so easy and organized, his response time is so quick, & and was so helpful through the planning process leading up to the wedding. “Our experience working with Jamie and Ceremony DJs can be best summed up by the fact that multiple people told us after the ceremony they wanted to book him for their wedding and at least one got his business card! I can't imagine a better DJ, truly. When we first met with Jamie, he said he could make people dance to anything and would keep people on the dance floor all night, and he WAS NOT LYING. The whole night, the dance floor was PACKED even though it was rainy/muddy/cold/wet. Jamie took us on a journey that covered all of the bases of the music we love to hear and dance to, seamlessly and magically (?) integrating genres with the best mixes, it was pure wizardry and really captured who we were. We as a couple care a lot about music and wanted music that represented who we were and what we like to listen to, and he did not disappoint! So much prep work went into this, he took patience and time to try to understand our tastes and vibe, and it was so cool to have the wedding played on vinyl- basically, Jamie just "got it" from start to finish and we had the best time! Our wedding also got delayed due to rain and a road closure and he was such a good sport, staying late to keep us all dancing for a whole other hour- so fun! Also, when our ceremony musician was stuck in traffic due to the storm, he was so prepared and had our prelude/processional music downloaded so we could still walk down the aisle to the songs we'd chosen. Overall, such a cool, kind, funny guy who was professional and prepared in every way and honest just takes time to meet and know his clients, and clearly just loves to share his love of music. I would book him for everything if I could. BOOK THIS DJ. You will NOT regret it!”

This for us included baby photos displayed for our parent dances, custom logo displayed as well, a photobooth, and a superb violinist for our ceremony. They were also extremely attentive to my crazy long detailed must-play list. “Chime entertainment is an all around amazing vendor for DJ/MCEE, Photo booth, and videography services. Our day was amazing thanks to them! The Photo Booth added such a fun touch to the evening and was definitely a huge hit with all the funny props! It also left us with a full digital album of all of our guests having the time of their lives and was immediately available for us to look at (which came in handy while we waited for our wedding photos to come back). Everyone wont stop talking about how fun/perfect our wedding was and these guys were definitely the reason. Adam D, our main contact, was always quick to respond and always available when it came to answering our questions. Our DJ, George, was incredible, not only keeping the energy high all night but also stepping in to help coordinate the evening. “Marcus did an amazing job as the DJ for our wedding at the Prospect Park Boathouse! Prior to the wedding, we completed a worksheet on the timeline and our song preferences, and then had a planning meeting with him where we went over all the details and he gave us advice on flow and timeline based on his extensive experience DJ-ing weddings. Through all our interactions, we could tell how detail-oriented and experienced he was. The Prospect Park Boathouse can be a tricky venue with its short load-in time and long, narrow layout, but Marcus knew it well and planned accordingly. We also had a Vietnamese/Chinese wedding; in addition to a DJ, we also had a pianist with a singer, and a bilingual emcee. This added some complexity in terms of timeline and switching between the singer and the DJ, but Marcus coordinated well with everyone, kept track of the timeline, and handled all transitions between live music and DJ sets seamlessly. He also showed up a little early to make sure all equipment was set up well and did a mic check during the cocktail hour. During the dance portion of the night, the dance floor was packed all night and people did not want to leave! He played all the songs we wanted (along with additional ones he selected) and all the transitions and mixes were fantastic and kept the energy/vibe high. Many guests commented on how great our DJ was! Even though we had a different emcee, we know that Marcus would have done a fantastic job as an emcee as well - he is warm, friendly, gracious, and charismatic. He is not only a great DJ but also a fantastic human being!”

“Golden Bells was PHENOMENAL! Marlon and the entire band absolutely crushed it at our wedding. Not only is every musician insanely talented, but Marlon curated the night perfectly -- easing in with oldies to get our parents and older guests moving, then seamlessly shifting into the EDM, pop, and Bay Area rap we love. It felt like the soundtrack of us, and everyone could feel that. One of the highlights of the night was when the band came onto the dance floor with drums, trumpet, guitar, and trombone -- and even let us drum in a bit. The energy was unbelievable. And Hava Nagila with a full live band? Unreal. The band/DJ fusion setup made the entire reception feel elevated, unique, and unforgettable. They're truly a one-of-one. “We honestly cannot say enough kind words about Superior Sound and DJ Kelvin!! They take the time to meet with you and know what you want. They execute it extremely well!! Since the wedding, we have had so many people tell us how much they loved our DJ and how GOOD he was!! He engages with you and your wedding guests, reads the rooms, does transitions, announcements and MC-ing so so well (I’m so picky about the announcement/MC aspect because sometimes it can feel so awkward and unnatural). But Kelvin crushed it!! I work in the wedding industry, and the value of what you get vs. what you pay is honestly unreal! Finding a vendor who treats you with professionalism while also like a friend/like family is so crucial for you wedding day to be successful. Cannot recommend them enough!!!
